Pokemon data has a structure, which is different every generation. You don't really think of it as text files.
PKHeX emulates the migration process flawlessly.

PKHeX is a save editor for core-series Pokémon games. With it, users can manipulate various save files including: .sav, .dsv, .dat, .gci, .raw, and .bin types. PKHeX can also read and write: .pk files, which are individual Pokémon files, and .pgt, .pcd, .pgf, .wc, which are Mystery Gift files.
Version 19.11.25 of PKHeX has been released with improved legality checking in SW/SH, Ultra Shiny support, and various new features and fixes.

Yes, I believe so. The extracted folder is named "PKHeX (191115)e"
Someone mentioned this to me on GitHub a few days ago but I couldn't reproduce the issue, which file are you trying?

Quick question: I tried to import some of the GMax mons from their .pk8 files into pkhex, and it is giving all kinds of errors. One is about unsupported file type/size, another is "binary not compatible with save file. Current SAV generation: 8".
Any idea why?
Love your work!
Are you on the latest PKHeX Build (191115e)?
-
Looks like CHT names for Gen 8 Pokemon are missing from PKHeX @Kurt.
Regarding Legality of Wild Area, that's being worked on and you should see it more or less fixed in the next release.

Thanks to the wonderful time exploit and help from @theSLAYER and some local friends, a legit collection of Gmax appears! Also, my Poke Ball Plus arrived, so here's Mew!

Done for now, released at
Won't be adding all the Gigantamax Pokemon, I don't have the patience to hunt them down. Will add them when distributions change to make them more frequent.

Not an issue listed there.
This should be fixed in the next release, as per https://github.com/kwsch/PKHeX/commit/422b11bb4217daf825d4a5bb9a5223405819f14c

Do you need files about the ones caught in Nests too, or just the ones who weren't in the grass? (Just in case, Givrali, Moyade, Ronflex, Gallame and Lokhlass were caught outside the grass, the others should have been caught in Nests).
Thanks, many of these should be Legal as of the latest commit.

PKHeX needs contributions to refine the Legality checks in the Wild Area. Pokemon that spawn outside of the grass are considered Static Encounters (see Kaph's long list here), and we need data for the Nests too.
If you have legitimately caught Pokemon from the Wild Area that is being flagged as "Invalid: Unable to match an encounter from origin game", please contribute your .pk8 files either by attaching them to this thread or by sending a Private Message.
Alternatively, if you are a developer, you can contribute the `Species` and `Met_Location` of the Pokemon. Or just directly contribute to the project on GitHub.
You can track the progress on GitHub here: https://github.com/kwsch/PKHeX/blob/master/PKHeX.Core/Legality/Encounters/Data/Encounters8.cs
