<p>Here are the new scans from CoroCoro released earlier today revealing a significant amount of new information regarding Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver:</p><p><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="/images/corocoro/hgss/apricorn_balls.jpg" rel="lightbox"><img src="/images/corocoro/hgss/apricorn_balls.gif" style="border: 1px solid #369; margin: 0 0 0 1em; color: #369; font-size: 90%;" /></a><a href="/images/corocoro/hgss/apricorns_pokeball_portable_container.jpg" rel="lightbox"><img src="/images/corocoro/hgss/apricorns_pokeball_portable_container.gif" style="border: 1px solid #369; margin: 0 0 0 1em; color: #369; font-size: 90%;" /></a><a href="/images/corocoro/hgss/battle_frontier_magnet_train.jpg" rel="lightbox"><img src="/images/corocoro/hgss/battle_frontier_magnet_train.gif" style="border: 1px solid #369; margin: 0 0 0 1em; color: #369; font-size: 90%;" /></a><a href="/images/corocoro/hgss/rayquaza_activation.jpg" rel="lightbox"><img src="/images/corocoro/hgss/rayquaza_activation.gif" style="border: 1px solid #369; margin: 0 0 0 1em; color: #369; font-size: 90%;" /></a><br/><a href="/images/corocoro/hgss/mystery_egg.jpg" rel="lightbox"><img src="/images/corocoro/hgss/mystery_egg.gif" style="border: 1px solid #369; margin: 0 0 0 1em; color: #369; font-size: 90%;" /></a><a href="/images/corocoro/hgss/raikou_encounter.jpg" rel="lightbox"><img src="/images/corocoro/hgss/raikou_encounter.gif" style="border: 1px solid #369; margin: 0 0 0 1em; color: #369; font-size: 90%;" /></a><a href="/images/corocoro/hgss/rayquaza.jpg" rel="lightbox"><img src="/images/corocoro/hgss/rayquaza.gif" style="border: 1px solid #369; margin: 0 0 0 1em; color: #369; font-size: 90%;" /></a><a href="/images/corocoro/hgss/bug_catch_contest.jpg" rel="lightbox"><img src="/images/corocoro/hgss/bug_catch_contest.gif" style="border: 1px solid #369; margin: 0 0 0 1em; color: #369; font-size: 90%;" /></a><a href="/images/corocoro/hgss/safari_zone.jpg" rel="lightbox"><img src="/images/corocoro/hgss/safari_zone.gif" style="border: 1px solid #369; margin: 0 0 0 1em; color: #369; font-size: 90%;" /></a></div></p><p><ul><li>The first two images show the Apricons and their Pokeballs. The apricorns appear to be kept in a key item container, so this would eliminate the problems with compatibility with DPP since a Pokemon can`t hold key items. This allows the player to grow Apricorns while travelling. (Pokeballs shown: Friend Ball, Heavy Ball, LoveLove Ball, Speed Ball, Level Ball, Moon Ball, and Lure Ball)</li><li>This 3rd image shows the magnet train and SS Anne dockhouse along with Johto Region`s Battle Frontier. The entrance looks like it is in the same place as Crystal`s Battle Tower, which is on route 40.</li><li>The 4th image shows a Wi-Fi double battle with Dialga and Palkia, a 2010 WCS announcement and an encounter with Rayquaza.</li><li>In the 5th image we see the player receiving the Mysterious Egg from Mr. Pokemon.</li><li>The 6th image shows an encounter with a wild Raikou.</li><li>The 7th image simply shows Rayquaza hindering in HeartGold and SoulSilver.</li><li>In the 8th image we see the player receiving the Pokedex from Prof. Oak. Bug Catching Contest.</li><li>The last image shows the entrance to the new Safari Zone, accessed by Cianwood City.</li></ul></p><p>Much thanks to Guested for the translations. Thanks for reading! Check back soon for more updates.</p><strong><a href="">► Comments</a></strong>

There were 7 Apricorns that Kurt could use to make into the 7 Pokeballs you see in the pictures. Since those Pokeballs will be present in HGSS but were not present in DPP, Derrick was wondering if Pokemon caught with these new (new for this generation, anyway) Pokeballs will be able to be traded to DPP.

It's a mystery right now.

There's no way they won't allow you to trade a pokemon just because of this. Especially since you can't change the ball a pokemon was caught in.

How they'll do it I don't know, maybe it will be similar to how they handled Pt-exclusive locations. The HGSS ball info could be stored in one part of the pkm while the DPPt would be in another. Maybe reverting to a default of "pokeball" when the pokemon is traded.

I was thinking it could be something like that, Pory.

Both referring to where the data is stored (Pt-exclusive locations) and to the reverting to a pokeball.

It seems the most logical, doesn't it?

My guess is that any new items (Balls and apricorns) simply won't be able to be traded.

What happens if a different Pokemon (not Giratina) tries to enter the Union Room while holding the Griseous Orb? I know Giratina drops it, but do all Pokemon drop it before entering? Perhaps something like that will happen with any new items in HGSS
