  1. I've started this thread because nobody did it. I dont know how to put the files back, so when we're done I'll ask Kaarosu if he wants to make a patch of it -Progress- Done: 0000.txt 0001.txt 0002.txt I guess that this is the right directory, PM me if I made a mistake, this is the first time I'm doing this stuff http://github.com/bjfh/Pokemon-Black-White-Dutch-Translation-Files Try to not use the word ROM too much, and the subject ROM everyone who knows Dutch and English/Japanese is welcome. Translate the English stuff in the 0000 directory, then place your commits in the 0001 directory, so we can make a double sectored game I guess that it will be better if we just translate the stuff that is already translated too English, because most of us don't have enough Japanese knowledge. (Including myself) You may talk in Dutch, but only in this thread.
  2. Hi everyone. I'm new on this forum, and I want contribute for a french translation patch. 'cause we are a lot of people playing B & W here, and the frenchies who can understand japanese are few
  3. Here is where the Progress will be shown on a German translation. For now it will be a place holder.

CONSIGLI GENERALI \xf000Ă\x0001\x0000\xfffe. Cos'è. Come tradurlo. Come tradurlo dall'inglese.

  6. randomspot555 edit: I've gotten a lot of reports that concern people who haven't read the rules. Do not ASK about downloading ROMS, do not SAY you downloaded a ROM, do not give advice on how to locate ROMs. Welcome! Now that I have your attention yes, we (Kazo and I) are now working on a translation patch for Pokemon Black and White! At the moment we are putting priority on anything that involves the battling part of the game (Pokemon Battles) and we will release it once we feel satisfied with it. This was more of a informative post than anything but look forward to it! For now I leave you with some screenshots. Feel free to leave any suggestions and comments, later! Contributing to this Project For this project we have decided to set up a git repository to make contributions easier. The link to the repository is here: http://github.com/projectpokemon/Pokemon-Black-White-Translation-Files. The procedure is the following. If you want to contribute, fork the project on github, translate the text in a file, then commit your changes, all commits will be revised and the ones deemed adequate will be pulled into the master branch of the project and used in the patch. To install git on windows you can follow the instructions here: http://kylecordes.com/2008/git-windows-go orhttps://git.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/MSysGit:InstallMSysGit a recommended git gui tool is git-cola but feel free to use it through command line or any other gui tool. Help for github can be found at http://help.github.com/ or you may ask in our our #projectpokemon irc channel. Translating to languages other than English: If you are interested in translating to another language please fork the original project and name yours something like Pokemon Black White [Language] Translation we will clone those and generate patches, when you tell us that there is enough progress for a patch to be generated. Update: Translation Text List Stats: The following files have been finished or at least edited so far: 0-15,18,21,25,30,35,44,53,54,60,61,64,70,80,90,179,181,182,199,204,271,272 <== I've lost track of these for now but i'll get back to checking what's done asap Feel free to submit other translations as well, especially looking for the following: 12-13[PC Box Stuff], 16-18[battle Status effects(?)] Leave a reply with what you want to do or have done or just send a PM! Those are the ones I can think of right away that'll help us get close to a v1 release thanks for all the contributions and suggestions! Who is working on what Right Now: This is a list to show who is working on what in order to avoid two people working on the same thing. If you want to reserve any of them let me know and I'll update this asap. njt/karire/mattmagician/kaarosu: 16 ~around 35% done (To see the progress of this file feel free to look it up in the git... http://github.com/projectpokemon/Pokemon-Black-White-Translation-Files/blob/master/0000/0016.txt ) as you can see this one is fun! kazo: 17 Credits: Translation contributions in no particular order: Kazo Kaarosu njt Fishyfish mattmagician Guested Alikhan Glitch Curisu Rhea Atoxic jintrigger Rykin122 Windslayer deishido Danniello Nigoli Karire SailorSpork xxcoldh3artxx shubshub ryanz1 ReignOfComputer lomejor18 SuzieJoeBob jjangu Spenstar Shadow_Steve Chase-san ...and growing I'll update this as we go let me know if I missed you Non-Translation contributions: Codr: insight as to the structure of the characters Eevee: first decrypting text Kazo: idea for encryption SCV: program for inserting text to the narc files Poryhack: menu graphics Kosheh: status icon graphics Kaphotics: save catalogue Beta Patch: Alright I've pulled everything we have in the git so far and compiled a patch out of it. Anyways It's nowhere near being done obviously, but it's getting to the point where we can't verify all the changes we've made for accuracy so I'm putting this out in hopes that *IF* you do use it you can provide us with some feedback as to what needs to be fixed, I ask that you look