you are right, i should change it. At first it was just the names but some names are repeated so it caused problems.

This is probably related to the egg location issue noted in the "Known issues" thread.
Simple fix would be to add a combobox entry labeled something like "Day-Care Couple (4th Gen)" that is used for the value of 2000.

A 4th gen Pokemon that was breed has an Egg met location of 2000 and that data is kept after being transferred to, but it is not displayed in-game. when loaded in to pokegen it displays the met place in a red box with no text.

If you place a Pokemon into the daycare center and then take it back, it is added to the pokedex. Just rip the .pkm of the starters from each save and have them all on 1 save. Then when you get the to daycare center that is right after the 1st gym, you place them in and take them back out to get the Pokedex data.

What is this unknown number? Could it be the IV/EVs? Or it`s better not mess with it?
I think it it like a PID. I know it is what determines gender, maybe even natures, abilities, and alternate forms. Not really sure, I have not really researched it.

Rename both files and add a .narc extension and open them in an narc unpacking program. then you will get 2 folders that have 616 little files inside them select those folders in the trainer editor. after editing repack the folders in to narc files.

Thanks, also for some reason when i add Message 7 in to a function my script seems to freeze on any Applymovement. you have any idea?

I am trying to make a script that is executed when the player is standing in a certain spot, or when they enter the zone/before the zone loads. I tried to look at example scripts from other parts of the game, but my test script is just freezing the game when I enter the zone.
Here is what I have so far just to see if it is ran at the right spot, I made it the first script in the script order. This is in HG if it matters.

Dawn and Lucas' DP and Pt sprites are in the game, you just need to make sure you are using the correct Trainer Type.

I think you are overlooking something. 4th gen move tutor moves and extended names are not banned. I use a Scizor nicknamed "Surprised?" with Superpower in GBU matches all the time.

Seems like the IVs play a role, but I don't know the formula.

The only problems it has is with an 86h =/= 0.
The program is perfectly fine shifting a DPPt Pokemon, if you want to get one from that.
86h: HGSS Pokeball04 (pokeball) went to 00, which is pretty inconclusive. Need to test more.
I just took that as the HGSS ball data was being moved to the DPPt ball data and was being reset to 0. If you can run some test shifting legit HGSS ball Pokemon(like lure, heavy, etc) with the real shifting program from Nintendo we might be able to see what it is doing there.

This program should simulate the effects of a 4th generation Pokemon being shifted with the Pokeshifter. All information was gather from what kaphotics posted. Since I only have 1 DS, I can not run tests to see if Pokemon ran through both the Pokeshifter and this program made 1:1 binary matches.

The program does not load the met location of Pokemon obtained form the daycare man as a egg in B/W. The value seems to be 60002.

So.. Have you guys fixed the problem with Pokemon names not being translated if you started before you patched the game?
There is no problem, once you catch a Pokemon its name is part of your save file, not the rom.

The SID displaying as 96209 and not 30673 is a from a typo I made in making the code. The money is stored as a 32-bit singed int and the SID is a 16-bit unsigned int.
The code overwrites the first 16 bits with the bits form the SID when if should overwrite all 32-bits. If you had 65535 or less cash, then all the bits used by the cash will be replaced and your SID is shown. If you have 65536 or more. then there are bits in the upper half of the 32 bit value that is not modified, so the number displayed is the SID plus upper half the of the 32-bit value.

Since the fixed code showed the SID of 30673, that would be the second result. 65536 + 30673 = 96209

Hey guys so if I wanted to make a legal (legit looking with legit looking data so that others won't know) kyogre or a legit-looking kyogre...that's shiny and perfect IVs
what do I do?
I already have a crappy Kyogre...
Should I change the PID/SID/and trainer ID (for kyogre) and change the IVs to 31s and make it shiny?
Do i need to change anything else?
Also, if I wanted to run it through the legality checker, which legality checker do I use?
Is there a HGSS legality checker now?
