  1. Does ANYONE have ANY idea what the problem could be? I've haven't tried in over 2 weeks; I'm not even sure the problem is still occuring, though I don't know why it wouldn't be. Still anxiously awaiting any help on this subject. ~Emeraldragon
  2. Are there any programs available which DO allow me to edit the rest of the features?
  3. I'll check that out. Thanks! What about pokedex editing, and ball seals, etc?
  4. Hi there, I have a quick question about save editing. Pokesav for HG/SS, as I'm sure we all know, is incomplete. It doesn't even support HG/SS locations in pokemon editing. I was wondering if there are any save editors for pokemon HG/SS which are complete. I want to be able to edit with Johto locations, as well as poke ball seals, etc. I've downloaded PPSE, but the version I have is even more incomplete, as pokemon editing is not supported at all. Thanks in advance for your time and your help. ~Emeraldragon
  5. Hi everyone, I have a problem that I need some help with. I am creating several pokemon via pokesav. The pokemon are completely fine, as far as I can see. I even use the PID generator to create the PIDs for my pokemon. The problem is that sometimes (not always) the trash byte normalizer will "stop working" and shut down when I drag a pkm over the icon. Sometimes it will normalize the trash bytes and check for legality, and sometimes it will simply shut down. Does anyone know why this might be? Did I make a mistake when transcribing the PID possibly? Why would the program shut down like that? Thanks in advance for your help, ~Emeraldragon EDIT: I've attached a pkm that causes problems with the Trash Byte Normalizer, but not with the legality checker, as an example for you to try. 007 Squirtle M NS.pkm
  6. I was actually just reading through the legality checker readme, believe it or not. It said that the legality checker was only meant to check things that weren't visible in-game. Anything that's visible in-game you can check yourself. Things like trash bytes are what the legal checker is for. Unless I'm missing something, which is entirely possible since I'm by no means an experienced hacker... ~Emeraldragon
  7. Yeah, I never have either. Glad it worked for you! Let me know if you need any more help! I'm not an expert on hacking, but I do know how to make .xml files! God bless, ~Emeraldragon
  8. Hmmm... Are you sure the code you gave me is the correct one? Is the game ID you gave me correct? Maybe you should open the .xml in notepad and check it over to make sure it looks right. I doubt I did anything wrong, but it's possible. I could try again, if you want. ~Emeraldragon
  9. You have to use quotes. "Pokemon HG Rotom Code.xml" If you enclose it in quotes, it will become a .xml file. I'll try to upload the file to sendspace for you. ~Emeraldragon EDIT: Try this: http://www.sendspace.com/file/cnr567
  10. Did you enclose it in quotes? ("") For example, save the file like this: "Pokemon HG Rotom Code.xml" It also might not work if the Game ID isn't correct. You gave me two IDs; I used the first one. If this still doesn't work, then I'll upload at sendspace for you. I've just never used that site before, because I've never needed to before. ~Emeraldragon
  11. "Forward" the port? I added the port# to the .ini file, if that's what you mean. I went ahead and bought the NDS USB backup tool. If I can get that to work, then I shouldn't need to use the backup tool (wifi). Let's keep our fingers crossed. ~Emeraldragon
  12. Ah, finally! A reply! That's unfortunate. I really don't want to have to buy more equipment. Oh well. Thanks for the info. ~Emeraldragon
  13. Bump. Any suggestions, at least? I'd like to get this working before HG/SS comes out. I want to be able to dump my HG/SS sav file and re-load the edited file. Am I even going about this the right way? Would this even work for the HG/SS games? I've heard that they're somehow different. Do I need a different method to dump and re-load the HG/SS sav files? ~Emeraldragon EDIT: I plan on editing my SS game, while playing through my HG game.
  14. Okay, I've got the .xml file, but I can't upload .xml files. Can I send you a .txt version? It is possible to turn it into an .xml file by saving it as: "(Name of file).xml" (quotes must be used). Pokemon HeartGold (Rotom).txt
  15. You're welcome! Now if only someone would reply to my help thread.... ~Emeraldragon EDIT: The tutorial I gave you should help you out. It links to another tutorial about how to make the acekard work (I think). If you can't figure out what files you need to make it work, let me know. I can send you AKAIO and anything else you might need. Best of luck, and God bless!
  16. http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?1584-Backup-Restore-Your-Retail-Pokmon-DPPt-Save-File! Try that link. It's a tutorial that should help you get started, anyway. Be sure to come back if you have any more problems! ~Emeraldragon
  17. Why is there a seperate AR code for diamond and pearl when you save the .xml file from pokesav? EDIT: Oh, and if all you need is that code written up into an .xml file, then I can do that for you. I just need the game ID (I could probably google it and find it).
  18. As far as I can tell from your description, it will only LOOK like the giratina room. Ergo, only the BACKGROUND (scenery) will change. It doesn't actually TAKE you to the giratina room, correct? Then again, I'm no expert, so we can wait until we hear from someone with more experience. Do you think you could explain this "coordinate cheat" to me? I'd like to try it to see if I have the same thing happens to me. ~Emeraldragon
  19. I've always heard that rotom couldn't be used on wifi. I think the only way to comptetively use rotom would be over shoddy. I would also assume that AR codes for D/P/Pt would NOT work with HG/SS, since the codes aren't interchangeable (Diamond codes don't work on Pearl). I'm still a hacking newb myself, though, so I guess we can wait and see if anyone else has some answers. ~Emeraldragon
  20. Hello all, I am having quite a bit of trouble with backing up my Diamond save file to the computer. I am using the NDS backup tool (wifi). As far as I can tell, it is version 0.31. I set up the ftp server, edited the .ini file with my ip address, server name, server password, and port#. My problem is that the ds simply won't connect to the computer. I disable the firewall. I make sure the ftp server is running. But it just gets stuck "Connecting for Access Point..." I have the Acekard 2i, in case that makes any difference. I just don't know what I'm doing wrong. If anyone could help me out or give me any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance, ~Emeraldragon
  21. The first shiny I ever caught was a doduo. I at first didn't even realize it was shiny. This was back before I had even heard of "shiny." lol
  22. I'm getting both! If I had to choose just one, though, I'd probably go with heart gold.
  23. It's me again. I haven't messed with my AK in... well about two months now. I thought I'd add that I only need the acekard for extracting and importing save files with my pokemon diamond/pearl/platinum games. I haven't entered into ROM hacking yet, though I will eventually. Thus I only need the files necessary for extracting the save file, and re-acquiring the edited file from the computer. I did it successfully once, but then things started falling apart. If someone could just link to ONLY the files I NEED, that would be immensely helpful. I'm new, and not familiar with all the terminology yet. Thanks for your patience with me! Emeraldragon
  24. Sorry to bump, but I still need help with my acekard. I'm sure my problem is a stupid one, but I would really appreciate help figuring it out. I've deleted and re-downloaded the files several times; I must be missing something. Could someone just make a post and attach the files that they use in their acekard? I want to be doubly sure that I have everything that I need. Sorry I'm such a newb at this. I'm still learning the ropes and figuring things out. I'll need help like this every now and then until I actually know what I'm doing... Thanks!
  25. I used SCV's program. I guess I need to pay more attention to the PID I choose. Thanks so much for your reply. All of you have really helped me out. I'm so close to finally being able to edit my game well. If I could just figure out why my acekard isn't working...