at the attack descriptions for the most part I know that needs to get the linebreaks fixed. Try not to flood the thread with it though. Troubleshooting! Game IDs for you cheaters I've had people message me about what the Game IDs are to use with their cheats for those of you that don't know how to find out these are the Game IDs for the Beta v2 games Black: IRBJ-44483E75 White: IRAJ-B8FA503D Save Issues Desmume To use your old saves with this translations in this emulator try the following: [*]Make sure the .save file name is the same as the .nds [*]If it's still in Japanese, in-game go to Options and change 'Button Mode(5th option down)' DSTT Error - 4: From what I've read up in the forum (specifically ddc1's post) the problem involves the 'True Game ID' being different which is why your game won't load. Do the following to fix it: Download the following package Here Use ttd.exe to open up the following files in your flashcard 'extinfo.dat' and 'infolib.dat' (Always make a backup in case something goes wrong for whatever reason) Search for the Clean B/W Game IDs (Black: IRBJ-5F0EA646 / White: IRAJ-0203EC40 ) <== Make a note of these cause you'll need to come back to these Move your game to the same folder and run eNDryptS Advanced(Run as administrator if you have issues) when the menu comes up press '1' it should do some work and say ' Decrypted --> Encrypted (X)' and at the Bottom it should say something along the lines of sucessfully patched. Press any button to take you back to the main menu and hit '1' again this time it should say the reverse 'Encrypted --> Decrypted' Go back to ttd.exe and replace the Game IDs you found earlier with these Replace them with the following ( Black: IRBJ-7902E2EE / White: IRAJ-6F795E87 ) <== These will change with every patch but i'll keep these updated every patch right now these are for Beta v2 Save and move game back to your flashcard and play! P.S. If my direction don't make sense try the original post and his package: ddc1's guide Patch Instructions: Obtain a clean ROM (Dump it yourself or find it elsewhere don't ask us for it) Obtain a copy of xDelta GUI(You should have this by now) Open xDelta Gui Click "Select Patch" and choose 'Black.patch' or 'white.patch' depending on what you downloaded Now choose 'Select ROM' and navigate to the clean ROM Now click on "Apply Patch" wait until it's done Try it out and give some feedback? Update: Updated the patches to fix the evolution problem, only upped the new .patch files this time around since you SHOULD have xDelta Gui by now. P.S. Before you ask, yes this has the Exp Patch applied to it as well and where is the link?... it's in the attachment. If that doesn't work for you try the mirror at http://kazowar.pbworks.com/ Reported Issues from Feedback: Attack/Items names still in romaji => need to be in english Male rival referred to as she in intro Attack Descriptions line breaks (what moves go offscreen is what i meant by this) Possible freezing at bridge? and Union room Empty Bag Text going offscreen as well Move effects mistranslations ex. love/flinching give wrong messages (I hate 16.txt with a passion) Cheren needs to become Chelon...since he's a dude and all P.S. Please use http://kazowar.pbworks.com/Submit-Errors and http://kazowar.pbworks.com/Submit-Typos to better keep track of these thanks! As a general advice/warning? to everyone please try to keep the talk of ROMs down, especially the part of how to obtain them and what not.
  7. hey guys I'm Suaqua also known as Taro and heres my attempt at a modification of Soul Silver modeled loosely after Crystal Version requires: a clean Heart Gold(U) or Soul Silver(U) rom Features: higher level wild pokemon new pokemon scattered throughout the game no more weak wild pokemon in kanto some level up move edits no need to trade for evolutions rt. 34 now has wild baby pokemon running around increased trainer difficulty pichu can learn some special moves... rival now have different starter pokemon from different generations as well as brand new teams created to match them some pokemon now have secondary types (shinx, starly, magby, elekid) among others special thanks to alpha and SCV for creating PPRE which was used for a majority of this hack if you would like certain pokemon inserted into the game in any way (rock smash, grass, hoenn/sinnoh sound, surf, fishing) just post it here or pm me thanks for the help -Suaqua p.s. this is much harder than the original game especially the gym leaders and rival battles edit 1: new beta is up this one has 300 trainer and all gym leaders and elite 4 completed edit 2:beta 4 is now up with all encounters finished and 550+ trainers edited edit 3: ok I fixed all of the problems and the fully edited v1 is now up enjoy! edit 4: ok so there is a glitch with level up moves on edited pokemon (known on magmortar and electivire) so if you see them learn a move they cant learn, is a tm or is of a different type ignore it PPC with Xdelta HG.zip PPC SS.zip
