  1. Sorry, but it doesn't reveal anything special about XY. What they are describing how to RNG a game on BW2 so it has an ID that matches the one in the XY lottery for that day. Then they use Pokémon Bank to transfer a Pokémon caught on that game to their XY cart and win the lottery. Only doable because the RNG seed generation was known and could be manipulated by changing the time and date. Not possible on XY. Same goes for all the other methods you mentioned.
  2. The data you highlighted in red is not the data portion of the packet, it is part of the UDP packet header and not anything Game Freak added. It includes info such as source\destination MAC address (first twelve bytes).
  3. It might be that 0x18-0x1B is actually the PID and the value at 0x0 is just an unrelated number.
  4. Someone should win with a Wish Chansey from NYPC so we can finally have a widely-distributed, RNG'able Wish Chansey event. Hope these three come in Cherish Balls, unlike the previous Winner Pokémon event (Ray's Metagross, Toler's Metagross, Abram's Cloyster).
  5. Psych Up in the simulator does not behave like Psych Up in the games - it is swapping the stat changes rather than copying them.
  6. https://www.pokecheck.org/?bid=230595689501 On turn 1, Tyranitar isn't KO'd by Focus Blast because Plus\Minus is unimplemented.
  7. You won't be able to use it on the U.S.\European Global Link, even if you do transfer the save to US Black 2. It'll probably work on the Japanese Global Link, though.
  8. Until somebody submits an actual Wondercard - and nobody has, because nobody here attended Korean Nats - it will be marked as hacked. End of story.
  9. PID\nature and IVs only to a certain extent for Wondercards without a set nature. No relationship for anything else.
  10. Another issue with that match: Earthquake is listed as super-effective against Scizor, turn 4. The damage done reflects this.
  11. Yeah, Protect's counter will go down if it succeeds, regardless of whether the Pokemon is targetted (I have tested this in-game). Protect will fail and reset, however, if every other Pokémon this turn has already made their move. That's actually what happened in this post.
  12. The kind of Jirachi you get is determined by this exact save file. If you open it up and resave, you will have ruined the effect and get a completely different, non-shiny Jirachi. That is also why you get the exact same shiny Jirachi every time with the shiny save file.
  13. http://vsplayer.pokecheck.org/?bid=686411840274 Turn 5, Captivate is seen lowering opponents' Special Attack regardless of gender.
  14. I was a little too tied up to retrieve the Wondercard on other language versions. However, given that in the past that all Worlds wondercards have produced a Pokemon with an English origin or English name regardless of the game in which it is received, it's likely that this one will be as well. The woman at the volunteer desk said that all the wondercards were being distributed at the same time (despite the tournament schedule stating to the contrary), so they were probably using a single distribution cart.
  15. http://vsplayer.pokecheck.org/?bid=242077409874 On turn 2, VSPlayer has Hammer Arm as hitting Porygon2, but on the game it misses, causing a desync.
  16. http://vsplayer.pokecheck.org/?bid=797522966684 On turn 2, opposing Lickylicky is Swaggered, but Own Tempo does not block its confusion, eating up an extra RNG call. This causes a desync for the rest of the battle.
  17. On turn 1 of this video, one Cresselia uses Safeguard, and the other uses Swagger on it. The confusion isn't successfully blocked.
  18. The legality analysis on this Azumarill overlooks the fact that Aqua Jet + Belly Drum is an unobtainable egg move combination, but not on this other Azumarill.
  19. Some issues with this match: - On turn 3, Garchomp takes a Haban-reduced Outrage for 70 damage. However, playing the battle video on the game shows it takes 74 damage instead. This doesn't actually cause a desync, just something I noticed while investigating the next issue. - On turn 6, Overheat hits Ferrothorn, but on the game it actually misses so Ferrothorn survives. - On turn 7, on the game Ferrothorn uses Shadow Claw, but it fails outright for no apparent reason. I think it may have accidentally selected to attack its partner, though.
  20. There's a desync on turn 6 of this battle: http://vsplayer.pokecheck.org/?bid=674939062951 The Cresselia was taunted on turn 3, but it never wore off. So it successfully used Trick Room and Swagger on turns 6 and 7, but VSPlayer lists them as failing due to the taunt. p.s. I see Natural Cure was fixed to cure status upon switching out, but it still is listed as curing status upon switching in. This would cause a desync if the Pokemon had Natural Cure removed by Worry Seed\Gastro Acid\etc.
  21. Looking at the source for VSPlayer, I see that Natural Cure is scheduled to heal status when a Pokémon is switched in, rather than when it switches out like in the games. This would cause a desync if a teammate used Beat Up while the Natural Cure Pokémon was on the bench with a status it shouldn't have (although this is an extremely low percentage scenario).
  22. Nah, we didn't really care about it that much. The pitch of a Chatot's recorded Chatter also varies with the RNG, which can also be used to verify your seed in places where the radio\phone doesn't work.
