I hear ya. Personally I do not see it as a fighting type, and it's name has the stench of flying. Some say dragon and even bug... but no.

But the trailer is normal... Unless it's both. Some say it would be dragon, but... just...I...loook.....ugh... And that aura sphere esque move looked like fire, and kinda like the sun, but in all honesty it might've been giga impact.

One suggested that Sylphs are female spirits associated with the air and wind, but this trailer makes it seem as if none of the moves are flying type...

I don't want it to be normal/flying, as that would be dull as.. smuck. But this is an interesting observation.

Well some starters are flat out cool to me, despite their pure typing such as Sceptile, but this gen... Better not have mono starters. That'd be boring, unless they give them interesting stats and moves and DW abilities (if that returns).

If I had to suggest my preferred starters it would probably be Torterra, Sceptile, Emboar, Typhlosion, and Venusaur. Guess I love dem grass. Next gen I'm gearing towards either Chespin or Froakie. If Froakie is an ice and is fast, I'm going for Froakie, but if Chespin is Grass/Dark or Grass/Ghost, I'm going for him.

Not that I'd understand AT ALL why it would go ghost, as cool as that could be.

Well, competitively, anyway.

Sometimes I wonder why I bother. In short, IGN are the epitome of terrible reviewers. The only good thing they did recently was name Journey Game of the Year, surpassing such macho shoot-em-ups such as Gears of War, Halo 4, Call of Duty, etc.

Journey is a creative game n' such.

Not something I'd want... I like variety. Although I do agree, as long as Fennekin isn't fire/fighting, I'm good. But the others HAVE to be multitype.

That's cool, I thought you would scoff it off. I think the player needs to feel more connected to the Pokemon, rather than just being numbers and digits in practice.

Also a new type maybeh?

I may make a thread in this wasteland about such a topic, if it hasn't already.

I am sort of angry about something... Did I ever tell you, or indicate to you, that I am very passionate about critiquing? Especially towards gaming, I'm very critical about the design and process of them, and the execution, and when I said to one Youtuber that IGNentertainment is a terrible collection of reviewers as they are not critical or insightful enough, he lashed out saying I was an opinionated crybaby... While I"m not offended by such pathetic insults, I am offended that my perspective is not considered... What do you think?

How Would You Improve Some Pokemon (Competitively)?

Agreement. Ultimately, there should be at least one ability that would make Beartic effective outside of rain/hail, because relying solely on weather is not my cup of tea. Types Ice could grow to resist are: Grass - Freezes them Bug - Bugs hate the cold, or at least most do Perhaps water (meaning they would both resist each other) A Bug/Ice Pokemon would be among my favourite pokemon if they made it... Speaking of which, MAKE IT HAPPEN GAMEFREAK! Mmmm, now I'm thinking of tea... Speaking of tea, which constitutes classiness (because it does, don't argue with my absolutely perfect logic), here's a pokemon that is "classy" but kinda pathetic: Type: Bug/Flying Ability: Pressure Stats: 70/80/102/80/102/40 Vespiquen has the stats, the movepool (I think), but it has one major disadvantage: it's type. I honestly think that Vespiquen should be the gem in the dark cave, the rare specimen whose pre-evolution is total garbage (which Combee is at least), but it evolves into something great. There could also be a male variant of Vespiquen focusing on mixed offences, although if it's speed was that low that would suck... It doesn't need to be a Psuedo legendary, no, but it could be more interesting type-wise. This pokemon is royalty, and I think it looks awesome (but kinda generic at that), so it's a shame it's typing let's it down so much. They could actually make an evolve form of this pokemon with these traits, which would be cool. Also give me BUG/ICE NAO So, here's my proposition: Type: Bug/Psychic, or Bug/Dark. Abilities: Levitate/ DW Pressure/Marvel Scale (<- No) Stats: 85/80/105/80/105//50 BST: 505 (pretty high indeed, but it's a queen, come on) Though this does not mitigate it's rock weakness, it does make it more interesting type wise. I think it should have a more interesting type due to it's nature/origin. Also, am I the only one who thinks a Psychic Bug would be neat? Nonetheless, here's the run-down: Bug/Psychic rundown: Flavour to support type: It uses telepathy to communicate with it's hive/minions, blargh Bug/Dark Rundown: Flavour to support type: The epitome of royalty in the hive, she orders the many workers of the hive to do her bidding, regardless of their physical state. But Lorsh, why not Poison? Because Poison is boring... Moves: Roost - because Signature moves Bug attack/Bug Defend Heal Bell/Aromatherapy Psychic Moves: Calm Mind, Psychic, Psyshock, Light Screen/Reflect, Zen Headbutt Dark Moves: Nasty Plot, Dark Pulse, Crunch, Payback, Taunt (useless) For fun, male variant Vespiquen! It's a king, but unlike the defensive Vespiquen, it's offensive! Yay! We cetainly don't have enough of those!! Type: Bug/Flying or the opposite of Vespiquen's "new" type Stats: 50/105/80/105/80/85 BST: 505, the same as Vespiquen Ability: Levitate/DW Guts (Wasps die easily, right?) Similar movepool, just caters to offensive sets. It may lose access to support moves, but gains access to offensive moves, such as Leaf blade, or poison moves. Moves: Swords Dance (I imagine a kingly conquistador like thing, with blade arms or jaws or something) Leaf Blade Night Slash (Dark) Psycho Cut (Psychic) Special movepool would not be barren. should it have agility, or would that be unfair given it's already decent speed? It may behave like Heracross does, except with a different type and levitate, so it could be popular with choice scarf sets. It would also be a mean attacker to some pokemon. So what do you think? Are these eligible improvements, or do they both suck? I highly doubt Vespiquen would go to the top tier with these changes, but it would be viable for RU or UU.

