  1. Yeah. Download that mod I linked and look in the readme file, it lists the folders you will need to change. Simply find a way to import JP Rui data over to Grand Colosseum and everything should work fine. I would bring over the title screen as well just to check if it worked successfully. Here's a caveat: This works for everything BUT the cutscene where Rui is initially taken out of the sack at the beginning. You will see her in the GC jacket for a split second, but once the cutscene ends and you go back to the overworld, she should look fine(that includes her model when she sees a Shadow Pokemon). I could not find a way to change the cutscene at the start, but for everything else it should work fine.
  2. Is there any chance of merging your mod with this patch? https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/6141/ Basically a simple model swap to replace Rui with the Uncensored Japanese model. You already changed the textures on her model for the latest update, so I don't think this would be a big ask, especially if you offer it as an optional patch, like you did with the various region starter editions of the base mod.
  3. I would recommend you try out Trigger's PC. Once you import your save over, it works like a pokebank, letting your transfer not just your pokemon between saves of all 3th gen games(RSE, FRLG, CL and GoD, as well as PokeBox), but also your items, money/coins, tutor moves via move reminder if you have the items required(heart scales or mushrooms) and so much more, even letting you evolve pokemon you can only get by trading, like machamp or gengar As for even legendaries, the program will actually give you "rewards" for completing objectives or going far enough in the game, think of them like xbox achievements or playstation trophies. That includes tickets from all events and even the japanese only mew event(won't transfer to pokebank if you caught it outside of a japanese release tho). You even get some other event pokemon, if I recall correctly, like jiraichi and celebi. So in short, don't bother, just download TRPC and let it do the work for you. I can't imagine playing gen 3 games without it anymore, as long as you have a GBA backup tool plus R4 Flashcart, you can even transfer saves from carts and get the event pokemon like that, it's amazing
  4. The only way to get a legit Lugia in Emerald is to gen a mystic ticket into your game, that lets you fly to the island where you can get both Ho-Oh and Lugia. These are considered legal pokemon, and you can trade them all the way to gen 8. Unless you're playing a hacked ROM, that's the only way to get these legendaries in Emerald, altho there is a way to get Ho-Oh in Colosseum and Lugia in Gale of Darkness, if you want, and transfer them over as well, using Trigger's PC to trade the pokemon between saves like a fan made Poke Bank works wonders and I recommend it as well What you're probably referring to would be either Latias or Latios, roaming legendaries that can be caught theoretically anywhere once they're triggered, Latios looks similar to Lugia at first glance and can escape you if you fail to catch it
  5. I've read the guide linked below, and I have a question Managing 3DS Saves - Tutorials - Project Pokemon Forums I know there is a method of extracting saves in DS title carts via third party hardware, I was hoping there would be some way to do so on the 3DS as well. The guide says that you can use a Cybergadget save editor, but it only works on Japanese carts. If I have US carts and do not run a hacked console, am I SOUL? I only want to give myself the gems that were removed for battle tree purposes, but it seems even if you gen these items, you cannot trade them, that only leaves savefile editing as the only viable option. I would prefer not actually jailbreaking any of my consoles(as they are LE and I know there is a risk of bricking involved in the process) and I currently do not have any money to purchase a new console, let alone one that is actually on an older firmware, so I might as well give this thread a shot
  6. I was wondering, would it be a ridiculous idea to patch out the international censorship, while you're at it? It should be a simple case of model swapping between japanese and american version. Details: https://tcrf.net/Pokémon_Battle_Revolution#Regional_Differences Another thing: I remember that originally, some of the GBA trainers like Leaf were shown off in the initial gameplay reveals, models taken straight from CL/GoD. I wonder if it would be possible to import these models so they can be used by the player, even if they would be replacing other models, a workaround could be found later
  7. I found that Colosseum and GoD works well with Trigger's PC if I run the former in Dolphin, so I use that utility to trade between gen 3 games. I was wondering if there is any way to similarly technically trade between other gen 4 games for Battle Revolution, if I have a flashcart/ROM and can import save files using a similar program, I'm not aware of something like TPC for Gen 4 and onwards. I would rather not resort to PKHeX or other savefile editing shenanigans, but Battle Revolution is almost pointless without traded in pokemon, rather infamously
  8. I do have my TPC ready, so all I would need is a save file. I might try that later I am curious to know if you could do traditional trading between ROMhacks, like you said there might be some which are hardcored to prevent any kind of trading, but there are plenty more out there that bring minimal changes to the game aside from different pokemon encounters and what not, which wouldn't really touch that part of the code. I only have DS Lites, so someone with two GBAs, at least one flash cart(for the ROM Hack) and a set of transfer cables would have to see if it is possible to trade with the real hardware. I don't know if this in particular has been documented yet, it probably has been but I haven't checked, point is that if you can trade between a vanilla game and a ROM hack with real hardware, you can easily inject into the vanilla game via PkHex and trade any items both ways the traditional way, not as optimized as general savefile editing but it should do. I know there are proper GBA carts of some ROM hacks floating around on ebay, it might be cool to own one but I cannot guarantee it's authenticity, might be an alternative if you can't get your hands on a GBA flashcart anymore for some reason
  9. I do not want to make a separate thread just for this, so I will ask it here: Since PKHeX doesn't seem to work with ROM hacks, would Trigger's PC work, in this case? It's not a save editor, per say, but it works like Gen 3's Poke Bank, which could still be useful for trading pokemon in and out, you can technically just gen items/pokemon into a vanilla rom and then add it to PC, which you could then add to your desired ROM hack
  10. I am curious about this anomaly, as it doesn't seem to have been recorded or documented anywhere on the net: In gen 6, a cut but fully functional pokemon is still in the game files, it has never been distributed but if cheated in correctly, it behaves properly and even has it's own unique move to boot. Moreover, Gen 6 cut out the elemental gems from the game, despite them still being usable and even nerfed(that includes the new fairy gem). All of this remains unchanged in Gen 7. Here is what I want to know, since I do not have a modded 3DS, I am sure people here could find the answers quicker than I can: -The gems and E-Floette cannot be traded via online or quick link, but can they be used in competitive facilities(like Battle Maison or Battle Tree)? -If E-Floette is banned from said facilities, can normal pokemon with elemental gems still be brought in? -Does E-Floette has unique animations in Pokemon Refresh, or does it share them with the regular Floette? -Can the unique move "Light of Ruin" be traded online/Quick Link via Smeargle who sketched it, and if so, can this move then be bred onto other pokemon? Which pokemon? -Is there any way to utilize the wi-fi mystery gift function of the games and simply gen a custom pokemon/item event of our choosing via pokehex or other program, and create a "hotspot" on our computer to let any(read: nonhacked) 3DS consoles download it? Mystery Gift was basically created for this kind of exploitation, it is very simple to do just that via safe editing in Gen 4/5 I would appreciate answers to any of these questions, they've been bothering me. You would think that after almost 10 years since XY's release some of this would have been documented
