wiil Posted June 11 Posted June 11 Hey there - I am playing my first play through of Pokemon Emerald on the Analogue Pocket (it's been really fun!) I have been saving my game through in game saves (no save states) and I was ready to sink my teeth in to more game time but I was greeted with a corrupt file. I have a long trip coming up in two days and would love to continue this play through if possible. I have tried RecoverSaveGen3 with no luck (MissingCriticalBlocks). Not sure if anyone can help - but it would be greatly appreciated. Pokemon - Emerald Version.sav

Perhaps could try to Frankenstein the save, if it is indeed missing blocks
BlackShark Posted June 11 Posted June 11 This save is missing every block, except blocks 0, 12 and 13 which are repeated multiple times. Block 0 is Trainer Data which contains your Trainer Name, TID/SID, Pokedex data and a few other minor things (no flags or progress related things) Blocks 12 & 13 are the last box slots (which are empty here) and your box names and wallpapers. So there is not really something to rescue in there.

Perhaps could try to Frankenstein the save, if it is indeed missing blocks I just checked this morning to see if there were any previous versions I could roll back to (great ideas), but there wasn’t. I’m pretty new to this community, but I’m not sure how I would achieve Frankensteining the save.

You can technically pull out data from the RAM dump but I don't think it's worth the trouble: 1
wiil Posted July 17 Author Posted July 17 I somehow manage to revive something somehow using PKHex. I think I’m missing stuff? Or set back a little, but none the less I didn’t lose everything. Thank you for the reply though this is an amazing community
