A Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Demo exists, where it allowed players to bring their Nintendo DS to Kiosks, to temporarily download the game via Download Play, and have a trail run. Players randomly start as either the male or female playable characters and Diamond Version or Pearl Version. It is normally not possible to save in the demo, but if one manages to hack force their way to a place that forces saving, it'll cause an error. Piracy isn't neccesary. There is only one version of the Demo. Japanese and Western Demo is the same, it doen't depend on the Demo installed to recieve Steelix or Glacie. It seems it depends on the 3DS Device and not about being differnet demo versions. I already had the demo installed on my 3DS from european NIntendo store and after doing all process of CTRTransfer the Demo remains installed but now is only in Japanese. I have played the first adventure and received Steelix instead of Glacie.

I believe it depends on the 3DS region, not the demo installed on the 3DS, becaure there is only one version of the Demo. So, to recieve this Steelix it will be neccesary to change the 3DS region to Japan and play the demo and the full game on that 3DS until receiving Steelix (or using a japanese 3DS). In one of my 3DSs with the Demo already installed I created an Emunand and change the region to Japan and now the Demo in that Emunand it is the japanese version of the demo without language selector. I have not tested because I did this to obtain japanese exclusive Vivillon (I created a Japanese region emunand in one 3DS and american region in another to be obtain all Vivillon forms)

Oh, I understand. I didn't realize the CTRTransfer could be considered that. About the Demo itself I suppose it could be obtained from external sources but I never contemplated that option given that it is legally available for free on Nintendo store so it cost no money to legally obtain the Demo on all my devices, at least until the store is closed in a few months.

Disclaimers: Do not set the top screen menu to "Map and Team", this will break the game! This is a demo and does not contain the whole game yet. Gates to Infinity Demake is a project that aims to recreate Gates To Infinity in the form of an Explorers of Sky rom-hack. Made In celebration of GTI's 10th anniversary, this hack aims to recreate the original game as closely as possible with minor improvement along the way. With improvements such as more starters, faster text speed, improved graphics (very subjective), and reworked dungeons. This project is a work in progress and is constantly changing. Frequently Asked Questions: Is this hack complete? Not yet. While I plan to cover the entire game, It is currently just a demo for now. When will this hack be complete? Not for a while. It takes a lot of work to make rom-hacks, and considering how ambitious this hack is and that I'm only one person, it may take up to two years or more to complete. However, I will be updating the hack with more story and gameplay so be sure to check every so often. I also have a twitter where I'll tweet when major updates come out. How do I play this hack? You'll have to patch a clean US rom of Explorers of Sky in order to play this. You can use xdelta to patch the rom which come preinstalled with the download. After that, you can play it on any nds emulator or on an actual DS. Will this hack feature base-building Yes Some of the Pokemon are different species from the original game. Why? All gen 5 sprites for EoS are fan-made and many sprites don't exist yet for certain Pokemon. These are currently placeholders with whatever species is the most similar. I don't mean to spoof region + country temporarily. I mean to change the 3DS region by installing another region firmware using a CTRTransfer of a Japanse 3DS Firmware so the 3DS it became a Japanese 3DS with only Japanese language and geographical data available in settings. So, I changed the 3DS to Japanese, selected in settings a prefecture with an exclusive Vivillon form (Tokyo if I am correct) and started a new savefile on that 3DS. The same with the Demo. Given my 3DS is now a Japanse 3DS the Demo only allows to play in Japanese and probably will unlock this Steelix.

This steelix is only available on the Japanese (region) version of the Demo. Setting any other region’s language to Japanese (language) will not yield you a Steelix.
