Ok great thanks! Now you guys were talking about other languages.  Any work into generating the pokemon for the other languages? And HaxAras, do you plan on releasing the jap ones? (Not sure if we need them, I will have to check our archives).

I did release the Japanese ones. I ripped from his save and purified trigger_deaths English Pokemon since he made them public as shadow Pokemon and I made my Japanese ones public on Insane Nutters forums. I've definitely downloaded the Japanese ones from this website twice months ago. So if you need the files, I can send them to you. They're in gen 4 format.

The ones I kept to myself (and my best pal) were the English ones with HaxAras as the OT. They were my first E-reader Pokemon that I got myself and my first English ones. I wanted to keep them to myself.

If I'm not mistaken, Zerbe92 was the first person to get non English-Japanese ones. I don't remember him talking about them but I don't think he'd make them public or he probably would have. I don't currently have a PAL copy of Pokemon Colosseum so I cannot get them or I would happily do so and share them.

Thanks for releasing this! I feel sorry for the people who paid serious money for the genuine gba distribution cartridges.

I still don't see the problem. I'm honestly grateful. The less people who aren't serious videogame collectors like me, trying to buy these things the better. These are very expensive and the few of us willing to buy them could do with less competition. I also don't see this as de-valuing the carts.

I can download gen 3 games online for free but that hasn't de-valued the physical carts or made me want to buy the physical ones any less.

    Use VBA-M Beta 2 https://sourceforge.net/projects/vbam/

    Or VBA-M Beta 3 (which I haven't tested yet) https://github.com/visualboyadvance-m/visualboyadvance-m/releases

Link support was improved and is mostly stable now. Here's a tutorial for setting up multiplayer http://web.archive.org/web/20151006182128/http://vba-m.com/forum/Thread-multiple-instances-of-vba-m?pid=7684

Thanks Deoxyz for that unexpected christmas gift!

    And Merry Christmas everybody!

Not to sound un-appreciative. But that newest version of VBA has already crashed on me when I tried to reset emulation. I tried to do a wired link between two instances of the program and it doesn't make any sense how this would work.

With the instructions on how to use the Distro cart that I have, I don't see how it would work with VBA.

VBA keeps crashing. You need to start the Distro cart and Then turn on and insert the other GBA game. And it just got all laggy and choppy. That usually happens to me after I've used it for a while and then I have to basically re-download it. I swear, that has to be one of the most poorly made programs I've ever used.

I'm just going to have to wait until I get an actual cart in my possession. No big deal.

I'm fairly certain the VBA emulator has link cable emulation support. Though I mainly uploaded it for historical preservation, and for public knowledge, especially after I saw the demand for it from our researchers. A GBA everdrive will get the job done for those who want to use it if VBA doesn't work. Anyway, i put up two more links if the first one gives anyone trouble.

Note, I'm sorry if anyone didn't want this public, but I've been thinking hard about it for a while. I did pay a large amount of money for it so I understand that, but I honestly don't believe GBA distribution roms will make it that much easier to make counterfeits with than with DS distribution roms. It's 2016 and all pokemon distribution related data should be publicly available. We already started with posting our Mew saves regardless the obvious potential repercussions, so why stop now?

Yeah, VBA has link support. I've just NEVER been able to get it to work properly. VBA is the most unstable program I've ever used.

  5. 2 minutes ago, Deoxyz said:

The ROM. I doubled up on the links to keep it more indirectly connected from the site due to the legality of roms in general. I don't want to put the site in any potential trouble.

If it makes you unsure about it being malicious, I can upload it elsewhere, but I've uploaded files before so I hope that would help the credibility.

It's not that I'm unsure. Malwarebytes blocks it on FireFox and Chrome. I couldn't figure out how to make a web exclusion. It's not really something I've ever looked into, why would I?

It would be more of a curiosity to me anyway I guess. I don't have a GBA flashcard and I learned a bit about GBA distro roms recently. The 10th anniv one needs a link cable and I can't really do that with an emulator or an R4. I also can't program or make tools so it would be useless to me there as well. But hopefully the people who can do those things can download it.