If they're plain types then all interest shall be lost...

The morale system was something I proposed, unfortunately... But the "the more you battle together, the stronger the bond = your pokemon will perform better", is real, but the exact details are in the darkness. I want them to add more mechanics. The morale thing would be treated similarly to health that can regenerate on it's own, although I am unsure how it would function. The problem with such a mechanic is that professionals may complain that it may make the game more luck oriented than it already is, although if the system that I proposed were put in than the player could keep track of it.

That's lucky. I think that happened once with Zapdos in platinum... I was like "wut".

Making an OU team, with the main ones being Donphan, Metagross, and Hydreigon, although I don't want to use just OU pokemon. I put Chansey there, although I would rather use Umbreon.

I suppose that's true, although 95/80/80 isn't really "bulky" in this gen. I think it just needs speed or more resistances, and because it's a bear, higher attack. It's movepool also should be expanded on, and it should at least have another ability. May I suggest thick fat? That would be pretty awesome - perhaps too awesome... Intimidate would also be cool, considering it's massive size, which would make it bulkier too on the physical side.

Then they made Beartic weak.... I don't like it's stat distribution. Also shouldn't they be a bit bulkier if they're going to be so slow? Well, they're not fragile, I know, but Beartic... It's stats are meh.

I'm putting my hopes that Froakie is an Water/Ice type that's fast and furious, because it looked rather agile in the trailer (that said, Oshawott looked faster, but it's actually not). If it's not an ice type, I hope they introduce something I'm looking for.

For Gen 6, Junichi Masuda stated that there will be "a new battle mechanism that allows your Pokémon to become even more powerful when the bonds you share grow stronger". When I thought of it, Pokemon needs more battle mechanics. There could be a morale mechanic. Pokemon have their own morale ratings, and it behaves statistically like health, except based on the Pokemon's performance and player strategy, it could go up or down. The lower it gets the worse it'll perform, to the point where it could disobey the trainer. Likewise, if it'll do good, it'll perform optimally and perhaps greater. I dunno. It would make the player care more about their Pogeymanz, but it has it's problems.

Here's another for those that still live in this post-apocalyptic forum. Current stats: HP: 95 Attack: 110 Def: 80 Special attack: 70 Special Defence: 80 Speed: 50 There would be minor changes made to this guy's stats to make it more than a more "meh" Mamoswine, which I guess it inevitably will be. HP: 110 AttacK: 120 Defence: 95 Special attack: 65 Special Defence: 95 Speed: 60 Make it more bulk focused than Mamoswine, for starters. Also, despite the fact this may seem as overkill, I really don't understand why GameFreak makes bears so weak... Because they're bears. Oh well, I guess making it lower in a nonsensical world makes sense... Blargh. Additions to it's movepool: Waterfall Earthquake Drain Punch Payback Elemental punches?

Continuing to use Beartic, except this time a sub-set. Having tried it yet though.

