Windows Defender Issue With Newest Update!

Category: Trojan

Description: This program is dangerous and executes commands from an attacker.

Recommended action: Remove this software immediately.

Excluding the files seems not to work either... I have to use the "Run Anyway" option when wanting to use the program  Just wanted to get this out and let the developers know that for some reason Windows Defender is marking their program as a Trojan virus.

You can add it to the list of exclusions.

PKHeX does a lot of file manipulation and has some use of encryption; virus detection isn't entirely straightforward thus you end up with false positives for niche non-commercial programs.

I'm familiar with false positives as I used to torrent games, I just wanted to bring it to everyone attention since this update is the only one that causes this issue. Also my exclusions do not work as shown from my pictures but I made my way around it.

I have the same issue. Is there a way to temporarily shut down the filter or allow this app to run?

as mentioned above, try adding it to your exclusions.

Im gonna try to do that. Ill look it up since I dont know how to do that.

 

 

I still cant find a way so I might just close the security scanner til the download is done

you can click in read info and open file there too

I tried but now it says: This app can't run on your PC. To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher.

Also, right click and properties, mind showing what it says?

Add it to your exclusions or something.

Google how to do that. Also don't keep bumping old threads with the same issue.
If no one replies here, then it's not likely anyone will reply elsewhere too.

Okay also i can open the app but when i do this happens i already added it to exclusions

Renaming a zip file to "exe" doesn't unzip the file.

This isn't hard.
