  1. For someone who has never taken their hacked Switch online, is there any safe way to update the necessary game data to use this feature?
  2. Wow, that's a really interesting setup they went with. Thanks a bunch for the help! Edit: Perhaps that could be accounted for in the "Randomize IVs" button's functionality?
  3. I transferred a Meltan that I'm trying to edit to make a Melmetal, but I keep getting "Invalid: IVs do not match encounter requirements." If I change all of the IVs to 31, I don't get the error anymore. If I change even one of them, the error comes back. The "Randomize IVs" button apparently does not produce a valid IV set, either. I don't want a perfect Melmetal, though. I just want to "evolve" my Meltan without having to grind 400 candy on the mobile game. Is the "IVs do not match" error a false positive, or is there some trick to it?
  4. My Shinx and Solosis eggs are throwing the following legality message: "Invalid: No ball check satisfied, assuming illegal." I've been breeding them up from Beast Ball-caught Island Scan Pokémon that I traded from the GTS. Since they're Island Scan species, it should be possible to have them in any currently available ball. Only these two Island Scan species are giving me this legality check failure, but every Shinx and Solosis egg gives me the failure message. Attached are two of the eggs. Edit: Removed.
  5. With arm9loaderhax cfw, you can do a straight dump of your save file (any 3DS game). You can then open that save in PKHeX on your computer, make any changes/additions, and save it. And then you can import the edited save back into your game again on your cfw 3DS. Easy peasey. Just be sure to take your time and follow the instructions carefully.
  6. The reason things like PokeSav and PKHeX can exist is that folks have put a lot of time and effort into researching and understanding the underlying functions, storage, math, etc. that govern the game. There's nothing wrong with wanting to have a knowledge discussion about what goes on under the hood. Shrugging and saying, "Whelp, whatever. It works." and not caring why may be perfectly fine for some, but don't fault those who want to go further. That said, maybe the R&D subforum would be a better place for such a discussion?
  7. I'm seeing "Invalid Relearn Move" flags and "Invalid: Unknown encounter" for critters caught through Island Scan (the QR code scanner feature). Attached is the Spheal I caught yesterday. Edit: removed.
  8. Ah, I didn't know the tourney was limited to OR/AS. I'll try using my Sapphire, then. Thanks again.
  9. Interesting. I was getting the "Pokémon in your party can't be traded" message. I guess I'll try again later. Maybe the trade system was updated since I first attempted to trade? And no, it wasn't via GTS. Just a regular Wi-Fi friend trade. Thanks for the feedback.
  10. I tried injecting that one, and I was able to collect it from the delivery girl, but the trade system blocks it. Edit: I attempted to trade the JP one to my friend, and that one failed, too. I'm starting to wonder if they just can't be traded or something...
  11. I don't doubt this at all, but can you tell me how you found out? Is there a way to tell whether or not a Wondercard is "shiny-locked" like in PkHeX or something?
  12. I was going to offer some Mew codes from GameStop, but I see it's already squared away. Thanks a whole bunch to everyone who's contributing and keeping things up-to-date.
