  1. that means it was hyper trained.
  2. Yup. I'm unsure if there is another event with an overly long name, so you may have to do it to a random mon Cheers
  3. Use Pandora's Box (as the guide stated), to see if the chosen PID can generated your TID/SID. If it doesn't, then it won't work. Any other questions, start your own thread
  4. My bad, I must have missed it. Tho further down I did say that I think it was likely some other issue related to the OT (which we'll talk about in this next point ) To go back to my line: Just speculation, but I'm leaning towards OT Length being the "something". If you pasted that OT into any other KOR Pokemon, you'll get this: We need to check for other Korean or Japanese events that have names that are too long. Note: Japanese and Korean OT, and maybe even CHS/CHT, have a smaller character limit than European languages. So while all that data space can be used for characters, when playing JPN/KOR/CHS/CHT in-game, you have no way of choosing such a long OT. Hard to call it a bug, since maybe it's intended behavior to change OT names, when they are too long, contain swear words, etc. If you have an active Bank subscription, and also 3DS save manipulation, this claim should be easy to test: Transfer up another mon that has a long OT, and transfer up another mon that has a bad word as OT. I don't have Bank subscription, so I can't run any such tests, sadly.
  5. some people would like to keep legit events to themselves. If they only have to go to the Pokémon Center/Pokémon Store once for themselves, and able to reuse different angles of the proof and can send out unlimited mons for clout or something, without having to go to the physical location multiple times, then maybe that's enough for them. It's like asking why do people lie on the internet? XD Let's for now ignore the potential for your HOME Rayquaza to be hacked (and by extension, ignore the request to send ICanSnake's Ray up to HOME). HOME doesn't have good enough hack checks, and only check really rudimentary stuff (like illegal alt forms, that kinda thing). So your OT being changed isn't because "it's probably hacked". It's likely due to language tag and OT language mismatch. I don't think you answered me, but was your Ray's language not Korean? Your memory is 0, so definitely not the same issue as @ICanSnake. At this point there may be too many events to list. Presumably, any Korean or Japanese OT that doesn't have Korean or Japanese language tag (respectively) will potentially get affected by the HOME OT rename. I'll first need confirmation on what language is your Ray. (note: I partially feel that maybe your mon IS Korean, since the OT was renamed to Korean. It may have been renamed due to illegal characters in OT or something; either way, a fail on HOME's part or a fail on the dev team that originally gave Ray that OT) HOME renaming event mons has been known. This is one of the earliest case (if not the earliest) that I've heard of: link Also, this doesn't just affect event mons: link
  6. Just to be clear, restoring means sending a save from your device's SD -> into your cart. And that save needs to be backed up or obtained somehow prior. (and for your intent, the save needs to be backed up with the mons prior) (and for a save to be in your device's SD, you either backed it up prior, or obtained one from an emulator etc) The "restoration" is not searching through your cart for a save. It's not the same "restoring" used in the phrase "restoring a corrupted SD drive"; that seems to be the way you're imagining it to be. (and even if it's that restoring, it requires the corrupted drive, ie. the actual device. If your cart is stolen, and you're using another cart, it basically means you're using a different cart. The data from a different cart won't magically transfer over) In terms of save manipulation, think of dumping/backing up and restoring as a pair. Dumping/backing up - you're basically copying the save from the cartridge and making a file that you can archive or store on your computer. Restoring - you're returning that copy (from above or dumped from other places) into the cart. You need to have a save back up from somewhere, in order to have something to return to the cart. Well, don't be too hard on yourself, a stolen cart isn't your fault. I know how much these mons mean. It is why people learn unofficial methods to back up their saves, because if one's cart or device gets stolen or lost, there's nothing official methods can do. And you're learning it now, better late than never. While this ain't likely to make you feel better, because whats lost is already lost, you're now preventing future loss, if you continue to back up your saves properly. Same issue as mentioned previously; it'll only work if you have a save with the mons backed up. : x (Also you've transitioned from Black 2 to Y at some point, so I may have confused which got stolen. but in any case, it applies to both: you need to have backed up the saves from those carts, in order to restore said save to the respective versions) Well, worse come to worse you can recreate those mons. If you got photos or anything, just key the requisite details in PKHeX. It probably won't feel the same, but that is the best that can be done right now
  7. Before we begin, I had to retype everything, as my page refreshed mid-typing, so my response might be a bit choppy and brief. While possible, the point is HOME changed the OT. As per the screenshot, you can see the OT is HOME in Korean. As such, PKHeX doesn't recognize the event at all. It overshadows the memory problem. (And in my opinion, the memory problem isn't a real thing) I was editing my previous post when you replied, so I'll just copy-paste it here: (Was to be an) Edit: To further add on to this, it's possible I misunderstood what you said, and in fact the person who gave you to Rayquaza, and the person who photo proofed, are two different people. In any case, the wonder card we have has no memory or feelings on it. Additionally, if you create a wonder card with an old version of the wc6creator, one of the things it does, is to clone a line of code down (known as watermarking). 1 - Original line 2 - cloned line We now know the location of the cloned line controls memory and feeling in Gen 6 (source). I cloned the line down to simulate watermarking, and imported it into PKHeX. This error looks familiar, doesn't it? So my present theory is that your Rayquaza was claimed with a card that has been tampered with, hence the invalid feeling. (The wonder card we have has no feelings. Additionally, off the top of my head, I don't think any Gen 6 events has memories and feelings preprogrammed). What could help confirm or deny this theory, is while your Rayquaza is viewed, check the OT_Feeling in batch editor. Just attach a screenshot that looks the same as above.
