  1. That he did. But I'm not worried about that one, I have one of the North American demo discs that distributes them. Only problem is it won't send them to games with dead batteries, so I can't get any more until I replace the battery on my Ruby or Sapphire. The North American Jirachi disc doesn't have that problem, though.
  2. One event Pokemon that DOESN'T need to be recreated is MYSTRY Mew. Two years ago with the help of collectors, Sabresite discovered that there are only 420 unique ones and uploaded PKMs of all of them to his Pokecheck box two years ago and made them public. Only problem is that site is down so he or someone else would need to upload them to another site.
  3. Yup, ajxpkm has dumped a bunch of actual wonder cards, so those could be injected into saves with the tool.
  4. Unless Nintendo France and Nintendo Spain/Portugal still load event items into games like Nintendo Italy does, we might be looking at a lost event for French and Spanish games.
  5. Only thing I can think of is load the EON Ticket onto an English game, then take the save and load it into another language game and see if the script is translated when you talk to Norman to pick up the ticket. But that might not work either.
  6. Bad news, everyone. Mystery Events are language locked. So there goes the whole "use the EON Ticket e-Card" idea.
  7. Shouldn't be too hard if Mystery Events aren't region/language locked (which they probably are). As an aside note, it appears the e-Card was ONLY given away in North America (Toys R Us and Nintendo Power for the US, while I assume Canada got it JUST through Nintendo Power but I don't know since I'm in the US), which is a rare case of Japan not getting the better deal.
  8. I knew all that. I have an e-Reader and three Eon Ticket cards (two legit and one I printed on photo paper). I also figured the max amount you can send by mixing records was 255 because of MORFEO's cheats.
  9. Since the Eon Ticket did get a distribution for Emerald in Japan, I'm wondering how it was done. I'm guessing Mystery Events considering Japanese Emerald still has that option, the fact the archived news page also mentions Ruby and Sapphire and the lack of an official Eon Ticket Wonder Card.
  10. Trainer Wonder Cards will just handle the e-Reader data and not the password part, right?
  11. That was easy. Still not sure what use we can get out of it, but at least the option's there.
  12. Wouldn't be as useful as sharable Wonder Cards, but interesting nonetheless.
  13. So can we attach Wonder News to Wonder Cards or is it still its own thing? Either way, it's cool you figured it out.
  14. Considering there are only 420 unique Mews from this event and Sabresite uploaded every one to Pokecheck two years ago, would it be a problem releasing a FireRed save with all of them now? EDIT: I'll settle for a zip with all the PKMs. Only asking because Pokecheck's STILL under maintenance.
  15. With how limited these events were originally and the lack of a Gen 3 Distro ROM, I don't have any problem with that.
  16. That... actually makes sense. Now my plan is Aurora Ticket on English FireRed and Mystic Ticket on both English LeafGreen and Emerald.
  17. Since we lack a Gen 3 Distro ROM, my plan is to have a US text Aurora Ticket that can be sent to English FireRed and LeafGreen (and maybe Emerald), a US text Mystic Ticket that can be sent to all three English games and an Old Sea Map that can be sent to Japanese Emerald (Note to self: buy a Japanese Emerald). Naturally, the data for each card will match the ones officially distributed minus said ability to send to other games. Obviously I'd see about setting up other events but those three are the main ones I'm after. Good point.
  18. Realized that after I posted. Also to test something, I used MORFEO's Aurora Ticket code on FireRed and tried sending the Wonder Card to Emerald, it wouldn't work. Sending it between FireRed and LeafGreen worked with no issues, though. So do Gen 3 Wonder Cards have a flag that can restrict the games they can be sent to like Gen 4 and newer?
  19. I went ahead and checked Altering Cave on the Aurora Ticket save from GameFAQs but there wasn't any change. Maybe the Wonder Card does have to have gold background, like Lady Ariel was saying. Couldn't have said it better myself.
  20. You know, I remember Chuggaaconroy saying in his Emerald Let's Play that he thinks he went to an event in 2005 and got Stantler in Altering Cave (he didn't mention the game, though). He's also mentioned plenty of times that he used to live in Arizona, so that narrows it down to the Mystic Ticket distribution date in Phoenix. In fact, here's the video. [video=youtube;SGlvVbLA-mo] Altering Cave is in the first minute.
  21. Huh, didn't know SDCC got Mystic Ticket. Makes sense why they wouldn't bother changing it to Fall. As for your second question, I got on NoA's support form and I don't see ANYTHING relating to anything older than the original Wii. Plus I'm reading that NoA never offered such a service to begin with.
  22. Shouldn't the Mystic Ticket card say "Exchange Card 2005 FALL" instead of "Exchange Card 2005 SUMMER"? The months for the US distribution listed on Bulbapedia are September and October, after all.
  23. Makes me wish Nintendo of America would load up older games with events. Oh well, that's why this site's up.
  24. Anyway ajx, since your list doesn't have anything for the USA Aurora Ticket, I found a save on GameFAQs with one. Uploader says they got it at Pokemon Center New York in 2004. Save Page: http://www.gamefaqs.com/gba/918915-pokemon-firered-version/saves
  25. It would need to be a wireless one, as Mystery Gift only works with the Wireless Adapter.
