Swampert's so not hideous! Your tastes are bizarre... you even think Drifblim is hideous! o_O Ok, moving on... yeah, so fire is offensive by nature, so they are glass cannons. Unfortunately, Speed seems to be the most important stat in this game, so fire types tend to have the advantage for being normally faster than others. Infernape WILL destroy your team with his crazy movepool... and the fact that he learns SO MANY moves (even Nasty Plot, Swords Dance, Calm Mind and Bulk Up) makes me think they overdid him... Infernape being able to break walls is a COMPLETE understatement. Blissey? Close Combat. So you switched into a Grass type? They'll switch while you Nasty Plot... they send in a Hippowdon... Grass Knot time! Skarmory? Say hello to Flamethrower! Gyarados? Thunderpunch time! Infernape is so versatile it's not even funny... but there are ways to stop him. Try Gliscor... he almost always works... especially on physical sets. Physical sets are stopped by stuff like Hippowdon or Swampert... special sets by Blissey (as long as she avoids Focus Blasts) and mixed sets get destroyed by Tentacruel or Vaporeon (they're most likely to switch though). Bottom line is... don't get caught unprepared! As for evolution and all... they shouldn't stay cute... cute is for their little form. They should look tough or cool when they're final form. Apparently, that Lass in Route 8 agrees with you about that... it's okay to not evolve stuff in Mystery Dungeon, but in these games... evolution is almost necessary for most if not all Pokemon (microevolution... although Remoraid becomes an octopus!). Floatzel is tied with Starmie as the fastest water Pokemon. For some bizarre reason, Floatzel has Swift Swim as his ability... so if you're making a rain team, minimal speed investment still works so you'll outspeed stuff later anyways. You don't think Dragonite is cute? What about Gastrodon? Some final forms are somewhat cute... what about Muk? Isn't it the cutest thing you've ever seen? Oh, and don't forget Hippowdon. That thing is sooo cute, right? Pinsir is soooooo adorable... Exploud is so cuddly and pretty... and Golbat is the cutest thing ever!

Those two existed back in GSC actually... and Rock Smash wasn't a TM then. It's just that everything was way too low of a level overall in that game. But then again, I tried Shiny Gold hack... and I realized my levels were way too low everytime... they need more trainers and more exp... it feels so n00bish to me... and it's anachronism to have Lance have his team lower levels by 10-12ish after 3 years pass!

Starmie is weak to Pursuit, unfortunately, so I'd use Blastoise as a starter. Sure he can't hurt things too well, but he's good with stalling with Toxic or Restalk. However, Starmie is more of a standard spinner... but it always get hit by Pursuit which almost always OHKOs it.

Needs higher leveled things... better geography... etc... and much more events. Towers and caves might need to be expanded too... and Ho-oh/Lugia over level 40... maybe at 50 or so...

So what's your opinion on this? Do you think they WILL make this remake?

I got it Agility... and don't get too wrapped up about Empoleon's base 111 special attack. Blaziken's special attack is 110... and Charizard's and Typhlosion's are 109... and Infernape's is 104... aside from Infernape they're not too far behind... and with their bigger movepool, they're probably more useful I wouldn't stereotype that for all Fire types... ever heard of Magcargo and Flareon? Empoleon is used to take down dragons though thanks to his resistance to Outrage and being able to Ice Beam them down.

No, you were Red in RBY and your rival was Blue (his real name is Green but America changed it to Blue). The girl character that you don't see anywhere but FR/LG is named Blue... but America changed her name to Leaf. I like it the original way though...

Not to mention how Feraligatr looks more physically stronger... and yet Swampert is stronger... and Blaziken ends up owning them both with his attack stat. I guess waters were made to be bulky... but still... they made Floatzel... I want a starter like that... the fire types have been sweeping a little TOO MUCH.
-
Sceptile deviated from the other grass types... by being a powerful and quick one... but his main role is usually the subseeder. However, for the water type, I seriously can't wait. Feraligatr comes close, but he is WAY TOO SLOW!

Yes it was. And unfortunately, so was the cake They look very similar, but think as if they're in a parallel universe or something.

Red is NOT Ash... even if they are based off each other. Blue is also not Gary... and vice versa. I wondered why Red wouldn't speak...

I saw Mudkip with a high attack power, so I was pleased... then Blaziken comes along and usurps Swampert's power by having 120 Base ATTACK vs Swampert's 110 Base Attack! Seriously... this is all attacks against the water types... they always do that. Expect the next generation to do something similar... the fire type is always the strongest one...

The last place where you fight Red... where the highest leveled wild Pokemon in the game dwells... *gasp* a level 51 Golbat! Also, if you haven't noticed, the only official artworks not changed by Sugimori are the Johto Pokemon... and that's VERY suspicious.

I've pulled it off SubRoost Moltres with the bulky set before... it works wonders if used properly. Unfortunately, you'll need a lot of spin support to get rid of SR. Yeah, I'll agree with you, Flygon is good with that... but I don't use her for that purpose.
-
I always thought those two were counterparts of each other... only I found about the latter in Mt. Silver... I don't know... they're only speculations... a high chance it'll happen... but I only wish it would be... different and bigger to take advantage of the huge space in NDS cartridge.

I agree, but... it's actually the electric Pokemon that are in advantage. Fire types are quite rare and they have a TERRIBLE defensive typing. I'd be glad to see a Fire type own an Electric type, but to have it have unbelievable stats like Infernape is just annoying. I like Ninetales because of her aesthetics and modest stats... and a unique movepool to take advantage of. I want a fast Water type with strong attack power of any kind NOW! Why is Empoleon only as fast as Swampert? My rant about electric types explained inside this spoiler...

I liked how you got all three starters and how the graphics looked better and how the AI was MUCH HARDER... but other than Bulbasaur, the other two starters didn't work too well (Squirtle somewhat did though)...

They have pokemonwhitegold.com reserved... and it redirects to Nintendo's website... hmmm... what do you think about this?

There's something like this in Amity Park in DPP... but Yellow was annoying... because that Pikachu REFUSED TO EVOLVE! Once I learned Thunderbolt... it really was enough to evolve into Raichu, but Pikachu didn't want to...

Oh yeah. Woops... Tropius is not available in Diamond/Pearl (but he is in Platinum). I don't know what can replace him... probably Hoothoot or Starly I guess... I hate having to carry 2 HM slaves... although Fly is NOT necessary... nor is Defog (but it lowers accuracy which makes hax Pikachus land their attacks on my Roselia while my Roselia misses all the time... >:-[ ) I guess you can try Bibarel with Strength, Cut, Rock Smash, Rock Climb and Staraptor with Fly and Defog... and Surf and Waterfall, the two useful HMs, can go to someone like Floatzel. Surf on Empoleon if you have... Waterfall on Gyarados or Floatzel.

I've never seen Brave Bird on Aerodactyl before. Is that actually legal? EDIT: Never mind. I see what you're saying. Or even better... Head Smash!

I've seen those pictures, but is it genuine? I know for a fact Nintendo copyright names like Pokemon Topaz, Black, Amethyst... and a bunch of other color names for some bizarre reason.

Skarmory can do the same thing with Bibarel, but no one uses Skarmory as a HM slave.
