HGSS's Red Gyarados

I just loaded up my red Gyarados in pokesav and it seems to not use any known PID Type.

Its PID/IVs are

PID: 3820976739

HP: 19

ATK: 5

DEF: 24

SDEF: 2

SATK: 13

SPD: 16

When I open PID/IV the pid it has is not shown in the entire list. Could it be using a new PID/IV type? Can it not have any at all? As in when the game sets the PId/iv it might do a check, if PID and Trainer ID's not equal shiny then regeneate pid.

I hope we can figure out whats going on here.

I just checked my Red Gyarados with the Legit Checker, and it came up with a Chain Shiny Algorithm. I'm not sure if its just my Red Gyarados, but I think your Red Gyarados would also have the same algorithm as mine.

for the 4th gen, the chain shiny algorithm is how Nintendo enforces shininess.

But Kazo said it didn't conform to anything in Legal... Which I don't find too surprising, they must be using a new method to make a guaranteed shiny.

Floot's red gyrados conforms to chain shiny... if the chain shiny algorithm has changed somewhat, we may need to reinvestigate this.

I put y gyarados in legal and it said it was a chained shiny.

I just didnt know about the chained thing. I just look at PID/IV and noticed its PID wasnt listed in the list at all.

Mine comes up as a Chained Shiny, Although my Shiny Suicune comes up as Normal GBA or NDS. Which is normal because it isn't set a s a shiny.