I dont know if a real japanese e-reader works with english games but using dolphin and vba emulators PAL game does not work with japanese e-reader, but i remember years ago when they made the first dolphin version with gc-gba connection e-reader didnt work with any version, that means it could be a problem with the emulator. But for now changin the savegame from PAL to JP and after fight 25 e-reader trainers to PAL again the e-reader PAL shadow pokemon can be caught with emulators

Also, the english version from that youtube video seams to be an USA version, not a PAL version, maybe e-reader works with USA but not PAL games, maybe in the future i try USA Colloseum in Dolphin

The Japanese E-reader CAN scan the card data into the English game. That's MY video to show proof that it's possible. I'll post pictures of all my games and E-reader's and cards if you don't believe me.

    Great work @Zerbe92!

Is it possible for someone to upload pk3 copies of these pokemon both not shiny and shiny? Would be nice to get them into the archives!

I've purified trigger_death's English E-reader Pokemon and my Japanese ones. I have not made my personal English ones from the video public. As I've only shared them with my best friend and they're 2 of a kind. I'm actually trying to collect every single ribbon on them.

I don't know anything about RNG (Other than I hate it). I need to play through Colosseum again soon. A friend and I want to play through it together. It might take a while but I could provide more save files to experiment with.

Making any GBA rom public would not only create a chaos on ebay

Chaos on Ebay just sounds overly dramatic. As stated above, in some cases several times. Scumbags will be scumbags and we can't control what they do with things that are publicly available. It's the responsibility of the buyers to look into things before they just go buying any random cart they come across.

There's also not a huge market for these anyway. It might even kill the market a little if people can just use a tool to get their own 10th anniversary Pokemon. People like me, who collect physical hardware will always be interested. But the rest, can just use a tool to get legit 10th anniversary Pokemon without spending thousands of dollars.

Something I also said before and will say again. I will get one of these. I will dump it. Nothing you say will ever stop me or change my mind. To say I hate these people who hoard rare things that could benefit others because of it's "Trade value" or "Rarity" is an understatement.

As Invader Tak has posted above, I've contributed to a project to preserve as many legit gen 3 event Pokemon as possible, still on the original games. I've spent hours on that project and a decent chunk of money too. I spent hours filling up a Ruby save with shiny Berry Fix Zigzagoon, shared a save with R/S Regi Dolls so other people can get them legit, etc. Anything I have that I can, I will make public.

Thanks a lot. I extracted them and already sorted them.
Excluding the hacks these are 373 individual Mews.
Also I already was taking a look at the Trash Bytes and there's one thing I noticed...
    And this is very interesting...

I've been wondering. I'm assuming you have a program to sort through them all. Would you happen to be able to separate them from the rest and put them on their own save? I was interested in trying to find all of the unique mews and separating them but with hundreds of Mew, that would take forever without a program or help.

  9. Imagine if the Mona Lisa was privately owned and locked away in some collectors safe.
"It's too valuable to be out in the public for everybody to see."

I don't see how releasing these to the public isn't the best way to preserve them. We wouldn't have Suloku's tool or any of the wonder cards on this site preserved if people kept them to themselves because they're rare. That's just greed.

Ebay is already full of fake carts. Go do a search for GBA carts. It's the responsibility of the buyers to look into what they're buying. Ask questions and do your own research. And to report the sellers peddling fakes and scamming people. I've reported several sellers selling fake GBA Pokemon games before.

    This one was my favorite.

Apart from the fact that doing so would be devastating to people like Metropolis who paid serious money for the distribution system, all 10ANNIV distribution carts (carts, not devices) that have appeared on ebay over the years are custom flashed ROMs into Nintendo dev carts.

