I tried the earlier version & it didn't work so I kept an eye on this thread. The new file works like a charm! It even worked with this hack called Pokémon Vega wherein it lets me modify my party whereas A-Save would just corrupt the save file for checksum issues; what's more it lets me keep the 2nd ability of a Pokémon which would normally be locked to 1st had A-Save worked in the first place. Thanks for this editor!

I have had bad experiences with cheat codes as they had repeatedly messed up my Battle Frontier records. So yesterday I tried opening my English Emerald save file in my Japanese rom, found out that it worked fine, saved the game, dropped the save into the Japanese Tickets tool to get the Old Sea Map & activate the Mew event, opened the game back, got the ticket from the man in the communication center, saved the game, copied the save file back into the English Emerald folder, opened the game & the event was indeed activated. I did this with the Deoxys & Ho-Oh/Lugia events; both worked flawlessly. No abnormalities with my gameplay so far.

First of all, thank you Kazo for this incredible tool! It works like a charm, but it has so far corrupted the save file on two occasions: first on Emerald, & lately on Ruby. 1) On Emerald: it didn't completely screw up my save file per se (also I keep as many backups as possible), but somehow when I lately try to edit an item's count, A-Save doesn't let me (I just see it stuck at 999 for every item but I can't interact with it); if I save then I, in effect, get 999 of every item. 2) On Ruby: I no longer can edit my save file; I mean I can but when I boot up the game on VBA it tells me the save file is corrupt & that "the previous one will be loaded" & it reverts back to the latest working state. I think I've noticed a pattern here though: A-Save works pretty well for me until I get the Copper card. It's something to do with the Battle Frontier/Battle Tower data I presume?
