pk3DS: Pokémon 3DS ROM Editor and Randomizer

Hello everyone, this is a great tool! I can modify EVERYTHING, well....except when I try to modify wild encounters by changing/removing/adding species it gives me this:

I've tried re-downloading the tool, extracting with Hacking Toolkit, not extracting it, but no luck. It's probably something simple but I can't figure it out

Hello.  I am hoping someone might be able to help me out with figuring out why I am getting a specific error when extracting a rom.  The rom was dumped by Godmode 9 from the original Gamecart via copy function. The game is Pokemon Moon and when I extract the .3ds or the trim.3ds file I end up with the following error:

I was able to extract a decrypted version of Alpha Sapphire, but when I rebuilt the .3ds file nothing recognized it correctly.  Essentially it told me that the game did not exist so I'm hoping someone might have some advise.  Thank you.

Hi! Im modding an Omega Ruby rom and was wondering if there was a way to identify specific gifting events, not pokemon but items, Im trying to get Steven to give the player the eon flute instead of the starter mega stone and later the shiny charm instead of the eon flute. I know adding npcs isnt possible in these games but perhaps this is, since it would be changing an item for another. Thanks!

Hi, I'm modding an X Rom and I'm running into 2 issues. 1. my CRO stops rebuilding after getting to here (image), and 2. When I have it rebuild the 3ds file, Citra can boot it, but it just remains on a black screen, with no frame progression. I know that it says something about patching the RO making rebuilding the CRO not necessary but I don't know how to do that. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hi, I'm having issues I believe. I'm attempting to modify Ultra Moon and for some reason when I try and rebuild as a .3ds file, it outputs as a simple binary file, and then I can't install it on my modded 3DS. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Is there any way of exporting a LayeredFS directory for patching physical carts?

 

But first, I just need to vent for a moment. I had a lot of trouble figuring out how to open my "pokemon Y (decrypted).3ds", and had to use the decompress tool to modify it. 

 

There doesn't seem to be any built in way to export/rebuild a LayeredFS directory from changes made. I would appreciate if this could be added. All it is is a folder named with the game's title id, then inside that all of the modified files, so often just a romfs folder that then contains pathways like a/2/1/8 where 8 is one of the base files from the extracted game.

Did you try to put .3ds in the name eg. Ultra Moon.3ds

Hello, i am editing Ultra Sun. Well, i edit the pokemon typing but it didnt change in the game. I change the stats too but i am not sure if that work. The movesets i randomize works well but just this pokemon type. Is it impossible to change?

 

edit: nevermind. i found the problem. its because of citra.

Hello, is there a way to batch edit pokemon BST? or is there a way so that the edited rom from pk3ds to be able to be detected by universal pokemon randomizer zx because this randomizer is the better one to randomize pokemon stats. pk3ds pokemon stat randomizer is not working. Unless you set the deviance % all they did is shuffling the stats. 

i want to make all pokemon have the same BST but pk3ds can only change the stats manually one by one.

hello i have aa question about pk3ds for real hardware and NOT for citra emulator i followed  instructions from multiple youtube videos and was eventually able to modify my game files with pk3ds and downlaod the patched game on the 3dds  but when i try deleting the original game and downlaoding the patched version the gift i get is blank and has no name and when its oppened the game icon is just a black square with no name when i click on the game the screen turns black and it has an error on the bottom screen" {errdisp} press any button to reboot" do you know why this could be happening or how to fix this issue sorry if someone alreaady asked and you answered it but i really need to figure this out