What I'm saying here is that if you have just the cartridge from the event, the chances are it contains a modified ROM that distributes legit 10ANNIV events and not the ROM untouched. There are some collectors who buy cheap Nintendo dev/prototype cartridges, like a dev cart for an unfinished Catwoman demo for example, for ~$20 and they flash rarer ROMs into these carts and sell them online for 10x prices. This piece of information comes from collectors of the AssemblerGames forums.

Last but not least, making a ROM like that public, would have the same results on the ebay world as the Mystry Mew saves did. Casual eBayers who have no idea what Project Pokemon is as a site, would have no idea if they bought public or not distro devices.

I'll be paying serious money for any and all carts that I buy in the future as well. I don't care about the perceived value of something in somebody elses collection or the value to some seller. Information should be free and public. Any and all distribution devices I ever buy, I will be making public. The only reason I haven't dumped my DS distribution carts is because I currently do not have the means to do so. I have massive respect for Metropolis both for their Gen 1-3 conversion tool as well as their offer to dump the modified ROM.

If they spent a ton of money on it and care about the value, that's their business. I'll be spending whatever it takes to get one of these ROMs and dumping it no matter what. That's been my plan since I first learned about them in 2012.

The only thing I care about is preservation.

If it's the real thing or a 20$ cart. I guess we will have to find out.

As for making it public. I can't control what scumbags do on Ebay or uneducated people buy on that website. They should do research before buying something like that.

I own a 10ANNIV distro ROM, which I would prefer to keep out of the public domain for reasons of devaluing it.

Please respect my decision not to leak the ROM, it's because it is a highly collectable item,

Thank you for what you've offered to do. Just letting you know now though. I'm in the process of getting one of these myself and the very moment it's in my hands, I will be dumping it and making the entire thing public.

The killscript version is the same script, but instead of setting the flags that the normal event uses, it erases itself from the savegame so you can't receive another egg. I you want to make multiple eggs, I can send you a modified version that doesn't kill itself -> you'll get an egg each time you talk with the man in blue/green. The code to generate the pokemon is untouched, so the egg will be exactly the same. If you are going to get so many eggs, maybe you'll want this script.

Yes please! That would save me so much time! Like I said, I want to hatch shiny ones of all the gen 3 egg events for my personal gen 3 collection. So I was expecting this to take dozens of hours. I don't really care about stats or natures so outside of that, I had no need for multiple eggs.

That would be incredible. I'm assuming it would only take slight modification to change the Pokemon/moves to the different events. I got a working Farfeth'd ticket that I've been loading into the editor and then modifying the Pokemon, save it and then load it into Emerald.

  13. What I ended up doing was loading some Spanish event card, injecting the egg script and clicking on the "Killscript" option, saving the WC3 and then when prompted to save the file, I saved over my Emerald file. I load up the save in VBA, accept the egg and save. Then I load up Triggers PC, take the egg and repeat.

I intend to get enough eggs to scan with Triggers PC for a shiny. I was wondering about their legitimacy/legality but I'm not too worried since I don't intend to share them with anybody. I mean, I might give them to my best friends but only one is an event collector so all I'd really have to tell her is that it's not an official event and problem solved.

  14. 21 hours ago, suloku said:

Works fine on my end, can you post the exact steps that trigger the error?

I don't know why the error occurred. What I was doing was going into the WC editor and picking a random one from the files and then clicking on the egg event option. Once I had the Wish Chansey picked out, I then just saved. Then clicked the x icon to close the window because I didn't know what else to do. It never worked though. Eventually I just repeated that and saved it as a custom WC. I'd just "Inject WC" and activate the modified card and the program gave me the eggs.

    Edit:
I was trying to make a video showing it but now I can't even get the program to work properly. I keep loading and injecting WC's and the man at the PokeCenter just keeps thanking me. I can't delete the old WC even though the tool said it would overwrite it because the Wireless function in VBA is worthless.

Edit 2: Deleted all the wonder cards I messed with and tried to make a new one and got the error again. I remember now, this is what I did the original time, got this error and then just loaded a legit ticket and modified it.

