Just yesterday, I found a store still with two Brand-New-In-Box PokeBall Plus just yesterday. I paid way too much money for this DLC! I highly do not recommend it. I was reviewing my save to day for Dens and noticed that my legit Mew is flagged by PKHeX as illegal.

The only way for this to be true is if my Mew is different from the one in the ProjP database which suggests the one in the ProjP database is the issue.

So, I compared my brand new legit one against the for download here and noticed yours is missing the meeting memory data:

I redeemed my Mew while in the Wild Area. As a result, it was met in a "vast field". Meanwhile the one for download here on this site and presumably in the PKHeX database has NO meeting memory when generated. Clearly the one here is incomplete. Was it just a clone of the Let's Go version?

Cause it is clearly not legit.

We have the wonder from SWSH server, not a clone from Let’s Go, however it’s as you say I think when PKHeX converts it, it doesn’t assign the memories

So...is this legit? Or what should we do to make it legit?  
Aside from the memories details, is there anything that could possibly make it not legit?

Just wondering does the OT change to the player OT same goes with with the ID & SID or does it have like mystery gift trainer info when go to SWSH?

All Trainer details follows the initial recipient of the gift.

If a legality check is ever added to Home, these ones will be deleted immediately (assuming that's how it's handled.) However, let's face it - that will never happen.

For those who actually care (as posted above):
Starting with Gen 8's non-Delivery Man approach to Mystery Gift mons, the server copy is downloaded (the file here on this page) but before the mon is added to your game - your save is read for OT details and the memories are written into the mon (I am unsure if there are other changes.) This is why I am pointing out that a LEGIT Mew in the current PKHeX doesn't/didn't show a Check but instead a Fail for legal check (which makes sense because PKHeX also uses this download as the template for legal.)

For those who actually care: (a posted above) PKHeX uses this incomplete (applicable to all of the Mystery Gifts on this site, unfortunately) mon as the template for the legal check flag used in the program. This means that even though it shows a check for this download - we know that a truly legit Mew gets an X in PKHeX.

Don't think that's accurate. The Meowth gift which I received in-game (not injected from wonder card via PKHeX) is not flagged illegal on PKHeX.

@Kaphotics can you respond to this? AliceTheAlice reported previously about the Mew having memories.
For the record, my Meowth has memories as well. Apparently whoever I traded it too, has memories has well.

Also to be clear, the Meowth from when I received it (right as I received it, before I used it in battle, and it's the same Meowth) has a set of memories, but they're rather different.

Note: The Meowth did go straight to my party tho. Don't know if it'll have no memories if went straight to PC.

Given the memories for the same Meowth is different across different points of the playthrough, and the fact that the wonder cards for both Meowth and Mew doesn't have memory data, I guess memories are gained and change throughout play-through?

Given that my Meowth does have memories after right after it was received, maybe set some dummy memories, if no memory is asked of by the wonder card? (not that it truly matters, since it probably gains memories through play-through)

edit: so I have a Mew with memories, and it's not flagged illegal.

@AliceTheAlice check if your Mew is illegal on the latest update, and if so, tell us why it's illegal.
I don't think memories (or the lack thereof) is the issue here.

The mystery gift for LGPE was checking for a ribbon, when it never gets applied or transferred.

I'm slightly confused, this is an issue for Gen 8 Poke Ball Mew, but I'm glad to see the issue for LGPE was resolved.
