The Key to Voltorb Flip

Nah it takes way too long to get a lot of coins. You don't lose coins but making a mistake earns you nothing. I'm already "okay" with this game and I can still earn like a couple of coins but the earning is too slow. That's for sure Or... the prizes that were once 4000 are now some insane number like 10000 (I'm looking at you, TM 13/24/35) making it all the harder to get such coveted TMs. Oh joy But I don't see where slots were completely skill based. That thing was a monster... much more monstrous than this Voltorb Flip. Heck I even skipped the whole slot games and just bought the coins from the dealer (where did he go)? At least Voltorb Flip does involve strategic planning; the slots were also based on your reaction timing, which some people (like me) are not too great with. I guess someone with more analytical skills than reflexes would prefer the Voltorb Flip, but the monetary earning is relatively slow. Oh I do remember when I got something near 7/7/7, some Golems started pounding down and changed my last slot into some totally irrelevant thing. That was trollish... so there is a bit of luck in that. In short, each game has their ups and downs. I still like the Voltorb Flip better, but I don't like how they raised the prices and got rid of the coin dealer, making it infinitely harder to even get a single TM13 or something of that kind. However, I'm up for these kind of analytical games, but there are times I have to risk something and can get the entire thing wrong, get sent to level 1, and rage.

Good grief. We're headed off topic, but... BW is just me abbreviating Black/White. Doesn't mean Brood War/Blunt Weapon/Black Weegee/etc As for STAB that's what you do with a knife; Same Type Attack Boost. Pokemon using a move that is their own type get a 1.5x boost (example: Swift coming off of Clefable will be 90 base power, not 60, due to STAB, while Swift coming from Primeape has 60 base power due to no STAB. Primeape's Cross Chop will be 150 base power due to STAB not 100). Get it?

It's 210 with STAB (140 without, 70 after the first impact, which is 105 with STAB). Selfdestruct in BW is 300 with STAB, 200 without, so it depends on who is using it.

Eh each to his own. Too much competitive battling has influenced me in a way to think that way too, but I got over it and decided to use what I like, such as Pidgeot and Meganium and such, in spite of others outclassing them. My qualms about them though about why they were designed horridly still remain (ex: Unfezant with the wrong stats to use its SPECIAL movepool). I do agree about the line between usable and useless (like Vullaby), as that still exists. BW was terribly designed for in-game to be frank; not enough usable Pokemon and things in late game start evolving at insane levels of 50 +. All right back to topic. As I've said, mine is Snivy.

My Servine lost like 50 + HP from that Retaliate... yikes She had a total of 7X and went down to 2X HP from one Retaliate. That was scary. Then comes Hypnosis, Confuse Ray, Crunch... all to make your life miserable. Retaliate has a base power of 210 (factoring STAB) from that crazy Watchog. Though I didn't really think of Lenora as a gym leader. She along with the other trainers before her all used the same Pokemon family; Lillipup, Patrat, Purrloin, and the elemental monkeys plaguing the beginning of the game. Slow game this is.
