So we can breed them easily to make legal HA Alolan starters with the IV's we want and everything. Right?

Yes, they can be even female. Just reset if you want one.

Edit: Now the real question when will we get HA Tapus and HA Passimian/Oranguru? I guess next year for Tapus in Bank

Oh and everybody forgot HA Heatran.

They could have used flags for regular missions while they used full data for downloadable missions.

By the way, looking at entry 36 in the games text (a/0/0/2) you will find a list of all 45 regular missions with their descriptions.

    But there is also this:
At least Women at Pokémon Centers, Pokémon-Quiz Championship!, Rare Pieces!, Find Rare Berries! and Find Pokémon! were available as event missions!

Find Rare Berries! - Rare Berries have been discovered!\nLook for shining places in forests\nand caves, and collect Berries!
Rare Pieces! - Get rare items that are said to\nhave been made in ancient times.\nLook for shining places in caves\nand on roads!
Berry Festival! - Rare Berries have been discovered!\nLook for shining places in forests\nand caves, and collect Berries!
Women at Pokémon Centers - Speak to Pokémon Center women\nin towns and on roads.\nThey might give you a\nwonderful present!
Pokédex Quiz! - Speak to Scientists in towns and\non roads, and answer Pokémon quizzes!\nYour knowledge as a Trainer\nwill be tested!
Shopping Impossible! - Again, men wearing black!\nBuy, buy, buy very rare items!\nBut watch out for the prices!
Endless Battles! - Try endless training with Veterans!\nDefeat <NUMBER> or more Veterans\nwithin the time limit!
The Pokémon Center Quiz Champion! - Speak to Scientists in towns and\non roads, and answer Pokémon quizzes!\nYour knowledge as a Trainer\nwill be tested!
The Quiz-Champion Finals - Speak to Scientists in towns and\non roads, and answer Pokémon quizzes!\nYour knowledge as a Trainer\nwill be tested!
Pokémon-Quiz Championship! - Speak to Scientists in towns and\non roads, and answer Pokémon quizzes!\nYour knowledge as a Trainer\nwill be tested!
Gifts from Pokémon Center Women - Speak to Pokémon Center women\nin towns and on roads.\nThey might give you a\nwonderful present!
Find <POKEMON> - Find <POKEMON> in rustling grass!\nWhere are they?\nShould you use the power of\nPass Power?
Find <POKEMON> - Find <POKEMON> in rustling grass!\nThey may be on Route 5?
Find Pokémon! - It has been reported that\nuncommon Pokémon were found!\nVisit Hidden Grottoes in different\nareas, and find Pokémon!
Find Hoenn Pokémon! - Pokémon from the Hoenn region\nseem to have been found in\nHidden Grottoes! Visit Hidden Grottoes\nin different areas, and find Pokémon!
Battle Pokémon! - Go to Hidden Grottoes in various\nareas, and find Pokémon!\nRaise them, and they will shine\nin Pokémon battles.

This doesn't have to mean anything though! I doubt we can force load them.

Great, as I thought the text is in the ROM and the datas are just downloaded.

But you discovered a new, totally unknown event "Find Hoenn Pokemon" which was never discribed anywhere, amazing!

"Battle Pokemon" could indicate 31-IV Pokemon which is a very cool and unfortuantely unused event too!

The 2 other "Find Pokemon" are unused and totally exclusive.

For the one on Route 5 I remember an urban legend about Larvesta at the time, could it be the key of that mystery?

Well I wasn't talking about modified ROMs. What I meant was that those distribution devices technically might have worked like a game card when it is hosting a regular mission, which would mean that there might be no major difference between regular missions and event missions.

Though that is just my guess. I don't even know how sending the regular mission data works, if there's just a flag send over to tell the game which mission to play or if there's full mission data transfered.

I agree with you there is no major difference between regular missions and event missions. I mean they share the same name sometime.

