jteamjason Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Hello, I'm trying to use PKHeX with an old emulator save I have from years ago. It says that input file is too large - and it is, it's twice as large as it should be. Could someone use a hex editor to help me trim down the file? I would greatly appreciate it. lgc-pkmp.sav
Atrius97 Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Your best option would be to load this file into an emulator again, load the game, make a save state, change the emulator settings to the correct savefile type and size, load the save state and then manually save ingame to generate a proper size/format savefile.
Pako96 Posted May 18, 2023 Posted May 18, 2023 Here you go In the future, try to set manually the save size in DesMume to 512 kb, since the other 512 kb were all garbage data to fill the 1Mb ratio. test.sav
Singecku Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 I fixed this for Pokémon violet by applying an old update to the game. I'm personally using update V 1.3.2 and then putting my save on the 3.0.0 update with checkpoint. So just install Pokémon and an old update. Should fix the file too large error
ShadyBoots Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 Unfortunately it seems like all we can do is wait for an update. Hopefully there will be one soon 1
