  1. wow it's been a long time So I'm trying to attempt a few things here since I'm seeing mixed results all over the internet for a number of things. I've dabbled in a tiny amount of code editing and datamining files but absolute bare minimum Firstly, there's an IQ Skill in explorers of sky called 'map surveyor' that essentially acts like a luminous orb does in that it allows the dungeon layout to be visible. Only difference to a luminous orb is that the luminous orb makes the floor 'brighter', in darker caves or whatnot, there's a shadow around the floor, this is removed when a luminous orb is used. I'm trying to find the effect that both enable (since I'm mainly looking to make such a code alongside the already existing one to locate enemies, items and stairs) but through my 4 ram dumps (map surveyor on and off with no lum orb, then map surveyor off without a lum orb and one with it still off but lum orb used up) i'm not finding anything useful. Secondly, I want to try and port the 'easy recruitment' code from explorers of sky to time/darkness specifically (both us and eu), especially since it for some reason enables recruitment in non-recruitable areas. Specifically its length is what gets me and has me a little stumped. The 'if button' and what seems like the address seem easy enough, but the rest has me stumped on what it does. specifically this code 94000130 FFEB0000 9230DD8E 000003A0 1230DD92 000008BD 02051294 E7900001 D2000000 00000000 94000130 FFDB0000 9230DD8E 000003A0 1230DD92 0000E8BD D0000000 00000000 02000090 000004AD E2000080 00000010 E59FC008 E780C001 E7900001 EA014481 52000090 000004AD 02051294 EAFEBB79 D2000000 00000000 In yellow is what i believe to be either how you enable the code along with maybe an address (select left enables recruitment from any pokemon while select right turns it off), and in green is what I believe is a bit of the code but the rest I'm mostly stumped on and given my relative inexperience with ever looking at the ram for this and given my results above with the luminous orb/floor ordeal I'm a little wary of trying to find the address since I'm pretty sure it'll be very different in time and darkness compared to sky.
  2. wow i was so conceited back then good lord

  3. Thank you, I guess I could recomplete it again and regain Jirachi. Thanks. What actually went wrong though? Why was it breaking up when I inserted a few Pokemon?
  4. I tried to back it up before I edited but then I backed it up too many times and then lost the hope. I have that state from April like I said which is hardly different from the state I have now and I could easily recomplete it to where I'm up to. Editing in the stuff seemed to break it though so I'm wondering if SkyEditor is breaking something important I of course knew to back it up, and used a copy for editing but I've lost the backup now since I used it afterwards too without saving properly. I'm lucky I have the april save at all. I also got lucky before since I tested the save to add in a Kecleon from an earlier version which also doesn't seem to work (the version, Kecleon exists) which is odd.
  5. I only have a state from April where I'm in Wish Cave but the stored Pokemon are exactly the same. Except for the lack of Jirachi. The edits consisted of 4 Pokemon added to two of the friend areas. I edited in a Chinchou, Lanturn, Exeggcute and Exeggutor. These four do not exist in this save. Once you're done with seeing, I do want my later save fixed though. check.sav
  6. after editing in sky editor. I named it 06689 for that reason, the 9 was to connect with my rom name Yeah when I open Pokemon files in SkyEditor for PMDBlue it displays some error or something. Could something else be causing the corruption? It's only after I edit in the 4 Pokemon I want.
  7. I've checked it several times in desmume, using different methods of editing, I'm not sure what's wrong I can tell when it's not corrupted if I can skip past the screen with the Pelipper, but each time it fails. I did see that, but that's a bit odd. I also looked up Bountiful Sea and for some reason in your editor it only allows 3 Pokemon where in the game it allows 9 Pokemon and I think I filled it up
  8. I used it, edited some things, saved and I've tested on my flash card and it's still bringing up the same results, nothing I don't get it, why does it say it's corrupted? Especially after I modified nothing (there's no cheats on) it was working perfectly I don't understand why it keeps saying it's corrupted... I even had an earlier state (from april I believe...) where I was in wish cave because jirachi and I edited that (in that alpha build) and even that came out as corrupted. Not only that, but your editor seems to like mixing up Pokemon eg I have a carvanha called "Carvan", in the brackets is referred to as a roselia http://prntscr.com/8p454k Shallow Beach, I have a wingull named "Sky" and it is called a shiftry http://prntscr.com/8p45ge Mt. Deepgreen, I have a teddiursa called "Teddiursam" but is referred to as a heracross http://prntscr.com/8p45t0 There's several more but it'd be too difficult to name them all. I picked the RBSaveEU when loading the game (otherwise I've seen it load it as if it were an american game with level 104 Unowns), but it still bugs out.
