Bot NewsBot Posted June 18, 2009 Bot Posted June 18, 2009 Games: Oha Suta Reveals More Details About HGSS In-Game Events Posted on Jun 18th, 2009 03:53 PM by Poryhack <img src="/images/pichuevent.jpg" width="150" height="161"style="float: right" />
Oha Suta, a Japanese TV show, has revealed more details on the HGSS in-game events triggered by the upcoming Pikachu-Colored Pichu and Cinema Arceus. You can watch the episode on YouTube courtesy of Filb.de here.

Although there have already been several stills of the interaction between Pikachu-Colored and Jagged-Ear Pichu, the video depicts the entire thing in action. Of note is the new battle interface and music as well as the fact that the Jagged-Ear Pichu joins your party. It is female and knows the moves Helping Hand, Volt Tackle, Swagger, and Pain Split.

The arceus event will be triggered when the cinema arceus is traded onto HG or SS and brought to the Ruins of Alph. From there, a new area is unlocked at an as-of-yet unknown location. Cynthia will be there when you arrive, and your arceus will apparently let you select from dialga, palkia, or giratina, creating the selected pokemon at level one and placing it in your party. Very interesting!
d4rk_13l1t2er Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Now we need to wait for the shiny pichu then ... Anyway the news should include about the Japanese Jirachi distribution no?
4evil Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 hmmm, which to pick dialga, palkia, or giratina? and its at level 1 .
d4rk_13l1t2er Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 hmmm, which to pick dialga, palkia, or giratina? and its at level 1 . lol i'm going to backup my save file before choosing, pick anyone, get the .pkm, load my backed up save, and keep doing this until i have all 3 of them, then i'll clone them twice each, 1 set for lv 1 collection, 1 set to be trained, and perhaps the last set for trading... I can't wait for this ...
FLOOTENKERP Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Woohoo! I hope we get this in the US! Why wouldn't we? These are in game events. The onl;y thing changed for us is the language. They just need to translate it. They don't make an entirely new game for us.
Aarux Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Pain Split on Pichu? That's kind of... bizarre... But nice. I guess not all Pokemon will be shrunk, since Arceus looked normal-sized. I'm going to get Giratina.
Orcamania5 Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Why wouldn't we? These are in game events. The onl;y thing changed for us is the language. They just need to translate it. They don't make an entirely new game for us. I wonder who will distribute the pichu event once it comes out in the US.
FLOOTENKERP Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 It will probably be wi-fi, just like in Japan. Event locations are usually the same for us.
Guested Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 It will probably be wi-fi, just like in Japan. Event locations are usually the same for us. Seriously, think before you post. The Pichu event is not wi-fi, and isn't even wireless!
PokemonEvents09 Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 ... Pain Split? o_OI wonder if it could evolve? i would not want the jagged-ear pichu to evolve it might loose its little jagged ear and nobody wants that do they
d4rk_13l1t2er Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Hmm maybe they made special sprite for Jagged-ear Pikachu and Jagged-ear Raichu lol? Anyway in-game event is still an event, better left untouched ...
FLOOTENKERP Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Seriously, think before you post. The Pichu event is not wi-fi, and isn't even wireless! Oh, sorry. I accidentally was talking about the Jirachi. Since most of the movie events there, are usually TRU events here, then it will most likely be a TRU event. Sorry about that.
sakura_lisel Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 I think the file for the Pikachu colored Pichu needs to be updated before anyone uses it. I just checked it out, and in the Met In box it says that we met it in Pokemon Movie 9, instead of 12.
d4rk_13l1t2er Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 As in ... 2009. Which means that ^this is right, Pokemon Movie 09 <- 2009 ..
sakura_lisel Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 As in ... 2009. Oh... I thought the numbers after the Pokemon Movie listing were for the number order that the movies came out in.
