Okami Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Aw, it's cute :3 I would like to have one of these....
fenzo666 Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 So according to one of my buddies, it will be a Mystery Gift distribution, but the decoration doesn't go to your default bag, it goes to some special secret base bag :B Now we need to get that WC.
Poryhack Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Any theories on how this will work? The Pokesav Mystery Gift edit doesn't include secret base items.
Greencat Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Mhh, it's about time they do something with Secret Bases. Maybe it was never anticipated it was possible. I guess it can't be modified/added with Pokesav? =/
FLOOTENKERP Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 yea how will this work with pokesav? well i guess we'll figure something out.
Godzilla231 Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Well, this is a stupid event. Some damn Lucario doll, and not a Pokemon. Though, it was about time they started giving out secret base items, but still. It kinda of disappointed me.
FLOOTENKERP Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 godzilla, although i wouldve loved a pokemon event, this is fine. and than again pokesav could not load secret base items in a WC. maybe this event will help us figure out how to do that.
damio Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 Maybe we will have to use PCD safe and a hex editor <:B
derrick Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 i hope we can still load it into are games with action replay.
ItsSuperEffective Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Hmmmm pimping my secret base with a lucario.... thats pretty epic.
Lady Aquarii Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Well technically there are give secret base items/goods codes for DPPt, so maybe it runs through that string of code ? Idk ^^;; It is a nice resource to add to pokesav/pokemod though. I guess Nintendo is trying to keep things refreshing? Not like I'm EVER in my secret base anyways, but still, it's nice to see them do something different :3
Guested Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Not like I'm EVER in my secret base anyways I'm in your secret base all the time. BAM But seriously, I like the idea of this event, and I feel like the whole giveaway idea could have been utilized a lot better by doing stuff like this more often. Remember how you could always get SOMETHING at the NY PC? They had all those random giveaways. The WC system for DP is even more capable of handling a variety of things, not just Pokemon (items, Poketch apps, seals, Accessories, etc). So I really think there'd be more draw (and more feeling of uniqueness) to be able to get SOMETHING each time you go to Nintendo World, or a PC... whether it's a random semi-rare pokemon (starter, older starter, fossil pokemon, random egg, etc), a Poketch app, or a rare-ish item. It'd make it a more unique experience to GO there and DO it. Associating the experience with the received thing. We can hack whatever we want, but you can't hack the experience. BAM! end rant.
Poryhack Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 ^lol I'm glad they don't tbh. That would be a bitch to get all those events.
sabocan Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 there are lots of unobtainable dolls too are they gonna make an event for all
NTR-AAQE-USA Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Well it works with a Wondercard, I have no idea how. http://pikachuftt.blog82.fc2.com/blog-entry-1189.html edit: I just got it It uses Seal 118, it will give you that decoration in the mart.
Kuro Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Well it works with a Wondercard, I have no idea how.http://pikachuftt.blog82.fc2.com/blog-entry-1189.html edit: I just got it It uses Seal 118, it will give you that decoration in the mart. Did it on english or japanese DPP?
black blood lust Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 this is a change and the fact that we can poke'save generate the code in the format of a wc from a secret base item i baffling, but it's something to look into is it not. as for the idea i am in my secret base occasionally when im within a 30ft. range of one of my friends in order to play capture the flag =) so yes i think i will like having a lucario in my secret base when the USA version of the event comes out. i really need to buy pokemon platinum JAPANESE version.
NTR-AAQE-USA Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Did it on english or japanese DPP? I'm not sure to understand. You can only get this event on a japanese D/P/P legally.
NTR-AAQE-USA Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 so its already to be downloaded from this site? No. wait a moment it will be available in the WC contribution thread soon
Poryhack Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Well it works with a Wondercard, I have no idea how. The labels in pokesav are wrong. Maybe COM just mistakenly assumed that the Pt items would coincide with the DP ones, or maybe they have just been wrong from the start. This certainly isn't seal 118 though... lol Aside from that, the only difference between this and a WC like the secret key is that the item is sent to your secret base PC rather than your bag.
NTR-AAQE-USA Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 I think the game just reads seal 118 as a Lucario doll. It isn't a mistake, thats how Game Freak tells the game what item it is.
NTR-AAQE-USA Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Well maybe COM will fix that glitch. MAYBE. This isn't a glitch. The game reads Seal 118 and KNOW it is the Lucario doll. Game Freak used things like that before. Example: All GBA-Events have Ruby/Sapphire as their game of origin, all the other GBA-Games could display "fateful encounter" because of that. If you had a Pokémon from Leafgreen and set the met-location to fateful encounter, R/S would say "obtained in a trade". Well, maybe a bad comparison but i hope you can understand that
