  3. Oh I didn't realise you had left me a reply here. Anyway, I replied to you PM. And at the risk of going off topic, I didn't make this signature a friend of mine made this one for me. My old one which I made is this.
  4. Mold breaker doesn't stop the sand. It stops the opponent's ability from effecting the effectiveness of the user's attack. IE Mold breaker EQ will hit Levitate bronzong. Putting sandstorm on a pokemon would also be a stupid thing to do. For Jellicent you want max HP, 72 speed, and the rest however you want. I usually just slam it in the special defence. Move set I suggest is: -Recover -Taunt -Scald / Will o wisp -Ice Beam / Toxic / Surf Basically, the speed added means she is able to outspeed and taunt most walls and stuff so it can shut down a lot of things like Ferrothorn and I believe Skarmory, too. The move choice is down to preference. At 75% chance of hitting, will o wisp is pretty much = to a completely accurate 30% chance of scald burn, so you may aswell just run Scald. ice beam nails dragons and gliscor if you can catch them on the switch. Toxic means it can beat other bulky waters and surf is there if you decide to run will o wisp over scald.
  5. If you're going for full stall you want to have as much passive damage going as possible. So make room for spikes, toxic spikes, stealth rock. Make sure you focus on immunities! You need to be able to safely switch in to pretty much any attack whilst taking as little damage as possible (so running Tyranitar / cradily / tentacruel could be a great idea). I would say Sand would be the best place to start with full stall, as every rock instantly gets a boosted special defence... You can make people cry by using cradily in the sand. Hail's upside is that less people are running hail, so of course it will affect most teams you go against. Only problem is, Not many pokemon get anything truly great out of it. Just mess around, test out some stuff on PO if you'd want.
  6. You're basically trying to make a balanced team then. I have to say, Balanced is VERY hard to pull off this generation. You need to commit to either full stall or Offence. Things are hitting way too hard for you to half-heartedly stall, it just won't happen. You'll need toxic spikes support and hail. I think a hail team or a sand team would be your best bet at trying to pull off semi-stall / balance / bulky offence (as the passive damage will greatly ease your load). however, this team won't be doing that, so keep this team and now try and make a new one A Defencive sand core that I've been thinking of is Tyranitar / Skarmory / Tentacruel. So if you want you could give that a try.
  7. Deoxus does make for a good lead but the way you're running it doesn't make it all that effective. I suggest running this instead Deoxys-S @ Focus Sash/ Lum Berry Trait: Pressure EVs: 252 HP / 20 Atk / 236 Spd Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def) - Taunt - Stealth Rock - Superpower - Psycho Boost / Spikes / Magic Coat You want at least that speed speed to outrun scarf chomp. You don't have to invest in HP if you don't want to, and you could run a straight 252 atk / 252 Spe set instead. However the speed is vital. With team preview everyone can see that you're running Deoxys in lead so they will put the scarf users in front position, of whom you won't be able to out run and as such they will beat you. Taunt is the selling point of Deoxys-S. It has the fastest taunt in the game and as such is awesome for that. Stealth rock is the standard. Super Power will be your move of choice generally speaking as a last ditch attempt to put the hurt on someone. The last move is tricky, Spikes will help ferrothorn out and ease the load in that department, which is helpful without an instant recovery move. Psycho Boost gives you another attacking option. However I would strongly suggest running magic coat to beat thunderurus leads, as they have priority taunt and can ruin your lead set. However, with magic coat you will ruin them with their own taunt, or cripple them with their own Twave. the Ferrothorn looks good. But you NEED thunderwave over gyro ball. Honestly. Your chandelure though, I don't like for this team. Garchomp will be your primary revenge killer so you don't need scarf chandelure. I would suggest instead either running a Flame Charge set or a calm mind set. With ferrothorn's Thunderwave you shouldn't have to worry too much about speedier attackers, and then you can use Chandelure as your win condition, the win condition being setting Chandelure up. Chandelure (M) @ Life Orb Trait: Flash Fire EVs: 40 HP / 244 SAtk / 224 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Flame Charge - Fire Blast - Shadow Ball - Hidden Power [Fighting] Set one is a late game sweeping set, you set up a flame charge and clean up the weakened and Twave crippled opponent. There's no need for energy ball as Ferrothorn eats Swampert. Chandelure (M) @ Leftovers/ Life orb Trait: Flash Fire EVs: 240 HP / 128 SAtk / 140 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Calm Mind - Fire Blast - Shadow Ball - Hidden Power [Fighting] / Substitute / Flame Charge Set two requires a little more set up and is probably once again best left till late game. You're going to want to make sure heatran is gone from the field, make sure there's no blissey, no Sazandora, no tyranitar... basically no speciall walls etc. The EVs are both a leftover number and a life orb number so chose which ever you prefer, you have enough speed to outspeed max speed scizor so that a quick pursuit doesn't catch you off guard and the rest is thrown in special attack. The idea is to use Cm on whatever you can and hope you paralysed enough pokemon to be able to sweep effectively. I wouldn't suggest attempting to set up unless Chandelure is currently getting Leech Seed health or has just been passed a wish. You have your general Stab attacks and a choice with the last. Hidden Power will net you the much needed coverage over heatran and tyranitar. However Substitute