I bet on the second option: full mission data transfered according to the time delay for another device to detect the mission but I pray for a flag, it'll be much simpler ^^

I can confirm they had actual distribution carts for this.

I discovered that Purugly mission can be played in Black2 which means we can at least trying to reproduce the event if we can understand how do the datas are sent.

But the problem now is to  ram dump before and after.

@BlackShark suggested me melonDS which works very well except for the ram dump (HxD crashes).

  5. So I test @BlackShark ideas and my conclusions are: they used modified ROMs probably.

But maybe they are still in the game unused event which can give you the event missions (still a possibility).

Edit2: I caught my first Glameow in Black2 I'm so happy you can't imagine ^^

Edit3: I saw weird things when I translated a Black2 sav into a White2 game with FunFest Mission (can be the thing we're looking for?)

Edit4: Of course they are not recognized by PkHex :D

  6. Found a bunch of new quests if people are boring:

-Force load the 21st E-reader card in Colosseum (here)

-Get all the Glitch Swarm Pokemon in Emerald (I gave Metarkrai method in an earlier post)

-Study the mysteries of shiny Pokemon in Ranger (here)

-Extract the Beta Tyranitar picture from Mobile Trainer

For myself I'll try again to get the FunFiesta Event Missions or at least to recreate them as they should have been.

    Hope you'll help us

  7. I have found new informations about but they are bad unfortunately.

During FunFiesta event missions special Pass Powers were distributed using Poke Power Spot which confirms that they were all wireless distrib. Source

The good point however is that if we find how wireless gifts work for Pass Powers we can re-create FunFiesta mission probably.

    I also found that:

They're not glitches, I think there was one or two in-game trades that can be lower than they are in the file so far, and maybe some that are underlevelled in multiple routes in Gen 2.

In that case it'll better to keep them in their generation and find a way to extract your save by any method of 3ds hacking.

Really interested to know the in-game trades I missed ^^

  9. 1 hour ago, CryHaddock said:

Oh wow that's obscure.  I never thought something would outdo the two from Pelago.

I think I have a couple of Pokemon at a lower level than are in the file.
However they're on a retail cart and I don't have direct access to any device that connects to that.
Would anyone potentially be interested in trading with me in a Gen 7 game and uploading those files?

I'd have to go back and check what exactly they were.  I think I noticed it on a couple of Virtual Console Pokemon.

You mean the three from Pelago? You probably forgot the Flaffy from USUM.

If you have any new underleved of course I'm interested, but first check all the spreadsheet to see if we didn't mention them somewhere.

I spent a couple of hours checking Serebii/Bulbapedia/etc ... to do the list.

Note that they must come from a legal version, not obtained by glitching (especially OldManGlitch in gen1 or Pomeg Glitch in gen3).

  10. 5 minutes ago, CryHaddock said:

On the spreadsheet I notice Shelgon is listed as level 10 in a 'Hidden Grotto Event' in gen 5.
I can't seem to find any more info on this site or anywhere else really.  Can anyone shed more light on it?  Is there possibly a file for it on this site already?

We don't have it; it's the rarest underleved ever made actually.

Few informations exist about this event : https://www.serebii.net/black2white2/funfestmission.shtml

I also have the original source somewhere, will search

Any Arceus that is level 100 will pass.

ive gotten a Jubilife Arceus (encountered using an early version of tweaking + retire), And it passed at Lv.100

Mine still don't, I have done many tests (Fateful encounter check, Pokeball, EVs, PID, Origin Game and Nickname) all failed.

Don't know the criteras of Poketransporter or if there is something missing in PkHex during Gen4 to Gen5 process.

  12. I received a PM yesterday from Metarkrai about Glitch Swarm.

I paste it here if you're interested:

" Thus, if you want to get a proper swarm, you must tell the game that :
    - there is a swarm going on + the route of the swarm + the % of the swarm + the swarming Pokémon (+ no glitch moves for conveniency), all this in the part of memory that stores swarm data.
    or that :
    - there is a TV news for a swarm + the route of the swarm + the % of the swarm + the swarming Pokémon (+ no glitch moves for conveniency), all this in the part of memory that stored TV news data.

