Legality of Poké Portal events
SkyLink98 replied to Rillaboomburst's topic in Events Help and Questions
Correct. Also correct. Both random height and copy height (equal to scale) are perfectly legal, for both old and new raid events. Note that the random height still has to be relateed to the seed. Editing the Height with random values without changing all the other Pokémon values accordingly would result in an illegal Pokémon. -
Afaik there's no public tool available to calculate valid spreads for Colo starters, unless recent Pokéfinder updates included it. You can eventually look into PKHeX source code to understand how it works, though. Here you have various methods to generate valid starters: https://github.com/kwsch/PKHeX/blob/ba4d054089519162ddd719e8c762774171c58308/PKHeX.Core/Legality/RNG/CXD/MethodCXD.cs#L100

See here for various methods to dump NDS save files: https://projectpokemon.org/home/tutorials/save-editing/managing-nds-saves/ Alternatively, if you have a NDS fat/lite, with an open wifi network you can use ftp dumping with this tool: https://github.com/AdmiralCurtiss/nds-savegame-manager/releases You can take coords from another save file, you can start a new one and take them from there, or download an user contributed save file.

Legality of Poké Portal events
SkyLink98 replied to Rillaboomburst's topic in Events Help and Questions
Most (possibly all, I should double check) of Mighty Encounters (Unrivaled raid events) have Scale set to 128, both old and current ones. Height and Weight have always been random for raids, except that HOME 3.0.0 introduced the copy height (Scale → Height): https://github.com/kwsch/PKHeX/pull/3899/commits/c1c36965a662402ea65d5c0aeb9d027e9759474c Tera Finder also had to be updated to handle this HOME copy height quirk https://github.com/Manu098vm/Tera-Finder/commit/17286cbbc9df98709857229de3715af5f5d107c0 As examples, we can look at the latest Mighty raid, Tyranitar: And at the first Mighty raid, Charizard: -
Legality of Poké Portal events

No SV game patch changed the Height/Weight behavior, it was a HOME patch. Connecting to Pokémon HOME (even without actually opening the SV save file) copies the Scale value into the Height field for any Pokémon in the SV save files on the console. The reason the user thinks new events have variable height is probably just because they haven’t connected to HOME after obtaining the Pokémon -
There's no general answer. Depends on how the cheat code works, and if the developer accounted for the RNG correlations/mechanics. SV wilds/eggs have no RNG correlations anyways. SV encounters are all separate crypto rng calls, except for raids.

Event description This is an event raid held by Scarlet and Violet. Notably, with this event you get a chance to encounter Tera raids featuring a level 100 (Shiny Locked) Tyranitar, with the Ghost Tera Type, and a level 75 Blissey with various rare item rewards. This event ran from April 4 to 6, 2025. How to encounter this raid in-game For this raid to be findable by players, they must first have unlocked 6-Stars Raids through story progression. This requires completing the entire game story and the post game until the academy tournament. Players must then complete 10 4-stars or 5-stars raids. Only after all these steps have been performed, the player will receive a call from Jacq, which he will proceed to tell you about dangerous black crystal raids. What can be done with these files The files to be imported into your save file are placed in the Files directory. We also provide human-readable data in Json format, and an Identifier.txt file containing the event index. Use our tutorial to import these files into your save. After importing you might need to advance one day in the Date/Time from your console System Settings, to reroll the dens. To see other Poké Portal Events, here. -
If you have more copies of the Arceus in BDSP, all of the copies except one will get flagged. Make a save file backup before transferring it in other games, and restore the backup after transferring it out.

Pokemon Soul Silver save not able to be opened by PKHEX
SkyLink98 replied to NathansMom's topic in Saves - Editing Help
Ensure you're running the latest Luma 3DS, use the 3DSX with the Homebrew Launcher or install the CIA in the Home Menu. If you can't either dump the save with checkpoint or install TWLSaveTool, i'm afraid you're out of luck. Chances are your 3DS setup have something wrong, might be a good idea to setup it properly. -

File names are important. The LGPE saves must be named "savedata.bin", not "SaveData.bin". Rename and it'll work, I just loaded it up on my console. -

This gift was released to players in Mainland China, as a celebration gift to commemorate the Pokémon Day 2025. This gift could be redeemed with the serial code W1THY0U29YEARS. This distribution provides Mainland China players with a chance to obtain a Melmetal, as Pokémon GO is not officially available in the region, and access to the GO Park Complex is restricted. It follows the 2024 Meltan distribution, allowing players to acquire a Melmetal, given that Meltan cannot be evolved in Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu and Let's Go, Eevee. Please do note that this gift could only be redeemed on Tencent/Mainland China’s variant of the Nintendo Switch consoles, with a Mainland Chinese LGPE game. Given that the Mainland China release of LGPE language selection is forced to simplified Chinese, this gift can only be redeemed as CHS (would be illegal in any other language). Currently, the only possible way for this gift to enter the international stream of games, is for it to first be locally traded from Mainland China’s LGPE to International LGPE. Hey could I get some help fixing this?
SkyLink98 replied to 7-Eleven Crackhead's topic in Pokémon Legality
If you care about the Pokémon being fully legal, then yes. You can spoof the transfer process with PKHeX, but it cannot assign a valid HOME transfer tracker, meaning HOME can recognize the Pokémon as illegal. HOME will know that you didn’t transfer the Pokémon from Pokémon Bank. HOME will know that you didn’t obtain the ribbons in the correct games.