gives keeps you safe from crits / status and priority. You could opt for flame charge again in the last spot to get a double dance sort of feel to it, but you may want to go back to running 224 speed and running 32 Special Attack. Jirachi wants body slam and iron head over the elemental punches. If you can't get Body slam then just go for thunderwave. Rotom looks good and serves as a great rain killer, too. One suggestion I'd make is running this EV spread instead: EVs: 252 HP / 8 SAtk / 248 Spd w/ Timid nature. That way you outspeed things like CB heracross and live to tell the tale. Tricking spex onto heracross ruins heracross, and then you can trick the band onto a blissey later in the game. It just seems more efficient this way to me. You might want to consider putting in dragon claw over stone edge so that you don't find yourself getting locked into outrage and giving Lucario or something a free switch in to set up. Scarf tran can switch in on any of your pokes all day long so long as it watches out for thunderwaves and body slams, and it can break your team by pounding at it with Fire blasts. Rotom makes a good counter, but once/if it falls Heatran is really going to start working on your team. Now a way you can remedy this is by running a hitmontop over your deoxys (hear me out ) Hitmontop gets rid of key pokemon that hurt your team. These are things like Terrakion, tyranitar, Starmie, Hydriegon, Heatran, blissey and Bisharp. It also provides spin support for Chandelure. You won't even need to run Hitmontop in lead position, just put it there to feint it as a lead. If you do this, you will want to give Ferrothorn Stealth Rocks over Spikes, as SR is infinitely more important than spikes. This is the set I run: Hitmontop (M) @ Life Orb Trait: Technician EVs: 240 HP / 248 Atk / 20 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Fake Out / Close Combat / Stone Edge - Mach Punch - Rapid Spin - Sucker Punch Play it against the right pokes and you should have some great success with it. It certainly appears that it would slot in nicely on your team anyway. I hope that helps
  8. Just going to add on to what Wraith said about gengar. Your team is strugg;ling with physical walls and would love some form of recovery. That being said, You can replace Regirock with Vaporeon for something to switch in safely on water focused attacks, and wish support. You could replace both gengar and regirock for a jellicent, as it functions as a goiod water check, has the ghost immunity and has enough speed to shut down some other walls, too. If you go the Jellicent route then I suggest adding ferrothorn in the 6th spot so you have something to destroy other waters. If Ferrothorn doesn't tickle your fancy you can run Rotom-W as it makes for a great anti rain pokemon. If your adamant about gar I strongly suggest the sub/split set as that will aid in your team knocking down walls. Tyranitar this generation still functions as a great wall breaker by the way, so running specially defencive Tyranitar or any MixTar should help you out. TL DR. Either switch Regirock for bulky vaporeon, replace Gengar and Regirock for Jellicent and Ferrothorn or Rotom-W. + everything that Wraith Said.

<p><p><p><p><p><p>Well actually I'm not sure what's stopping me from doing that switcheroo, I was initially going to run NP trololos, and if I'm not running that then DD weather don might as well make use of it. </p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>I'm also thinking of Skarm over Ferrothorn for spikes, as I need people to be taking mass damage on the switch in, so that subpunch Croak can get its sweep on. It's a beast, BAND max 'ape can only manage 52% on croak, meaning I'm never 2HKOd by CC <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/biggrin.png" alt=":D" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/biggrin@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />. But again, things are looking bleak for the poor froggy, I just can't get it sweeping as it stands. Once I've got some holes and generally play problems out the way I'll post it and you can tear it a part for me. It's been a while since you've done a massive rate <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/tongue.png" alt=":P" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/tongue@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />. </p></p></p></p></p></p>

Btw, it does <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/laugh.png" alt="xD" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/laugh@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Spex rain boosted Hydro pump? Yes. Please!</p></p></p></p></p></p>

  11. <p><p><p><p><p><p>Glad to see the badges back. Also, looking and scarf Scizor. I kinda wanna use it. I doubt its viability now with the speed creep <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure.png" alt=":/" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I know it's not meant to overwhelm the team, but it won't even be able to outspeed the opponent. Hmm tricky.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>LO thunderus. Currently running it w/ taunt to shut some stuff down, but I might just opt for NP/sub and destroy stuff. It's currently the weak link. Not sure what to do with croak <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure.png" alt=":/" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/unsure@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /></p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>I'd imagine your spread would take out a niave Landorus quite easily. But then you are running the risk of it not, and then having to take a beast of a stone edge. My blissey OHKOs most 4x icers after rocks easily enough, but she can take an outrage solidly and Ice beam it for the kill. Some actually think DDing is a good idea after they've just been nailed by an Ice beam <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/sleep.png" alt="-_-" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/sleep@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />;</p></p></p></p></p></p>

