Friend Code (Nintendo Switch)

Friend Code (3DS)

NNID (Wii U)

  1. For the most part. For some games, but especially starting from 3DS titles, swapping saves when there’s still story elements not done can mess with in-game event flags, causing the game to hang when you reach that point, or outright just stuck. Some examples I can think of off the top of my head are (not an exhaustive list): SM/USUM would have the wrong Ruin of Sunne/Moone on the 4th island, meaning you can’t evolve Cosmog and progress SM/USUM again related to the flute on exeggutor island. It breaks SWSH would show you the wrong exclusive gym building. Whenever a dialogue related to the wrong gym leader is called by the game, the game would hang/crash SWSH again, depending on when you saved, you’ll be unable to progress to Zacian/Zamazenta past the lift, or have the wrong doggo spawned it and have it freeze once battle starts. Yellow saves in Red/Blue could cause load you into a glitched map, causing you to be unable to move ORAS Primal Battle would cause weirdness I think, but I can’t remember for sure

Observation of the Level-Exp Bug Around June 15th 2023, 10am (UTC), it was noticed by players on mobile, certain Pokémon being sent from GO to HOME has the Level of 1 with a Level 100 moveset. It was subsequently discovered that in HOME on the Switch, they appeared to be Level 100. It was also discovered that if you were to transfer such a Pokémon to Scarlet & Violet, viewing the Summary Screen would cause the game to crash. It was around June 15th 2023, 3pm (UTC), that players noticed that this issue (level-exp bug), as well as issue where XXS from Pokémon GO becomes random height (XXS-Height randomization issue), were both fixed. How the Level-Exp Bug works According to a message left on Discord by Matt (@sora10pls)(Mattyoukhana), depending on a species' experience growth rate, HOME applies an incorrect experience value to the Pokémon upon transfer, with only the Medium Fast experience group being affected. An example to look at would be Mythical or Legendary Pokémon. They are in the Slow experience group, and they got 0xFFFFFFFF written to their experience. As such, they appeared to be Level 1 or 100, due to how the device deals with the value of experience. (Pokémon data don't have Current Level as a data point in the data structure; it is instead derived by the experience stored in it) As such, it is dubbed the GO->HOME Level-Exp bug. A 'fix' on the user end As described by Matt, move the affected Pokémon into a compatible game, do not view the summary, and send it into a battle. The experience it should have would then be fixed by the game, and it will become a regular Level 100. Conclusion The prevailing theory is that when attempting to fix the XXS becoming random height issue, Pokémon HOME borked the code for handling experience values to match the GO Trainer's level, thus creating this secondary issue. It is currently unknown if HOME will revert or fix the levels of Pokémon that were already transferred. (Pokémon that were sent into HOME during the buggy period currently continue to have bugged levels in HOME) Additional info: Background for the XXS-Height randomization issue With the launch of HOME v3.0.0, Pokémon from previous games could be transferred to Scarlet & Violet. In Scarlet & Violet, if the size of a Pokémon is the smallest or the largest (in terms of scale), it qualifies for a Mini Mark or a Jumbo Mark respectively. Thus, players would want to transfer the XXS or XXL Pokémon from Pokémon GO and obtain these marks. In the initial weeks of HOME v3.0.0 launch, players have noticed that their XXS Pokémon from Pokémon GO were average sized when transferred to Scarlet & Violet, thus being unable to qualify for the Mini Mark. As it turns out, Pokémon HOME has been rerolling the Height and Weight values of any Pokémon that had 0 in both stats (explained in Route B on this page), and XXS Pokémon from Pokémon GO were caught in the crossfire. Files and contributors The files uploaded here are contributed by @theSLAYER and @sora10pls. They have been dumped in HOME format (PH2) and converted to PKX via PKHeX for usage with the games. The OT, TID, and SID has been changed for privacy purposes. As these files stand, they'll be similar to a player transferring a Pokémon from GO and leveling it up to 100. In some sense, the only 'special' copies would be the originals (those that have the GO stamp), with the bugged levels, in Pokémon HOME. It is also important to note that the bugged originals in HOME cannot be traded via HOME.

