Hi there! I’m here to report what seems to be a bug, and I’ve attached a video for reference. To explain the situation: my partner Zoroark isn’t using any moves during Monster Houses. I specifically set it to use only the wide-area move “Uproar,” but it just stands there getting hit and doesn’t attack at all. This isn’t the first time it’s happened — I’ve experienced this same issue over five times now, always in Monster Houses, so I figured it was time to report it. Hi again! I’ve got another question. If you choose a middle-stage evolution as your starter — like Ursaring or Primeape — would it be possible to evolve them into Ursaluna or Annihilape after the first ending, using the Ascend Stone Mark 1? Or do you still need the Ascend Stone Mark 2 for that? Thanks again for always taking the time to reply — I really appreciate it!

I think I might’ve figured out the reason! I had a save file from before I evolved my starter Teddiursa into Ursaring, so I did some testing using that. As you know, in the original game, starter Pokémon can only evolve after beating Darkrai and unlock access to Marine Resort. But in this version, it seems that using the Ascend Stone Mark 1 allows you to evolve them right after the first ending. So naturally, I thought I’d be able to evolve Ursaring into Ursaluna too — but apparently that’s not the case. Before evolving my starter Teddiursa, I recruited another Ursaring from a dungeon, and that one was able to evolve into Ursaluna just fine. But once I evolved my starter Teddiursa into Ursaring, both my Ursarings (the starter one and the recruited one) became unable to evolve into Ursaluna. So I guess the game is still restricting starter evolutions past a certain point, even with the Ascend Stone? It’s a bit disappointing, but maybe I just have to wait until after the second ending. Still, if there’s any other way to evolve it earlier, I’d really appreciate it if you could let me know. Thanks again for always replying!

Yeah, Teddiursa was my starter. After seeing the first ending, I went through a 30-floor dungeon with an Alolan Marowak (I can’t remember the name of the dungeon, but I think it was the one where only starter Pokémon appeared), and as a reward, I got something called an Ascend Stone Mark 1. I used it at Luminous Spring to evolve Teddiursa into Ursaring. My partner was Slowpoke, and I evolved it into Slowbro as well. Now I’m wondering — do I need a different item to evolve into Ursaluna? Or is this some kind of bug? I couldn’t evolve it no matter where I placed the items.

Hi there! I'm the Japanese person who previously posted about evolving Ursaring into Ursaluna. Thanks to your advice, I was able to find both the Coronet Rock and the Lunar Ribbon in Mystifying Forest—thank you so much! However, even though I’ve collected both items, I still can't evolve Ursaring. Luminous Spring still doesn't show Ursaring on the list of Pokémon that can evolve, and I also tried using the Coronet Rock on Ursaring inside a dungeon, but nothing happened. Is there possibly another requirement for the evolution?

Hi! I'm a Japanese player really enjoying this game. I'm writing this using a translator because I suddenly got really curious about something. It says to use a Coronet Rock and Lunar Ribbon to evolve Ursaring into Ursaluna. Do you happen to know where I can get those items? Sorry for the trouble. I actually wanted to figure it out on my own while playing, but I just can’t wait to evolve it, so I decided to ask!

Thank you for your answer! So is the soft stat cap you mentioned exist in all difficulties? And if I proceed with the story, the soft stat cap naturally disappears, right?

Hi, I'm a Japanese who's having fun playing this game. I'm using a translator. I have a question. In Expert mode, is all stat of the main character and partner Pokémon fixed at 120? No matter how much you level up or feed the Gumi at Spinda's Juice Bar, the stat comes back to 120. But sometimes when the stat goes up while feeding the Gumi in the dungeon, the stat is maintained. I wonder if this is intentional or if it's a bug.
