Adding Underdepth Scarlet Uncatchable.

 

Just realized how much treasures SV still has to offer for those who will care :

  • Uncatchable : All Pokemon you can't catch during first Area Zero exploration (Paradoxes mostly), Underdepth Iron Thorns (Violet). All can be obtained via RAM dumps.
  • Unreleased : lv1 Ghimmigoul; gift Yanma; gift Quagsire (ROM hacking).
  • Prototype : almost everything we just dumped team members of 2nd one. Many cut from Paldea are in first one apparently like Nidoqueen or Fearow).

Edit : for boss battles (Starmobiles, Titan Pokemon, Loyal Three ...) it seems the game does not fully generate the pokemon, more researches are needed.

 

May retire soon for a certain time, hope brave ones will emerge.

Happy New Year everyone.

With the holidays I finally get some time to extract all 13 uncatchable pokemon in PLA including the 5 noble, 2 ride Pokemon (Ursaluna and Braviary) and 6 random you can't catch through quests (Sudowoodo, Abomasnow, Froslass, Onix, Lucario and Ursaring).

 

Hope FlagsEditor Ex will be updated to extract those Paradox Pokemon in SV I don't have time to do all the game again just for them.

Will mainly focus upon Kitakami Milotic probably and the 2 underleved around (Houndoom and Graveler as long as you didn't finish the league).

Adding PLA/SV proto mons (test battle in PLA, gift debug pokemon in SV, some wild poke in SV proto). Protected under password, for now.

Missing : debug battle pokemon in PLA (Shinx, Bidoof, Bibarel, Starly, Luxray) if it's possible to dump; debug battle pokemon in SV if it's possible to dump and probably way more exclusive wild mons.

Will probably focus for now in the unused gifts of SV.

Find that Headbutt trees in Gold/Silver has unused encounters (in Cities); would love to get them; which tool can help ? https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Headbutt_tree

Also will need help for the unused gifts of SV, according to Matt it's "just" : deserialize the flatbuffer into a json, edit the pokedata criteria, reserialize into a bin.

Or maybe someone is talentfull enough to do some lua editing ?

With the SV gifts done, here what remains :

-Uncatchable : All paradoxes from first Area Zero Exploration (both Scarlet and Violet) and Underdepth Iron Thorns (Violet) -> RAM dump or mod?

-Unused : lv1 Gimmighoul encounter -> ROM hacking

 

And of course, one day maybe : RS and SwSh demos.

In case of, as it seems to be invisible somehow but I opened a new thread with my quests about the unused Fog encounters of Sword/Shield :

 

Any help is welcome. There are like 100 unused encounters to get, some exclusive to Sword some to Shield, probably a mod to create ...

What could be explored in the future with your help :

-RS 2002 demo (obvious reasons but still not found)

-Colosseum : if we find the debug version we could add back the cut shadow to the final version via the E-reader and @GameBeast92 skills

-ORAS demo : we still don t know how to trigger the special mission #1. If someone has a save with it and wants to share us we may figure it out. My theory is that they may be 2 demos like LGPE in fact. I say that because some people seems to have a special menu to do again the special missions and some not.

-SwSh demo : apparently datas related to it were found last year with the help of a builder we may rebuild it or at least trigger the 6 gift pokemon at the begginig. Especially now I heard rumours they may not be shiny locked.

Don"t ask how but I tried to do my best with what we got for SwSh demo starters.

For purists it's the only one we cannot run so no RAM dump possible this time; some infos are unconfirmed (memories and shiny-locked or not mostly).

 

Also we're doing huge discoveries of what could have been the beta version of Colosseum with for example Miror B. as a final boss with a Shadow Wobbuffet (probably around lv55/60).

Even if we still need that debug version we could think about hypothetic movesets for the cut shadow and it's very exciting.

Using the same technique I used for SwSh I may be able to get the 2002 RS demo gift pokemon (Sharpedo and Kecleon) but it won't be easy.

I also learned today there is a Pokemon Z beta build with 6 Pokemon in it including lv99 shiny Vileplume, a lv99 Dratini and many more.

I've seen also another build from ORAS has interesting stuff in it but can't remember where.

 

Edit : I got the 5 gift pokemon from Pokemon Z. If someone wants to invite me to test the Legends ZA demo in Germany soon I ll be honored ^^

I have theories on how we can get the 2002 RS demo gift Pokemon.

There are projects of patch to the final game (in english) or even hack ROM of recreation (less relevant).

 

If we reverse engineering that patch or try to make it compatible for japanese version (because the 2002 demo was in japanese) we may get more fidelity for results; then all we have to do is a RAM dump to get that Sharpedo and Kecleon.

That patch for what I know is based upon leftovers in final game of the demo.

 

Do you have any other idea ?

Maybe we just have to get back the scripts of the gift pokemon like I did for SwSH but do we have it ?

Well, the download for the patch from that site is expired.

Maybe it's possible to just point the exit of Petalburg Woods to direct to the demo route instead. I don't know how complete it is or if there's more to restore. From what I have seen at least the trainers are there but Sharpedo and Kecleon are in your own party and I haven't seen any code for them.

Ok, from what I have seen in the decompilation only the events (trainers, warps, signs) are still there. Anything else was deleted, even the map layout which was a bit different to the final one. You could use the final layout and move the events up by 6 to "restore" the route. There is no code related to Sharpedo or Kecleon left. I doubt that the Japanese RS has more code left.

Managed to generate a QR code for a debug Secret Base in one of the ORAS protos. After doing a debug start, which takes your 3DSs system name as the trainer name, there's an option that generates a base for you in the tree above the desert route. It's empty, but because I generated the code without modifying anything the opponent will fight using the first three debug mons from the debug start option. It's a level 99 Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip with their movepools consisting of mostly HM moves.

Maybe we can create a Secret Base where we can receive the unobtainable Regirock and Registeel dolls with this?
