They'll remake them all again. The main reason being that they've phased out the GBA slot on the DSi and beyond, so you will lose access to those pokemon again as the franchise progresses.

Can anybody give me some advice, I've tried everything and I cannot get this program to work. I always get the error "ERROR: AP not found" I can't figure out what is causing this or how to get around it, I've followed the instructions to set up the smallftpd server and edited the ini file to match.

Does anybody know where the yes/no option is located that corresponds with the prompt of whether or not you want to let Reshiram/Zekrom join your party before your battle with N? I'm curious because they are reversed, when you click on "no" is prompts you to replace a pokemon and when you click "yes" it lets you continue on without adding the dragons to your party.

The biggest reason the story isn't being translated first is that in a couple of months it will be released in english anyway. They're just translating the stuff that makes the game playable for those who are extremely impatient. These games are not that difficult that you can't figure things out on your own. Hell, I beat the game without the use of any of the patches and just the basic story line from pokebeach if I got a little too stuck. Pokemon games have always been particularly linear. Also being told to just sift through the masses of text to find those specific lines by somebody with the name lazy isn't too enticing. Have you actually looked at the files that you expect them to translate for you? They're a mess to navigate and finding just a couple of lines in them is too much of a waste. I'm pretty sure people are just looking forward to having the menu's pokemon and attacks in english because that along makes the game beyond playable, unless you're lazy. For all the wonderful things the internet has brought us over the years, it has destroyed any sense of patience, everyone feels they are entitled to anything if they bitch loud enough. Well now that the ranting is done, I noticed that the pokedex entries in black still get cut off some times. If I get a chance I'll look through them tonight.

pptxt is a neat little tool, this is really helpful

1. Yes your save will still work just make sure that the file names match. 2. All the pokedex entries are translated we're just touching up the formatting now. I just finished the ones for white and I think shadow was finishing up black. 3. There might be new bits here and there of story translated in v2 but I dont think it was a while lot more than what was in v1 Did you d/l the correct patch? one patch kept the katakana names and the other one romanized them.

NP, i'm just glad someone caught it early on so i had a chance to correct the error. Like I said that one has all the proper formatting for the pokedex on white version when it get's merged.

I don't think you missed anything, but when Kaarosu merged the pokedex stuff the same file with the pokemon black descriptions was used to overwrite both 235 and 236 instead of just 236.

no, 236 is the entries for pokemon black because they mention in genosect's description about the 300,000,000 years thing where that doesn't exist in 235 Genosect from file 0236(Black): ３億年前に　最強の　ハンターとして\xfffe恐れられていた。\xfffeプラズマ団に　改造された。 Genosect from file 0235 (White):プラズマ団によって　改造された\xfffe古代の　むしポケモン。\xfffe背中の　大砲が　パワーアップした。

They just used the same version for both files when they merged the files together. (Evident in the file descriptions) You can check out the kanji version of the two files in 0001 and see how the two files are different. Victini from 0235.txt 体内で　無限の　エネルギーを\xfffe作り出す。触れた　相手に\xfffeエネルギーを　分け与える。 It produces infinite energy inside its\xffebody. When it touches an ally, it shares\xffethe energy. I finally finished formatting the Pokedex Descriptions for Pokemon White. As far as I know all of the entries should conform to the 41 characters per line with a 3 line max description, but without being able to see it in game I can't fully check it. What I found helped was to open it in wordpad and remove all the \xffe tags then just set your margine at the 41 character line at it will automatically put in the proper line breaks for you and you can easily see which ones go beyond the 3 line max. Edit: I put the correct file up this time... 0235.txt

It actually looks like it's 40 before it cuts off.

Another quick update this are corrected lines 495-531 of the 0235.txt file. 235 is the white pokedex descriptions and I noticed that the one for black was just used twice... I will continue working on the rest of them, but these are at least a start. I hope i got the line breaks right. (If not I can just post the full list without line breaks for someone else to work on) Here's the rest of them without the line breaks (Lines 532-650)

Sigh, well I was going to get everything I needed to start helping on this set up but it refuses to work on my system, every time I try running Git-Cola after installing everything i need it keeps saying Git.exe has stopped working.

I doubt it actually takes them that long to translate it, chances are they have it translated already but they have a set release delay that they do before releasing it in NA. And if they don't have it translated yet, they will shortly then the rest of the time is bug testing then sending it to print so they are done at least a month and a half before release so they can get them shipped to the retailers.
