wraith89 Posted June 5, 2009 Author Posted June 5, 2009 Too hard for the beginning stage, don't you think? And the AI tends to spam Hyper Beam, so... yeah. Suggest any refurbished moves in that other topic please.
FLOOTENKERP Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Okay Wraith. Maybe Lance could have another Gyarados and lose a Dragonite. How does that sound?
wraith89 Posted June 5, 2009 Author Posted June 5, 2009 No thanks. He's keeping his original roster from the original GSC. In RBY he had two Dragonairs and one Dragonite. What am I supposed to do to reconcile the kicking of one of his Dragonites anyways?
FLOOTENKERP Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 He has 3, doesn't he? Another Gyarados would be just fine.
wraith89 Posted June 5, 2009 Author Posted June 5, 2009 You like it nostalgic though >.> He had 3 Dragonites
FLOOTENKERP Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Eh, I do but this is just for saying what would be a better challenge. It's not like we are affecting what is going to be in the game. Don't you think another Gyarados would add just nicely to the team?
wraith89 Posted June 6, 2009 Author Posted June 6, 2009 I would, but it kinda destroys the whole lore. As much as three Dragonites seem like overkill, some people aren't really prepared for three Dragonites either. They're not as easy to KO as you think. I had a terribly hard time with them (at least when I hacked their levels to be bumped up).
FLOOTENKERP Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 I beat them really easily. Maybe if you could improve their movesets?
wraith89 Posted June 6, 2009 Author Posted June 6, 2009 Your experience doesn't mean everyone has the same experience. I picked Meganium... so it was pretty tough. And besides, the game's challenge isn't terribly hard, it's just reasonable. And trust me, Ice Beam and Ice Punch nowadays won't even OHKO Dragonite anymore =) What movesets do you prefer then, Floot?
FLOOTENKERP Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Hmm, well I was thinking maybe Dragon Dance, Roost, Outrage and Earthquake. Looks like a good moveset, don't you think?
wraith89 Posted June 6, 2009 Author Posted June 6, 2009 That is competitive though. In-game though Lance LOVES to spam Hyper Beam because it is his "signature move"... If it were competitive, I wouldn't do that though. Competitive and in-game are two different things
FLOOTENKERP Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 I agree, but who doesn't want a challenge? Maybe replace Earthquake with Hyper Beam.
wraith89 Posted June 6, 2009 Author Posted June 6, 2009 If I recall correctly, his two mini Dragonites use Ice and Thunder, respectively, with Thunder Wave. They also don't have Outrage. His best Dragonite had Fire Blast and Outrage... so I gave his last one a "real moveset".
FLOOTENKERP Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Hmm, I guess that does sound pretty hard to beat.
chycorita Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Or mabye Giovianni will be back with mewtwo. It will make sense.
wraith89 Posted June 6, 2009 Author Posted June 6, 2009 Or mabye Giovianni will be back with mewtwo. It will make sense. Giovanni never had Mewtwo. That's only in the anime.
chycorita Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Or mabye professor oak will battle you. That's what they tried to do in Gen I
wraith89 Posted June 6, 2009 Author Posted June 6, 2009 Oh yeah! With that cheat and he has that wicked Tauros! Hmmm... but still, I don't think they'll ever do that though
Fallen Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Giovanni never had Mewtwo. That's only in the anime. I doesn't matter who has or how Mewtwo is in the game. He should be in all of them.
chycorita Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 I wish( don't say bad things about my post ) all legendaries, and all regions and all pokemon was in a single game... sigh...
wraith89 Posted June 6, 2009 Author Posted June 6, 2009 I doesn't matter who has or how Mewtwo is in the game. He should be in all of them. But a gym leader with Mewtwo? Preposterous!
FLOOTENKERP Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Oak battles you in generation I? Hmm, never knew that. And the anime has nothing to do with the games, so Giovanni will not have Mewtwo.
wraith89 Posted June 6, 2009 Author Posted June 6, 2009 Oak battles you in generation I? Hmm, never knew that. And the anime has nothing to do with the games, so Giovanni will not have Mewtwo. There was a code that allowed you to do so. Unfortunately, it wasn't actually implemented... but really a remnant data that was left for your Gameshark to hack through His lineup was similar to Blue's... except he had the starter you DIDN'T take and Tauros.
FLOOTENKERP Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 That's amazing. Anyways, back on topic, maybe Giovanni could use a Rhyperior instead of his Rhydon.
Klaatu Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 That's amazing. Anyways, back on topic, maybe Giovanni could use a Rhyperior instead of his Rhydon. Definitely not prior obtaining the national dex =)
