I don't know about that. I'm not minding that hat at all... I like Dawn's scarf admittedly, but in honesty, her appearance isn't as bad as, let's say, Gardenia. But it's all subjective in one's opinions, I guess. -
So did DP's Byron with Chesto Berry Bastiodon. Anyways, for the most part, it's some form of berry. I haven't seen anything like Leftovers or Life Orb or the more useful items or those really rare items. So I'm not even sure what to say.

That's determined by nature/IV/EV. I'm talking about their base stats I don't think any Eeveelution can go below 65 SpDef because Eevee herself has 65 SpDef. But then again... there are many Pokemon who lose one of their stats when they evolve (Wingull loses speed upon evolving into Pelipper)...

Eh, I don't watch much anime Let's see... if I were to name some... 1) RomeoXJuliet 2) Scrapped Princess 3) DragonBall/DragonBallZ 4) Many of Miyazaki's films (there are SOOOO many) 5) Some others like Grave of the Fireflies and that... I don't really watch your everyday anime, meh...

Actually Mewtwo, Leafeon has the most defense of the Eeveelutions (people forget about that and head straight to its attack power because unlike Flareon it gets a decent STAB attack). Also, Umbreon has the most special defense of the Eeveelutions (although it doesn't quite matter since both of its defenses are remarkably high).