Save file is saved at the point where MC is about to catch Zekrom, before the N/Ghetsis Battle. Do whatever you want with it, save file has 2 illegal mons (level 52 shiny hydreigon, and shiny arceus with creation trio signature moves).
  4. Hello, I was pretty excited to play this and I got it to work on the Dolphin Emulator (5.0) but it's super laggy to the point where it's unplayable. I know I have a Mac which isn't the best but I know on XG there were optimal settings to get it to run pretty smoothly on less powerful computers, I know Colosseum takes a lot to play so is there similar things I can do to prevent the lag? The issues is in specifically battles, long cutscenes (like the intro), and it lags in the overworld as soon as you join with the girl.
10 hours into the game and my opinion is pretty much exactly the same as JackLikesBeans. I know this is only 1.1 and the work made to enhance the difficulty is great, although I'm personally not a big fan of the types and abilities change because most of my lost battles comes from completely unexpectable strategies and it's a bit obnoxious because you know at some point you're going to be caught off guard. I wish there was some kind of toggle which would let the player decide if they want to play with Drayano's modifications. I'm curious if you guys have planned to add more battle music from the battle mode in the future? Colosseum music is cool but it's always the same few ones we get to hear.
  5. I wanted to edit my first message but I figured I'd wait. i found out that if you go talk to the teacher in phenac city she'll manually update the info in the PDA, which is neat. about trainers docs - I beat miror b yesterday and all the trainers up to that point (miror b included) have their accurate pokemon data in the trainers' mons folder. so, at least up until miror b, all the info are there and seem correct, you just have to search for the right files. it's kinda tedious but it works. the most bugging thing is that, in the cave for example, since you don't know what exact order the .txt files follow, when you can take different paths you can't be sure if you're gonna fight trainer 1 or trainer 2. i mean, this documentation is barely of any use for people who just wanna play this game in the standard way, im only bringing this up because im doing a nuzlocke. so, about nuzlocking... up until where i am now, it seems definitely possible, but preparing for each battle is mandatory. I still don't quite understand how the AI works, sometimes it seems they just go for random moves, it's weird. I can't really find a pattern. sometimes they fake out my misdreavous, or yesterday even miror b tried to leach seed my sunflora at least 3 times. last thing I wanted to bring up is the miror b battle. note that im playing with no items in battle but also without level caps for now as up until miror b you can only overlevel your 2 starters, all the shadow mons you get access to are slightly underleveled and can't level up. im pretty sure the miror b fight would be near impossible with umbreon and espeon at 35, it would massively rely on good rng and AI messing up multiple times. for the record, i had a lv38 espeon and lv39 umbreon. looking at miror b's team the fight looked impossible, but the AI helped me out immensely. they kept water pulsing my sunflora instead of ice beaming it and ice beaming my umbreon instead of doing focus blast. ive no idea why that happened, i'd like to understand the AI better. a tiny suggestion i wanted to share is, for nuzlocking purposes, since miror b has 4 ludicolo, all with different natures and movesets, you should make them discernable from each other. except the one at level 35, the remaining 3 are all lv34 and female. i'd change the gender to one of them or make one lv33 just so you can tell them apart. i feel like it's important also because their movesets are pretty different from each other: one is physical, one is special, one is mixed, one takes more of a utility role with fake out and rain dance. again, these are all tiny suggestions specifically for people who want to nuzlocke this, but the few tweaks i mentioned wouldn't hurt anyone. im having a ton of fun nuzlocking this, it's super challenging but super rewarding. i'll keep sharing more insight
  6. Hi, new here, I found out about this through Pokétuber Shadypenguinn. Colosseum is one of my favourite Pokémon titles ever, I used to be obsessed with it as a kid. It's been forever since I wanted to play it again around a decade later but I never had the time/motivation to do so. So when I discovered this rom hack I was beyond excited and eager to play a revamped version of Colosseum! Really appreciate your effort publishing this! I started a couple of days ago and I'm attempting a nuzlocke blind run of this (which is probably a really bad idea although I'm very experienced in nuzlockes and just Pokémon in general). There are few things I'd like to point out: - I don't fully understand the kind of Pokédex section of the P*DA. I can see some Pokémon detailed info (typing, possible abilities etc) but I can't see others, and the criteria seems random. like for instance it shows detailed info of some mons I battled but it doesn't for some mons I actually caught. I'm very early in the game (about to battle Cail in Pyrite) so maybe I'll find out why later. - I was trying to grind a little bit in the square full of trainers in Pyrite and I noticed that the abilities of enemy mons may be randomly selected between the two they have access to. specifically, I'm talking about the trainer with Pelipper. the first time I fought them, their pelipper did not have drizzle, while the second time it did. Maybe the trainers mons change after you fight them for the second time? also because they don't have their shadow mon anymore? thought about this just now lol and while I'm at it, I would suggest removing permanent weather conditions triggered by abilities like drizzle like in the more recent games. It's cool to add drizzle pelipper which is a thing in recent games, but I'd make it last 5 turns. that pelipper was pretty scary, ngl. - The trainers mons sheet is very confusing. Maybe it's me and I'm having trouble navigating the files? I'd suggest making a single file with trainers names along with their mons and whatnot. I'm sure I'm not the only one trying to nuzlocke this and since the game is hard planning battles is crucial. - The Discord link you provided doesn't work for me... I will share more thoughts and suggestions while I make progress in the game. Keep up the great work!
  7. Don't think that's accurate. The Meowth gift which I received in-game (not injected from wonder card via PKHeX) is not flagged illegal on PKHeX. @Kaphotics can you respond to this? AliceTheAlice reported previously about the Mew having memories. For the record, my Meowth has memories as well. Apparently whoever I traded it too, has memories has well. Also to be clear, the Meowth from when I received it (right as I received it, before I used it in battle, and it's the same Meowth) has a set of memories, but they're rather different. Note: The Meowth did go straight to my party tho. Don't know if it'll have no memories if went straight to PC. Given the memories for the same Meowth is different across different points of the playthrough, and the fact that the wonder cards for both Meowth and Mew doesn't have memory data, I guess memories are gained and change throughout play-through? Given that my Meowth does have memories after right after it was received, maybe set some dummy memories, if no memory is asked of by the wonder card? (not that it truly matters, since it probably gains memories through play-through) edit: so I have a Mew with memories, and it's not flagged illegal. @AliceTheAlice check if your Mew is illegal on the latest update, and if so, tell us why it's illegal. I don't think memories (or the lack thereof) is the issue here.
  8. If you don’t get the details using a Den Seed finder, it’ll appear legal on PKHeX but won’t be legal. Den RNG is pretty well understood at this point. also note that modifying PID to use for battles online against unsuspecting opponents is against our rules.
