Wont let me save my pokemon please help

Ive been trying to save my pokemon on to my platinum version but every time I try the pokekon don't save onto my rom please help if anyone knows what could be the problem.

you have to "set" the pokemon back into its place after you edit it.

once you're done editing, save your file and put it back in your cart.

I have been saving over my .ds1 save file

something im trying is saving it then reloading it in pokegen to save time and the pokemon never show back up

In Desmume, File -> Export Backup Memory.

In version 0.9.7, this sometimes made a difference for me.

In version 0.9.9, it works with just the .dsv.

That's not the point. Just use File -> Export Backup Memory and see if it works better.

And don't forget to (in Pokegen) Right Click on a Pokémon slot and click Set.

Nvm It worked for my pokegen like it kept but it didn't worked for my desmume any help?

After editing, use File > Import Backup Memory in DeSmuMe.

Ok this is what I did I started a game. got to the nearest pokemon center so I wouldn't have to again I save the game export the backup memory. plug it into pokegen in this it does not show the starter since that is the only pokemon im using. Should it show the starter through pokegen?

3. In pokegen, load the sav from step 2.

4. Do edits, setting pokemon back into their slots when you are done editing them.

5. Save the sav in PokeGen.

6. Import backup memory, select the save file from step 5.

7. Reset emulation

8. Enter game.

When I do this like export it is there supposed to be a file already there or make a new one?

Export to a file that doesn't exist, import from a file that does exist.