  18. I know what you mean. I fully gave up with the anime somewhere in Johto, I think. None of it has that epic feel to it anymore, not even the movies so I just stick the earlier games and keep the newer things for competitive battling. We could have just outgrown it though
  19. Welcome to the site, michael It's always nice to see someone from the 1st generation But I'll skip the pleasantries and get to your question; site's had some troubles recently, all will be good in due time Enjoy your stay
  20. Ok I can work with that somewhat. I'll go through changes I think could work first then go on about stuff that counters your team etc. Lead champ doesn't really want to use substitute. a lot of things can taunt it and or kill it before it gets a sub up. So I suggest putting bullet punch in over that. This way you can smack something with Dynamic Punch then finish off sashers with BP. It also means it can kill stuff that are around the 12 / 15% (red health mark) later on in the game if need be. I'm also going to suggest an alternate EV spread of 132 HP / 252 Atk / 124 Spe. You lose out on bulk but you are out pacing a whole host of things that sit at 176 speed, such as Skarmory, some Ttar, some Scizor and even some speedy blissy. This is quite vital as it means dynamic punch will OHKO a post-Superpower Scizor which will mean Hydreigon has less to worry. about. Psychic on Starmie is a nice touch and it doesn't look like you have too much need for rapid spin anyway. So that counters Conkeldur quite nicely, as that too would be problematic for hydreigon and Ferrothorn. Even though you have choice specs on the set, I still recommend you go for Hydro Pump over Surf, as you're not going to be staying in anyway. So if you miss you can quite easily switch out, and if scizor stays in on it the next hydro pump will be sure to take it out anyway. Now I don't recommend you go the darminitan route. And here's why; The set you are talking about is very very vulnerable. Yes it hits like a truck but at the same time it takes so much recoil that it's hardly worth it if you don't have Wish support of some form. As you were running blaziken, why not run Starmie's old favourite partner; Mixape. It will take out all of the walls that will hinder your team, and you have Ferrothorn to counter those pesky bulky waters. You'll then have a lovely strong FWG core that that's both beautifully defencive as they can all switch in on each other's weakness whilst also being very scary as an offencive force. The set would be: Infernape (M) @ Life Orb / Choice Scarf Trait: Blaze EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def) - Fire Blast / Overheat - Hidden Power [ice] / Stone Edge - Close Combat - U-turn / Grass Knot / Thunder Punch Hidden power is very necessary so I strongly urge you to find the means of achieving it, as it will get rid of gliscor, chomp, mence... a plethora of things that you may struggle to get rid of. The choice between LO and Scarf is if you fear other scarf users that have a high Speed, like garchomp, or not. However that would be deviating from this set's purpose as a wall breaker, so Starmie might be the one that should be scarfed. You might just want to test different things out. You got your standard stabs there, Stone edge can work in place of HP Ice, but have fun with gliscor if you lack HP ice. Now the last move is up to you really. U turn is a great scouting tool and can gain you a ton of momentum if you use it at the right time, whilst GK and Tpunch get rid of Bulky water, I suggest you go Tpunch if you opt for one of the two as it means you can hit Tentacruel harder with it and it's working off of the stronger offence. Ferrorthorn's EVs want tweaking. 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD w/ either Careful or impish. And this is because its typing is more apt for special walling so it wants to be taking as much Special defence as possible. The moveset I can't fault though. The reason you're disliking Zapdos is because it's sort of on the wrong team. It works really well on teams that can abuse entry hazards like Toxic spikes to whittle the opponent down as it sub roosts. Seeing as you have toxic in place of roost, I'm going to say drop toxic and add roost. This way you can stall out Dynamic Punch, fire blasts and Stone edges all day long. However to do that you're going to need more speed So I recommend: Zeus (Zapdos) @ Leftovers Trait: Pressure EVs: 192 HP / 64 Def / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Substitute - Roost - Thunderbolt - Heat Wave / Hidden Power Ice / Toxic You could possibly use gliscor over it. Hydreigon has the support it needs for this team but it doesn't feel right. And certainly not scarfed, I don't like it scarfed at all. Its speed means most over scarfed things are oupacing it unlike say garchomp, who struggles to be outpaced by a lot of scarfed mons. And if you're adamant on keeping it scarfed you need to be running Fire blast over flamethrower as you don't have the needed LO boost. You also need U turn as that's its selling point over say Garchomp or salamence. I would suggest U turn over dark pulse. With the given changes I recommend you've now got a bigger portion of the metagame checked IMO. The only things I can see giving you problem are Excardrill, quiver dance Volcarona and landulos and double dance Terrakion. SD Terrakion and Landulos can be taken out much easier if you put a scarf on starmie, whilst Infernape is at a speed tier with terrakion. An option you could go for is running Technitop on the team which can remove all of those, bar landolus, or Azumarill which will take them all out. Azumarill would go over Starmie, and technitop would go over Machamp. But without starmie you will be all but forced to run a scarf on Infernape if you want any chance of beating DD mence or Scarf Chomp. I think that's about it. I can't see many Glaring holes if you apply the necessary changes.
