Junichi Masuda just appeared on Pokemon Smash this morning and announced sequels for BW.

Pokémon Black 2 and Pokémon White 2
will be released for Nintendo DS this June.

Both games feature a new forme of Kyurem, with Black 2 having a Zekrom-version forme, and White 2 having a Reshiram-version forme.
Update: Masuda has tweeted that they are called Black Kyurem and White Kyurem.

I am not going to lie... I'm a bit disappointed with Kyurem's new formes. They just look... All over the place. I was looking for some that was, more serpentlike... Not.... WHAT. But alas, they may have some interesting tricks up their sleeves.

Considering the fact it's quite literally called "Black/White 2" hopefully means it's not just a better version of black/white. If it was actually like a sequel my mind would explode. But I ghuess thats a little too awesome. We'll wait and see though.

They still haven't called them formes, but ... they probably are. But perhaps can't CHANGE those formes.

Maybe like Deoxys forms in the Gen III games where they adhere to certain forms in one game as opposed to another (Normal form in RS, Attack form in FR, Defence form in LG, Speed form in Emerald). In fact, that's what I think it is... and it somewhat explains where those two hidden moves will go.

If that's the case then you shouldn't be able to trade the new formes to the original black and white since the sprite data doesn't exist for them. (there is however has placeholder data similar to how diamond and pearl had it for giratina, shaymin, and rotom.)

It won't make any difference. Forms are simply a value in the Pokemon data that can be set to anything from 0 to 255. For Pokemon without multiple forms, the value is ignored. If these new things are in fact forms, it'll be no different.

I find the "formes" really nice. I like almost everything about White except the tail. The tail on Black is the only part I like on it.

That IS quite fast, but keep in mind a lot of the time inbetween releases isn't ALL spend translating the games. The major factor in deciding a release date is market timing. But that's still quite fast, especially for Pokemon.

The idea of "all the regions in one game" has been around since there was more than 2. And I still don't understand why people think it would be any good.


I do think the airport will be used like the magnet train for gen 6 which I'm guessing to be closely related to gen 5.
Or something. It should bring is to some new location in BW2 at least though, yeah. Not old regions, we've been there, and more than once, why would they drain the rest of their greatness by adding boring rushed versions of them into games that don't focus on them?

You'll begin in a place called Hiougi City. There is a NEW rival, a NEW researcher named Akuroma,who researches about Pokémon strength, two NEW gym leaders, Homika and Shizui, who will represent the Poison and Water types respectively.
The Unova PokéDex will have approx. 300 entries (with Psyduck as #026, Riolu as #033 and Metagross as #254) so basically, old Pokémon will be back along with the 5th Gen Pokes.
Also this game is set 2 years after the time of Hilbert and Hilda.
It is confirmed that Black Kyurem will learn Freeze Shock and White Kyurem will learn Ice Burn.
And the Eastern portion of the Unova Region will be partially frozen.

Mmm, so that would mean a little more than half of the new Unova dex would be full of some old Pokemon. Good thing because lack of Pokemon for each type in BW made it hard for any of the Gym Leaders to not be redundant with every other trainers out there... much like Hoenn's Ghost and Ice Elite Four. Pokémon Black 2 & White 2 - Global Link Compatibility Confirmed

The official site has recently updated and has stated that the new battle season on the Global Battle Union will have a temporary pause during the duration and is scheduled to end ssometime in June. It is announced that this pause is due to the Global Link going down during June in order for a renovation based upon the inclusion of Pokémon Black 2 & Pokémon White 2. It is currently unknown how much will change and what features will be added for these games nor do we know how long the maintenance will be but as soon as we do.

I cannot wait for the next Nintendo Direct coming out in America. I'm sure we will be hearing a plethora of information for this coming year as well as the American release for Black 2 and White 2. Though, I'm still convinced that Nintendo will save the best for E3 2012. Sadly we can never go by rumors we hear or see online because when confronted about these, Nintendo always leaves us hanging with the usual comment, "Nintendo does not comment on rumors." Wow the suspense is killing me for these new Pokemon games. I am eager to see how Dream World will be affected. Who knows? We may even have an addition to Gen 5 Pokemon in Dream World. There is a small blurb saying that you will be able to download more special trainers to battle, so this could mean the trainers we see are special trainers (and the tournament is normally fought against regular trainers), and/or we could be seeing more trainers added to this game mode over time.

