I completed some missions in Mt. Bristle and my game gives a black screen right after I'm getting my rewards, how comes ? How do I fix that ?

What are the main differences between "Difficult" and "Expert" ? I don't know which difficulty to chose. And what does it mean when it talks about additions specifically made for Explorers of Alpha available to me ?