  9. So, is there something wrong with it? there's no response... if you're busy I can understand but I'm anxious.
  10. a 'legit' mew can be done, I use a pkm template for mew and edit what I want, I've done that for several pokemon for myself. though I've done it on black not heartgold, I don't think it'd be too different
  11. Tried using the earlier version and now my flash card and desmume isn't reading the save I want to add 4 Pokemon to the save, what am I doing wrong? I was using 3.2 so I could add it but even that dun work Using 3.3 is buggy as all heck and your new one doesn't seem to work as easily I don't understand... Edit: Ok, I can put my 3.2 save in your newer one but again it seems to have issues like mentioned above Included is a download link (or 'attachment') to this modified save. I'm a real impatient person and since I'm basically responding while you're asleep and vice versa, and I don't know saves, I figured help could be wanted. I'm sorry if this an inconvenience, it is for me too I say my flash card because normally I play on there and it normally reads saves flawlessly. However it's saying it's corrupted. I don't know what's wrong in the case. 06689 - Pokémon Mystery Dungeon - Blue Rescue Team (E)(M5).sav
  12. Well it works but I can't modify anything, all I see is a blank screen.
  13. sorry for such a late thing but I seem to have more issues I can open and use SkyEditor but I can't save a file, specifically my Blue Rescue Team save, no matter if modified or not it crashes the program It didn't show any error except for Microsoft's junk "Files that help describe the problem: C: \Users\Owner\AppData\Local\Temp\WER8E2F.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml C: \Users\Owner\AppData\Local\Temp\WERA133.tmp.appcompat.txt C: \Users\Owner\AppData\Local\Temp\WERA163.tmp.mdmp" I might have forgotten a few things since it's been a while but I wanted ti use skyeditor and it hated me today. Ahaaaaa...
  14. Yes. Oh god this is a massive dump. http://prntscr.com/77n16l Here you go, do something about that.
  15. I didn't think it was so hard, see. I thought it might have been something a little simple. Nice work though. Thank you, I'm sure many people will be grateful, like myself
  16. "Show details" in the microsoft junk that shows up = "Files that help describe the problem: C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\Temp\WER3A16.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\Temp\WER53BE.tmp.appcompat.txt C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\Temp\WER541D.tmp.mdmp Read our privacy statement online: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=104288&clcid=0x0409 If the online privacy statement is not available, please read our privacy statement offline: C:\Windows\system32\en-US\erofflps.txt" (have no idea what some of this means) Can't even access the program itself.
  17. I'm just curious, I'm asking a question. Tone isn't easily conveyed through the internet.
  18. Hello? Is this thread dead? I really don't wanna just put this to rest for eternity... Why has the recruitment code been so hard to create? I'm just curious what factors go into making that be so hard. You hit an enemy, game determines percentage and rate and you either get it or not. How come it's that difficult?
  19. Nope it just loads it, and then goes "SkyEditor has stopped working, wanna send info to microsoft" and crashes.
  20. guess it dun matter. Ok then. I had a thought; what if we could alter the Sky code to work for Blue? Usually the trigger to turn 100% on is L+Select and then the off button is R+Select. If they're so similar then maybe the code could be easier? Not really sure but it could be possible. As for figuring out luminous orbs, idk...
  21. So, this would be possible eventually?
  22. aand once again even after my precautions, it crashes. Again. Sheesh this is an incredibly unstable program for me. I did the unblock-from-internet deal yes.
  23. Erm, encountered problems. Ok I tried testing the EU one and I tried editing the floors on the Met at Anoriths... they still didn't appear not only that... the game is in french. Um, are we gonna get knowledge this way? Maybe if I searched bulba but only after I'd have searched how to get the anorith in. I'm guessing it might be the same since I don't see a difference in sky editor. My eu save is english entirely, what happened to yours
  24. With the only changes being you don't have the risk of losing them (since if they faint they're out forever)? I'd just think it'd be different somewhat. Well just gotta find how item usage works so we can have luminous orb effects 24/7. It seems simpler, guess testing items could work. I mean, having a luminous orb + items and enemies would probably work to the code like from Sky better than just stairs. It has to do with the chances somewhat probs. I mean, again, that Sky code alters it to 100% each one. Heck, I believe that code went so far as to allow me to recruit Pokemon from Temporal Tower in the main story I believe, which I'm not sure of (I played Sky to test differences, my original was Time and it had no allowance for Temporal Tower recruits as usual) because I left it on as a joke to see if they'd come and they actually legit did. So if your idea works, if I'm getting this correctly, hack the friend bow or an item to 100% max rate, then have the leader hold it and bust whatever Pokemon in sight and have them recruited? (if available in-dungeon lol) Dang, it's been so long since these games and their recruitment rates still bother us to this day lol