There are four methods to change the values in both these areas :
    1) Use Pomeg Glitch Data Corruption and corrupt some of the values in the area (used to unlock Southern Island)
    2) Use a Glitch Pokémon's name to overwrite the data in the area (used for Instant Pomeg Glitch)
    3) Use the HP and status from a Pokémon in a specific party slot to change some data in the area (used to unlock Faraway and Birth Island)
    4) Use Arbitrary Code Execution to change the values in one of those areas

    - 1) won't work due to the pattern of the data corruption that happens (you can't corrupt every value at every adress in every way)
    - 2) Won't work either because species name long enough to overwrite TV news values or swarm values will also overwrite a lot of values, making your save unplayable.
And you also need a species name with a pattern that will give you a valid Pokémon at a valid location with a non-zero percentage.
In Emerald US, I found that it was possible to obtain a NidoranM swarm this way, but I don't think that you would be able to transfer the caught Nidoran to another Gen 3 game or to Gen 4 (and saving after the corruption would mean that you're bound to make a new save file due to the heavy corruption that happened in your save file)

    - 3) could be used to get some new swarms by corrupting the species of the swarmed Pokémon of a current swarm (getting Wailord, Shiftry, and some more).
However, the swarming data is not reachable, so this needs to be done with TV news data.
However, TV news data has a component that I don't understand (there are multiple TV news stored, and I don't understand how they are ordered), so I have no way to be sure that the data of the TV news swarm will be at the adresses I want.

    - 4) You can deposit specific Glitch Items in Pyramid Bag (or specific Items + Quantities in PC Items) and then use an Arbitrary Code Execution to copy the data formes by these Items (or Items + Quantities) over the swarm / TV news data, in order to create your own swarm."

So the Pokemon actually confirmed obtainable are Wailord, Shiftry, Masquerain and NidoranM. Can be interesting for shinyhunters.

Will try to do the trick for just fun but except if there is a very interesting Pokemon to get I don't think that I'll try to get them all because I want to focus on Hidden Grotto next.

@SwagKey I have tried tonight again and sorry no Hall of Origin Arceus can be Poketransfered even at lv100 :(

  14. Don't know if it's the correct place to write it but here my top 10 rarest Pokemon to catch during normal gameplay (I'll add special gameplay later):

-N°10 Stakataka in UM and Blacephalon in US (only 2 of both in one version each, quite rare but there's so much rarer)

-N°8 Skuntank in Diamond (whereas Purugly can be found in ORAS and Pearl Skuntank remains exclusive to Diamond)

-N°7 Hitmontop in Colosseum Hitmonlee/Hitmonchan in XD (only in one example, very hard to catch, it's the only way to shinyhunt Hitmontop)

-N°4 Togetic in Colosseum (only one at the end of the game, only way to shinyhunt it) or in B2W2 during event Funfiesta mission in Japan

-N°3 Celebi in Crystal (VC or Japanese Cartridge during an online event, only one, only way to shinyhunt it legally)

-N°2 Mew in Emerald (legally only in Japan during an event, only way to shinyhunt it legally)

-N°1 Scizor in Colosseum (only one, in Japan with e-reader cards, honnestly which one of you really caught it?)

    Special gameplay:

-Old Man glitch in Gen1 Venusaur, Charizard, Aerodactyl, Alakazam (cannot be shinyhunted)

-Emerald  Battle Pyramid : Villeplume, Jolteon, Ludicolo, Shedinja, Flygon, Shiftry, Exeggutor, Alakazam, Omastar, Armaldo, Cradily, Aerodactyl, Machamp, Flareon, Blastoise, Charizard, Arcanine, Vaporeon, Porygon2 (can be shinyhunting by glitching)

    -XY demo: Exeggutor