    183kXoC.png

    vny9Qnn.png

I was able to make a custom WC last time and both times I can't save it. Is there some way I'd be able to inject egg events into my Emerald save using VBA? I can easily write these to my GBA save and use a wireless adapter to delete the WC. (Even though the program says it overwrites it).

I can't remember if you guys said these would be considered legit or legal. None of that really matters to me. It's more for personal use in Pokemon Colosseum/XD/Casual playthoughs and my trophy collection. I want to get a bunch of wish eggs, scan them with Triggers PC for shinnies to do future playthroughs of gen 3 games with.

I can easily hatch a regular Chansey shiny and then import to gen 4 and use the glitch to get any move on any Pokemon but gen 3 is the main gen that I play.

    Edit 3?:

I have no idea what I did. I took a Spanish legit event and modified it a little and was able to get a custom WC that I can use as many times as I want to give myself Wish eggs. I accidentally gave Farfetch'd the wrong move at one point and I was able to successfully edit it and it still works.

  15. I was messing with the tool. I tinkered with it once before but I never injected anything. I most just loaded a save or two to look at the options. I was trying to inject a wish Chansey into my Emerald save to see how it worked and got this error.

PC version of the tool, VBA save file. Not really open in any other programs. I have Triggers PC open but I save my game, messed around a bit and then loaded up the tool so I don't think that would be a problem.

  16. Sorry to double post, I really dislike doing this. My last update was pretty substantial but I wanna make sure this one is seen. This error I've encountered is driving me insane. I'm using Triggers PC and every few minutes, it's just saying my saves have been modified outside of the tool. Then asking me if I want to update. They are not open anywhere else!

I've booted up Emerald, saved. Then reloaded Triggers PC.I've re-loaded the program entirely after closing it with task manager. I have also clicked yes to save the changes. None of these things made a difference. What I'm currently doing is just sending all my money, items, bp, soot, etc. to HaxAras' PC from all the saves I have in Triggers PC. Every time I need an item or TM or whatever, searching for it through saves is annoying. So I'm putting it all in one place to save time. I don't know why this would cause Triggers PC to think it's been updated though. I saved, left it idle and it still did it a few times.

I also encountered this the other day. I'm not sure how it happened. Thankfully, it was easily fixed with A-save editor. I just changed the langauge back to Japanese and the name was corrected as well as the OT. Same thing happened to my Suicune.

    AqHIPzS.png

This one happened tonight. It's on one of my save files. I can try to find it and send it to you if needed.

    9wNw66x.png

The final problem I've been having is Triggers PC crashing when I try to send decorations to my PC from a save. I didn't get the unhandled exception the first 2 times and it hasn't happened in a while. I've been saving constantly but I'll copy it if it happens again. I know it said something about "Not related to an instance of an item" or something similar.

(even with correct title ID and enc title key, it prompts "download fail" to me),
else I'll be willing to let my computer run through the night to try to brute force a range, bit by bit.

So you're just unable to download it in general? You guys kept saying it would take an insanely long time to brute force it. I don't know much but I kept wondering how long it would take if you had multiple computers attempting to crack it and there was some way they were all able to communicate what's already been tried. If there's xxxxxxxxxxxxx possibilities, sure it might take a while. But if you had 17 computers running day and night, I doubt it could last forever.

  18. I'm running Windows 8.1 pro and have Windows Defender and Malwarebytes Anti Malware. I've had it installed since it was released and I have not had a single issue. There's also a complete lack of anybody else in this thread claiming to have problems with it. If you're really skeptical, I'm sure somebody could install the events to your saves and send them back to you.

I have Ocarina digital. And a powersaves. I'll be looking into getting another 3DS to inject and rip events in the future.

One of the things I'm most interested in trying is to get my shiny Abra on Crystal into my dgitial copies of RBY and seeing if I can import it to gen 7. I'll do the same using the gen 2-3 conversion tool.

I've also been wondering. Can you use Homebrew to backup NDS roms and .sav files?
