I had brought up the same issue in the past, but AlphaDaemon said that it's an intended feature. Feeding clients Gummis won't raise their IQ for some reason, but Nectars will work. In a way, having clients be so vulnerable makes escort missions feel like how they were in Rescue Team.

This has less to do with this hack in particular and more to do with PMD2 in general, but is there any practical use for the House Avoider IQ skill? It's usually easy to tell when a room is a Monster House before stepping in it, and since it only affects non-leader Pokemon, one could simply change their Tactics option or use Manual control to avoid entering one. If there's no use for it, then might I suggest the IQ skill be reworked into something better? Like say, "damage dealt/taken is increased/decreased by 1% per enemy in the room" or "raises Speed by 1 stage when activating a MH". Basically a skill that would help in actually clearing MHs for Pokemon that lack good AoE moves.

I took a huge break from playing this hack, and I'm finding it hard to continue from where I left off (I have about 59 hours in my save file). I feel like starting over so I can gather my thoughts better and write an in-depth review of the hack. But now I hear there's a 3.1 patch in development, so do you think I should just wait until that update instead?

Continuing on with SE5, and I couldn't help but notice that the top screen is displaying the wrong map for the area I'm in (Frozen Island's map is only displayed after clearing Spacial Cliffs, but I'm in Dusk Forest now). Also, I know you weren't able to replicate the EXP Share bug me and @MarmotMan had, but I also included visual proof that Grovyle and Dusknoir's levels were massively bumped up
-
Are you sure about point 3? I had started SE5 as soon as it was unlocked, got to Dark Wasteland, then went back to the main story until the start of the Darkrai chapter. When I got back to SE5, Grovyle and Dusknoir gained around 20 levels upon entering the dungeon, and are now Lv. 84/Lv. 83, respectively

Back again with a roundup of smaller bugs: 1 - At Spinda's Cafe, I can select a Water-Guard (Squirtle-Exclusive item) as something to make a drink out of. Of course, since no drink outcomes are programmed for non-food items, the game hangs up after confirming my selection 2 - If Hidden Stairs are entered while in Manual Mode, the game takes me to the next floor of the dungeon, instead of a Secret Room/Bazaar of Wonders 3 - Pokemon in Special Episodes can gain EXP from the Main Story's EXP Share feature (not sure if it's intended)

Did some more testing on this issue, and it appears the crash triggers when I use Earth Power or Muddy Water on a Skarmory (my team is Grotle + Wartortle). It may take more than one hit of those moves for it to happen, but it only seems to be those two in particular that's causing problems. Other factors might be contributing as well (positioning or current turn number on a floor), though it's hard to say for sure
-
I've had the game crash on me somewhat consistently whenever I attack a Skarmory without KOing it. I first noticed to me when going through Chasm Cave, but now it's happening in Aegis Cave too. I think it might have to do with positioning, or maybe the Type of the move I use. Either way, it's making progressing through the latter dungeon even more frustrating than it already is (especially since I can't submit the required items to reach the Regi's chambers manually like in an unmodded game)

Somehow I managed to unlock Oblivion Forest twice... The first time was upon reaching 150 recycles at Wynaut's Shop (also unlocked Treacherous Waters/Southeastern Islands/Inferno Cave), and the second time was upon reaching Perfect Rank. Some extra documentation on any new or altered dungeon unlock methods would be appreciated. This also reminded me of how the game would notify me of a new dungeon being found from a Spinda drink on many occasions, but without actually unlocking anything

Doing an escort mission in lategame/postgame dungeons is pretty tough... Since the escort's level is decided by the mission's difficulty and not level scaling options, they are always far weaker than the dungeon's enemies (when taking the new difficulty curve into account). And why did the Item Master IQ skill need to be removed from the default skill set? Because of it, missions could be automatically lost if an enemy decides to use a damaging room-wide move, since the escort can no longer use Reviver Seeds The opposite applies to outlaw missions. Since the outlaw Pokemon's level is also decided by the mission's difficulty, they tend to be significantly weaker than the wild Pokemon in a dungeon. Although, me nuking them with 2-turn moves and No Charger could also play a factor into that

Seconding this. My team is Turtwig + Squirtle, at Lv. 70, and I'm wondering how to break through Primal- I mean Dark Dialga. I have some Exclusive items boosting both of their stats, and both are holding Lv. 4 Zinc Bands. Edit: I was finally able to beat it on my 3rd try. Here's my strategy: - have one or both party members with Protect - position one party member in front of Dialga, and the other behind the first one - with both under Protect status, the frontliner will deal damage with their best moves, while the rearguard supports with ranged moves/thrown items, healing, and maybe Violent Seeds too. - reapply Protect on the turn it wears off If done properly, you should be able to wear Dialga down eventually while minimizing the damage done to the party

Seriously? You mean to say that I unintentionally found a bug? Well, all I did was run straight down from Hidden Land's midpoint and talk to Lapras, and this was after Grovyle left the party. I tried it without wiping out at first, and Lapras would refuse to take me back, which seems to be your intended outcome. When I came back to Hidden Land from the Beach, Lapras will now let me go back to Town whenever, as if it were an unmodded game
-
Back to playing the main story again, and I find it strange how upon entering the Hidden Land/Temporal Tower for the first time, you can't return to Treasure Town unless you get wiped out in a dungeon. So, one could simply put all their money and items in storage, intentionally give up in the dungeon, then talk to Lapras to go to town. It just seems a little unnecesssary to attempt to railroad the player without committing to it fully.

I tried the boss fight again using your advice, and I was finally able to get through, though just barely. I also forgot to mention in the previous post that I chose not to teach Lopunny Vacuum-Wave, which probably would've helped a lot...

I can't seem to clear the Boulder Quarry boss fight on Expert, even with level scaling disabled. While Lopunny and Medicham have moves to hit for 4x effectiveness, it's not enough to break through the 7 Aggron, who now have much higher Defense, Bodyguard, and better movesets than in the original. There's a lack of Reviver Seeds in the dungeon too, so I can't just brute force my way through either. Lastly, I noticed that Medicham loses its Forewarn ability during gameplay, which is probably a bug. Is there some method to get through that I'm not understanding?