  8. Have you ever wanted to re-battle boss fights from the evil organizations? Have you ever wanted to re-battle a Gym Leader without having to worry about calling them or meeting them on the right day, or whether or not they are in the Battleground Café? Have you ever wanted to battle a member of the Elite Four or a Champion without having to fight through the others first? Have you ever wanted to battle Gym Leaders from Hoenn in the 4th Generation battle mechanics? Have you ever wanted to battle these trainers on a balanced level 100 playing field? If you answered “Yes” to any of these questions, then take a look at Pokemon Showdown! Showdown is a twist on the old Gym Leader Castle mode from the Pokemon Stadium games which features 104 trainers from 4 different regions in 99 different battles. The goal: An HGSS ROM hack of the Battle Frontier, where key trainers hang around outside, waiting to be rebattled whenever you walk up to them. Most trainers will feature their rebattle teams from the Platinum Battleground or HGSS Dojo, but all will be at level 100. You use Pokesav/Pokegen/whatever to add your own level 100 team to challenge all of the trainers in any order at any time. There are no prizes for winning, it is just for the sake of battling. Description/Mini-guide Included Trainers: The majority of these trainers have been taken straight from their trainer data from their rematches on either Platinum (from the Battlegound) or HGSS (from the Dojo). Several teams were created from scratch with specific themes in mind, and most of the Generation III trainers' teams were based off of their respective rematch teams, but updated to fit better with Generation IV (physical/special split, weak moves replaced, etc). --February 15 Update-- -Version 1 Release- The first "final" version of Showdown is now ready. All trainers are in, all battle sprites work, and we've added an intro and title screen logo thanks to Poryhack. The released patch is for HG only, but I'll have one ready for SS when I get it working. Instructions: - Download and apply patch to a US ROM of HeartGold - Begin game, proceed to the point in-game where you receive a Pokemon from your mother. - Save and quit. - Edit your save file using Pokegen (or other software) to give yourself a team (you have no badges, so make sure your pokemon have your own OT/ID/SID so that they will obey you). - Trying to exit to the south will cause you to meet an NPC that will give you the Running Shoes and the Bicycle. - Speaking to almost any trainer will start a battle. - Your Pokemon are healed automatically after every battle, but consumable items (berries, Power Herb, White Herb, Focus Sash) are not replaced, so be sure to bring extras. Tips for a more enjoyable/challenging experience: - Set the Battle style to SET (not Shift). None of this "Trainer is about to send out a (x)"... makes it too easy. - Do NOT use items such as potions or revives. The Trainers in-game have none. - Using an advantageous type against a Gym Leader (ie, Electric vs. Misty) may prove to be far too easy against their mostly mono-type teams, so try to avoid using such types. - Try to see how many of the trainers you can beat using the same six Pokemon. - Bond697 has suggested setting your own Pokemon levels lower (90 or so) for a more interesting challenge. You will gain experience after each battle, but as there is no progress in this mod there is no need so save, so you can just reset the game to return to your original level. Things I'd like to include in a future update: - Automatic restoration of consumable hold items - Copying over battle music from Platinum - Reassigning/scripting Battle music for different battles/trainer classes (don't know how to do this yet) - Platinum trainers' "VS" battle introductions (don't know how to do this yet) - Changing the area music in the Battle Tower and Dojo (don't know how to do this yet) - Adding in in-battle text for Trainers from Plat who had such text (don't know how to do this yet) (any help with research on the above would be greatly appreciated) Special Thanks: Alpha for getting this project started, doing the primary scripting, and teaching me everything I know about ROM hacking. Poryhack for the header icon, intro screen, logo, and other image/design support. Codr for helping me get the last, custom battle sprites inserted. wraith89 and randomspot555 for suggestions on team design. SCV for help and support with pokeDSpic and PPRE. CuleX for putting up with me talking about this so much. Bond697 for some beta testing and awesome positive feedback. Archive/Original Post patchlink..txt
  9. Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver Upgraded Trainers Summary In this hack I will update the levels of the trainers in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. The levels are just too low, and this hack will hopefully improve the game a lot. Editing levels of wild pokemon has been schemed too, although finishing the trainers' levels is first priority. Polls Using polls, I will ask you some things about the hack. I ask you to give your opinions on subjects. 10. Version 6 details. Thanks to Rykin and Poryhack, some graphics have been edited. It now comes with Katakana names for the guys who care about legit Pokemon. The Pokemart's sells men should now be mostly in english. There have been many fixes to some of the item names and descriptions. The Fly screen has been translated. No$GBA users, if you have version 2.6 for No$GBA, set option NDS-Cartridge Backup Media to FLASH 512KBytes. Make sure you save options and restart the emulator afterwards.