Swapped Arcanine for Whimsicott. Problem is that I lack a special attacker... blargh.

Had some victories though. Pain Split Coffy does justice.

Did a presentation of apocalyptic fiction in writer's craft. I drew somewhat strange drawings in class, which were ideas I had. I sincerely believe that everyone's scepticism about my presumed emo-nature will be put to rest.

I considered Froslass, but I'm trying to be different from my brother, who uses all the ice types. T_T

This is when the "I like this and not that" thing really gets annoying. I'm trying Walrein with thick fat, but so far it's not doing that great. I may try Mamoswine, because even though it's OU I don't play "forced tiers" anyway, it's just the likelihood of playing OU is greater.

I'm playing around with what I can use, and Arcanine is good, but I'm not use to it yet.

I find haze is useful because often when there is a pokemon trying to baton pass him or set up on him, he can burn them and then remove their bonuses. Sort of. Coffy comes in great handy... I can't go without it. ;__;

I wouldn't mind if the frog became a water/fighting because I dislike Poliwrath. But we'll see.

Did tests, it may have been because of bulk up. Still, Beartic can take a couple of hits. Regardless, he's still generally my "least useful" team member, but hey, he may do justice some time.

My Cofagrigus is actually been switched to being defence oriented again. So Shadow Ball/Will-O-Wisp/Haze/Disable is his current set. I think I'll make Arcanine an offensive, because I have like... Three defensive Pokemon, and roughly only two attackers. I'm still fidgeting with this team, though. If that Frog becomes an offensive ice type, then I'm totally using it. However it's likely going to be another staple water, and it's unlikely going to be ice. But time will tell. I remember you telling me about that, so I'm not surprised you'd bring it up again. Even despite it's morbid imagery, I miss Pokemon... I have no DS... ;__;

It seems that you can predict teh futoi. TELL ME IF BEARTIC IS USEFULLZ!

I know I should be using it with either hail or rain, but I don't, so that does hamper it's performance. However it is rather bulky, which I emphasize. It may be my late game sweeper when certain hazards are gone. It actually survived a close combat from Heracross, and a flare blitz from infernape. I don't like how it cannot learn earthquake though, which is lame. However I just want to use an ice type that isn't Weavile/Froslass/Glaceon, because that's what my brother likes, and mamoswine is OU. But Beartic is alright. Now that you mention it, I haven't tried pain split yet, but I should. What should I remove... Disable or Haze? HMMMMM. Also, what can you recommend for Arcanine that isn't blatantly obvious?

Huh. I haven't played B/W2 so I am clueless.

I was playing PO, and came across a pretty friendly rookie guy. We had some battles while improving our teams. Also, I had a match were Coffy was my second last pokemon against three or four offensive pokemon, and Coffy won... <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure.png" alt=":/" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Nasty plot variant.

My team was: Beartic (I want an ice type)/Umbreon/Cofagrigus/Swampert/Yanmega/Hitmonlee. But that's prone to change.

If you're ever too busy, that's fine. Whenever you can. I have considered also adding more to Know your Pokemon, but with X/Y on the rise... I'm not sure if that's possible.

I am going by the debut release, but it does feel really soon. I was actually thinking about them making a new gen and next day I see there's a new Gen.

Yeah. I get tired of playing UU because I see Victini and Darmanitan on a constant basis, and I'm not a fan of water or fire types. I love using Sarcophagus and Umbreon as a duo for most of my teams. Tis fun.

My mark will plummet. It was the reason I was so moody for the longest while. It was because I had no inspiration, and I feel like my ideas could never be accomplished. I felt very constrained as well, although one card I pulled off worked really well for a script where I succeeded in all aspects (writing, metaphor, message, believability). Whenever I'm inspired it always falls apart too fast. I don't really like writer's craft but I may try it again. I did counsel with my teacher who acknowledges me as an intelligent writer and he says that marks don't always matter. I did learn about my personal self while in there though.

Yes, on the same boat regarding stories. I just think B/W's story can show more potential. I don't think that X/Y was announced much too soon, at least considering the announcement of the original B/W. If X/Y improve on B/W's flaws then I'm all for it.

In writers craft (which I am failing in lol) it seems that my ideas are starting to be revealed and I think... people see me as a sadist, or a cruel person... Which is funny because the stories I'm planning to write have like 10% violence...
