Pkhex bug?

I was trying to gen a max lair Yveltal which should be a shield exclusive but pkhex marks this as illegal. When I set the version to sword however it marks it as legal?

It can be shared, thus it can be in Sword. When in doubt generate one from Encounter Database and compare them.

But why would it say it's illegal in shield version?

I think Met location Changes? I can’t say for sure as I’m not looking at it right now.

Get Yveltal for Max Lair in Shield from the Encounter database, then compare them

I downloaded your pk8 and changed the game versions between Sword and Shield. Both are legal. Is your PKHeX up to date? Make sure you're not touching the Battle Version dropdown.
