I'm quite excited that we are(likely) finally able to get a legal shiny Celebi, one of the few pokemon that can never be obtained as shiny(not counting those long stuck in Japanese Gen II saves). Though it wouldn't surprise me if they tried to force it to be non-shiny, but idk how much they'd actually care to put in the effort of patching in set IVs for the encounter. Which also makes me wonder if the GS Ball event trigger will be done by a patch, or an actual hard edit to the rom.

Another part of this that's exciting is that for the second time, like Deoxys in ORAS, another mythical pokemon will now be permanently obtainable at any time just by owning the game, without needing to wait for a distribution. I always hoped we'd get more scenarios like that. Sure some people may not like "rarity" being devalued, but I always go back thinking about myself as a kid frustrated that I couldn't get certain pokemon. Even if it's easier these days, lots of people still miss out simply by not being aware at the right time.

Yeah, I doubt they'd bother shiny locking this Celebi. I mean, there's a chance they could, but I get the feeling they're just gonna patch in the GS Ball event and call it a day.

It is easy enough to just create one now, as you eluded to about PKHex Core.  Just need to change the region flag. @SciresM, what is the region flag for Korea anyways?

EDIT: I would guess it is 0x08. And if we make a QR code with 0x0F as the region, it should work for all regions.

If making an all region QR code works, could that be done with Magearna as well?

Any information on where the key stone is? I've been searching for it ingame for a few days and haven't managed to find it. Dexio and Sina don't appear on Ancient Poni Path to give it to me, so I'm left confused. Any information on it?

Postgame only like original Sun and Moon.

Do we know if there are any conditions for encountering specific legendaries (e.g. time/day/counterpart in party)? Are there only a set few every day or are all the legendaries out there all at once?

Only that four legendaries need both their version exclusive counterparts in the party.

    For Suicune, Entei and Raikou.
    For Giratina, Dialga and Palkia.
    For Kyurem, Reshiram and Zekrom.
    For Landorus, Thundurus and Tornadus.

I guess if they let you take it home, considering others were allowed to do so, I guess that could've theoretically allowed someone to dump an untouched savefile. Though I'm not quite sure if dumping was as easily accessible in 2006 as it is now.

Save dumping was possible back then thanks to GBA Action Replay, so it's possible (yet unlikely) for an untouched save to be out there somewhere.

We actually don't have pictures of Boxes 6, 9, 13, and 14. From what the seller told me, there were a few traded pokemon in one of those boxes, but he didn't tell me how many. So it's not 100% untouched as a whole(such a cart may not even exist), but the Boxes we needed the remaining lost Mews from(1, 2, and 3) are untouched. However he said there's over 400 Mews on it(out of 420), so there's probably only a few traded pokemon.

In that case we won't get to see the original party. Oh well, at least we'll have the remaining Mews.

Don't forget the English only Aurora Ticket distribution was also used in Bergsala areas (Denmark and north), so it's not really "American".

Is the name on that one formatted "AURORA TICKET" with a month and year or "AURORATICKET" with no date specified? Because the former is the one used in America.

If there is anyone here with good dissassembly skills it would be cool if we could analyze the whole Mystery Gift System. The Aurora Ticket Rom could be useful to achieve this.
The reason why this Thread is still open is because I hope over the time someone shows up who would do this.
If we have a full dissassembly, another Tool or program could be made that communicates with the GBA Wireless Adapter and sends Mystery Gifts wirelessly.
How cool would this be to have for all the Mystery Gifts by the way? This way we could get Mystery Gifts into our physical games without having to hack the Game in the first place.
We would even be able to make public distributions using a Laptop or whatever...

Now THIS is something I'd love to see!

  9. So far I'm not banned. I only used Freeshop to get Trip World (since it never got put on North America eShop) and GB Tetris (since it got delisted thanks to Ubisoft). This was last year and all three have since been deleted. The rest of my game installs have been from carts I dumped myself. I tend to use FBI, JKSM and Luma Updater. Just to be safe, I did withdraw all of my Pokemon from Bank that I don't already have backups of and cashed in my Battle Points on Moon.

How could they sue over publacizing a illegally sold rom whose distro cart was stolen from the distribution site? Should always archive. Original will always be worth something. There's a reason why anyone can download Nintendo World champion chips for NES for free and the last original physical cartridge sold for 25 k

Besides, I'm sure such NDAs have expired. And if this NDA isn't from Nintendo, then it's invalid considering we're dealing with Nintendo's stolen property. Also, that's a good point involving the NWC carts.

3rd Gen Mystery Gifts have different Trash Bytes as well which is the data that was on the Rom located after the Script and was just copied and pasted with it. There is no way these Trash Bytes can be reconstructed, so we definitely would have to collect those missing Mystery Gifts.

Regarding the missing Mystic Ticket Wonder Cards... the case is clear with TCG World Championships 2005 but the Pokemon Rocks 2005 header remains unknown. Would be kinda nice to have it and if it's just at least for the Bulbapedia article...
Let's hope a miracle happens over the time.

We also don't know if the San Diego Comic Con Mystic Ticket had its own header. Though considering we collected one that doesn't specify a date or event, maybe it didn't.

  12. Really? I had one of the missing Mews all along? Holy crap, I'm GLAD I had the foresight to back it up UNTOUCHED (thank you, GBA Action Replay!). Plus it looks like Emerald's cloning glitch preserves trash bytes, which is good to know considering I ABUSED that glitch back in the day. And yes, I did get it from the event myself.

Yeah, it holds one of the usual berries!
I was using the Japanese distribution rom for which I don't have permission to share, sorry. However, iirc the multiboot binary matches sample0519.bin. There might be special things (i.e. handshake?) going on after the slave boots.

Just wondering, is the Negaiboshi Jirachi distribution limited to one per save like WISHMAKR/Channel or is it unlimited like Shiny Zigzagoon and the various 10th Anniversary events?