The japanese Magazine Famitsu have revealed a amount of information about Changes in Pokémon BW2.

First & Second Scan

- Shows the Large town developed in Desert Resort.
- A part of the Unova's Forest has developed in Hiougi City and in the South of Driftveil City.
- There will be a new seaport, to reach it you will have to take a boat Castelia City.

Third Scan

- In Driftveil City will have a container building with the old Cold Storage.
- The lighthouse will disappear in Driftveil City.
- There will be the formation of two craters.

Fourth Scan

- A forest blocked up the entrance of the old Challenger's Cave.
- In the mountain to the right side of Unova have some buildings, a cave and a plane.
- We see the image of Entralink in which its water was dried.
- And there beside the Victory Road we have places with tall grass and small trees.

The official site has posted wiith information stating that the episode of Pokémon Smash due to air on June 3rd will feature a feature on the portion of Black 2 & White 2: Pokéwood. It's unknown if it will show anything new, but it will likely show the mechanics of it so we'll report on it as and when it comes.

In addition to that, a Soundtrack CD has been announced for release in Japan on July 25th which has 173 tracks on it in a four disc set including unreleased tracks from Black & White, Emerald & Platinum.

Pokémon Smash aired yesterday and showed some footage from Pokémon Black 2 & White related to the special feature, PokéWood. In addition to this, a new trailer aired during the show and provided details, including the return of Ghetsis and N's Zekrom if you use Black 2 or Reshiram with White 2. Two new features of Black 2 & White 2 have been revealed by a promotional pamphlet posted on a Japanese Blog. First is the Fes Mission, which has you partake in missions with friends, in a similar manner to the EntraLink Missions in Black & White and get prizes based upon your score. This is done via the wireless features. Second is Join Avenue, which is part of a shopping centre which you can build with various friends via connecting with them. It's currently unknown to what extent but there is an image of putting a stand in the shop. Other players will be able to visit your shop while you can visit theirs.

In addition to this, a 2000 yen Point Card for the 3DS is being released with a Pokémon design. This card will cover the costs of the 3DS download software Pokémon Dream Radar and Pokédex 3D Pro.

We have learned that a bit of merchandise has listed Keldeo as being in its "Usual Forme". This indicates that Keldeo is to receive a new form within Black 2 & White 2. This factors in with hints from CoroCoro about Keldeo being engulfed in light during battle in the movie and its special power being revealed next month.

Following Sunday's reveal of the 2000 Yen Pre-paid card, we have details that Japan is also going to receive a pre-paid card for 1,000 yen. This card features artwork of Black Kyurem and White Kyurem. These cards can be used for the Nintendo 3DS eShop as well as the Wii Shop Channel and the DSi Shop and can be used to pay for any downloads including the Pokémon Dream Radar and Pokédex 3D Pro games. The 1,000 Yen card is due out on June 23rd in Japan, with limited supply, while the 2,000 Yen one is due out on July 14th.

A sale sheet has recently come up on 2ch detailing a couple of guides due for release this summer. One of these is listed as the "Perfect National Pokédex". Due for release on August 11th, the sale sheet lists the guide as, as well as including a Serial Code for a Pokémon with Hidden Abilities, being a Pokédex for all Pokémon from #001-649, with a special emphasis on the inclusion of Keldeo, Meloetta and finally, the last of the unreleased Mythical Pokémon, Genesect. It is currently unclear whether or not this is an accidental oversight or a hint of a reveal of Genesect in Japan this summer. It's completely unconfirmed that this means Genesect is coming, but is worthy of posting.

This item will change the Sacred Beast Formes into Incarnation Forme. They also have different abilities

→ Tornadus has Regenerator, Thundurus has Volt Absorb, Landorus has Intimidate

A press release has revealed that the Pokémon Adventure Camp, a special theme park area in Nagashima this summer from July 21st, is to giveaway 9 Pokémon. These Pokémon are each of the fossil Pokémon of the games; Omanyte, Kabuto, Aerodactyl, Lileep, Anorith, Cranidos, Shieldon, Tirtouga and Archen. The Pokémon are Level 15, have moves that are normally Egg moves and come in the Cherish Ball. These Pokémon can be downloaded on your Black, White, Black 2 or White 2 games, but you can only get one of the Pokémon.
