Those tools are such tall orders. You will either have to wait until such tools capable of doing so come out or you will just have to work with what you have right now (such as Hex Editors and whatnot). SCV did come out with a Project Pokemon Rom Editor (it's in this forums somewhere) which can do many things already. Mapping though, is a lot more complex. "ThirdDimensionGBA A Gameboy Advance Map editor replacing the simple 2D map tiles with new age 3D tiles." Too bad the SYSTEM itself (GBA) can only support 16-32 bit color. From what I gather, more people hack Gen III ROMs (Game Boy Advance) since there are actually tools to do stuff with it. I'd start with either Ruby/Sapphire or Fire Red/Leaf Green if you are beginning to hack or something. Most people make amazing hacks out of Fire Red from what I see. Do you actually have any idea of what your actual HACK will be about? You may really want to post your storyline and whatnot in your original post (use the EDIT button) or else people will look in and say "ooh imaginary tools no hack idea k thx bai".

In every game prior to HGSS, all trainer Pokemon had Ability 1, meaning no Bronzong you encounter from trainers would have Heatproof (Ability 2) but would always have Levitate, nor would you find a Natural Cure Starmie (all Starmies from trainers would have the useless-in-battle Illuminate). In HGSS though, some trainers use Ability 2 on their Pokemon (most noticably Bugsy's Scyther/Scizor which has Technician). And for some Pokemon who gained a new ability in DPP from RSE (like Machop with No Guard which was absent in RSEFRLG), the new ability would be Ability 2. If you have DPP use that to your advantage if you want to by using Skill Swap or Trace or something to find out a dual ability Pokemon's class 1 ability, then you can derive the second ability as well.

Like... to get Outrage on Larvitar... you have to breed Dragonite with Charizard (I think?) then breed that Charmander with Outrage to Tyranitar to get a baby Larvitar with Outrage. Same deal with Dragon Dance... except now I think it's simpler just to go with Kingdra as father. I don't know... and I forgot. And there's an Outrage tutor now so no one cares for breeding moves like that.</p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p>I can wall most "standard" Heatrans with froggy anyways (90 HP/100 SpDef goes a long way). If it decides to stall Froggy then I try Perish Song. Wait, I quit battling. Forget it. I'll just run Froggy with Splash. I will actually take some time to breed Splash from Gyarados to Seadra then breed Splash Seadra male with a female Poli... and get my froggy with Splash! (yes it takes all that trouble to get Splash on it... I may be wrong about the process but I know it takes a long time because I did it once).</p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p>Depends on the Heatran though. If yours is just the 0 SpDef Naive nature (-SpDef) then it's sure to get OHKO-2HKOd. Heatran has 106 SpDef... which isn't bad at all.</p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p>If you were a non competitive player, no one would even think about blowing up Heatran. It's probably stuff like Golem or Electrode for non-competitive people. I run Earth Power, Stone Edge, Flash Cannon, Flamethrower on my in-game Heatran... never Explosion <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/wub.png" alt=":x" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/wub@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="29" /></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p>Or perhaps because Selfdestruct/Explosion was introduced in Gen I, and the minimum limit to PP was 5 since it was in increments of 5 as opposed to future Generations (Sketch is the only move with 1 PP)... technicalities I suppose.</p></p></p></p></p>