  8. Yours is flagged illegal for a different reason. As far as I can tell, this thread is regarding HOME changing the OT. A redemption picture, as much as it is proof, isn't 100% foolproof. Said person could have simply redeemed the Rayquaza properly, then traded you an injected one. The fact that the person has such a history makes me doubt them. Anyway, I don't think we should hijack this thread with other legality issues.. (additionally, it looks like the redemption photo doesn't have your account name, but theirs? they could have simply reused the photo for other similar redemptions..)
  9. Your Rayquaza was redeeemed has a non-Korean language tag I assume. From what I've seen, it happens to mons when language tag doesn't match the language used in the OT.
  10. Your file has Power Construct (ability set as Hidden Ability), that's one problem. Pretty sure you need 4 perfect IVs. That's the other problem.
  11. Your ability is wrong. Your IVs is wrong. PKHeX is working fine.
  12. I would assume that too, but one can never be too sure
  13. If you're thinking about "retrieving the save that was on the stolen cart", then no. The save is stored on the cart. So if the cart is stolen, then the save was taken along with it.
  14. I don't use cybergadget myself. Is your cart Japanese? If it isn't, cybergadget wouldn't work on it. Also, your best bet is probably installing CFW, then dumping the save. edit: I mentioned cybergadget here cause I thought you mentioned it. Reading what I'm quoting, and your edits, I can only assume I was reading someone else's post (probably this) when I replied here. In any case, my bad. Anyhow, I won't recommend cybergadget, and will recommend getting CFW.
  15. A tool to read Japanese 3DS carts (to dump their saves) in the 3DS days.
  16. well, you need a way to dump your save from your console, then copy it onto your computer, in order to edit it.
  17. If you're making a single change: Select 0xE8 under Extra Bytes, and changed the assigned value away form 255, to whatever value your ribbon is. (I don't know what the value of the ribbons are) If doing multiple changes: This is the line in batch editor. Change -1 to the ribbon you want to be affixed. And no, I don't think you can edit the obtained data. Presumably this is the data for the ribbons:
  18. ? The code gives the exact same mon, exact same event?
  19. @rng1031 this isn't really a Suicune caught there isn't it? The one I'm showing is a Max Lair one, and it's identified as legal.
  20. Eventually but not any time soon. Having a full GO dex will require me to transfer all the mons over, so that will take time.
  21. No moves from Pokemon GO are retained. None. The moves it'll learn are based on a few factors 1. The level it is at when transferred 2. Game/Generation nonsense (closest to time of HOME/SWSH) Here's a few exampls: 1. Kantonian Ponyta Will use moveset of LGPE 2. Galarian Ponyta Will use moveset of SWSH 3. Quagsire (your example) Will use moveset of SWSH (since the species is available in SWSH) 4. Darkrai (Lv 20, RAM dump from HOME) As you can see, it's gen 7 moveset So this is my guess for how it goes, in terms of priority: If exists in LGPE, use LGPE Moveset. Else, if exists in SWSH, use SWSH moveset. Else, use Gen 7 moveset. Do note that early transfers of Alt forms of Kantonian Pokemon may have incorrect movesets, and HOME did a dirty fix, where it just corrects incorrect moves by giving other moves it can learn. (which in itself may have caused issues; it'll have TR move as a replacement, even tho the TR learned flag isn't checked)
  22. I've added a transferred Shiny Celebi to here:
  23. The system isn't magic. You need to have obtained a save somehow from somewhere. When the cart deletes/overwrites a previous save, it's gone. It doesn't secretly back up the data somewhere. The cart doesn't have infinite data space. (Also the backup tool doesn't allow you browse "the data infinitely". It can only back up the current save file.) Hope this answers your question.
