A new distribution of Mew has been announced for Japan!

If you buy Pokemon Red, Green, Blue or Yellow Version for the 3DS Virtual Console between February 27 2016 and February 28 2017 you will also receive a serial code for a special Mew.

The serial codes are also included in the 2DS-Bundles that will have the VC titles pre-installed. Additionally to that those bundles include a download coupon that allows you to get a Mew traded to your VC titles in participating stores or Pokemon Centers.

From my understanding, you only need to download a Gen I game to get a Mew serial code for XY/ORAS; You don't have to buy the 2DS bundle.

You only need to buy the bundle if you want Mew in Gen I.

Hmm...can you use a north american credit card to buy the games for a JPN 3ds? Or would you have to go through another route?

Glitch Mew will transfer, if your OT and TID is same as above.

we also have the jpk1 file in the Gen VI and VII archive.
