Izzymon
I have checked 2 pokemon that were transferred from HG, a Metagross and a Togekiss both nicknamed, and i keep gettting the following message in the nickname field of the Pokechecks legality analysis: "This Pokémon is missing HGSS hatch trash bytes", i do not understand what this means for my pokemon as both were breed, and trained in HG and nicknamed in their original file, neither name has any non alphabetic characters, is this a bug or is there something wrong with my pokemon? dcrispell7
not really a false positive issue (well its that too), but more of an issue with the account settings. http://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=1116758 http://www.pokecheck.org/?pk=1133383 the first link is to my Landorus that i RNGed in my black version. The second link is to a Korean Landorus that is identical to mine in every way, except the OT is Korean. The ID/SID is the same, the ball choice is the same, the date of capture is the same, the nature, IVs, game version, even the PID is the same (What are the odds of that even?). It seems pretty clear that this guy hacked my Landorus (if you click on the OT on pokecheck it even brings up all of my other B/W legends from that file!) but i have my account set to forbid others from making my pokemon public. As far as i can tell this is the only pokemon of mine that has escaped the block i tried to put on my pokemon for letting others make them public

Your pokemon are perfectly fine because the HG/SS name rater wipes all trash bytes when nicknaming a pokemon. It's nothing to worry about.
hfc2x
Hi, I would like to report a false-positive. There's a Tyranitar I bred myself in Pokémon Emerald which has almost perfect IVs. I cloned it in Emerald and then traded the clone to FireRed. From there, I migrated the clone to Platinum and uploaded it to Pokécheck. It says that my Tyranitar has invalid Pal-Park trash bytes and that it's IVs are hacked, when I know they are not (like I said, I bred it myself, after more than 100 Larvitar eggs). [iCON]248[/iCON]Post a link to the Pokemon. http://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=1614323
Hozu
Did you upload it by .pkm file extraction via Pokegen? Or Pal Park it via emulator? Or was this done using retail carts the whole way? ► Move 2 Valid (Colosseum/XD exclusive from Larvitar) < Dragon Dance is an egg move in 3rd gen... that shouldn't be like that. Edit: http://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=1639347 Clefairy from a Pokéwalker can get Moonlight at level 8. xfr
I only have retail carts. If that's the case, how did you import this Tyranitar by pkm file? Like it or not, this Pokémon is illegal.

Hozu
There's a tool called ir-gts, you know? If you don't like legitimate false-positive reports, that's fine. I just wanted to let you know that your tool is flawed. This tool only supports retail devices. Using things like flashcarts or other tools to get a .pkm file may change the data in some way (which if you're claiming your Tyranitar is legit from retail then yes it changed stuff). Pokécheck does not support things altered by external means. If you can use IR-GTS why don't you just upload it via GTS to Pokécheck directly? I know that in the rare case that I do a .pkm upload from 4th gen via extracting with Pokegen I get dropped trash bytes... Actually that issue should be told to Codr. Edit: DW ability mons that aren't available from the Entralink (as in Hidden Hollow only) should not show up as legitmate from the Entree Forest. Such as this Breloom: http://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=1647105 Also I did submit a bug report for Pokegen regarding the dropped OT terminator as it has happened to me (check the Pokegen Bug subforum for that). Edit 2: Codr says the last terminator is a non-issue for him because it's after the first terminator. For the purposes of Pokegen... I kinda agree with him even though it's wrong. So for the most correct results please upload Pokémon via GTS using only retail carts for the entire process. This includes the capture/breeding of the Pokémon. Lapis Mew
Pokémon itself: http://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=1658450 Analysis: http://www.pokecheck.org/?screenshot=1658450&la You can have a hatched Pokémon only in the standard Poké Ball. This Terrakion (yes, something that you can't bred, but that's not the matter) is in a Dusk Ball, yet Poké Ball is said to be valid. Search function gave nothing about this (or I choose the words poorly) PS. It also says "This Pokémon is not nicknamed but its name doesn't match the species name for its OT's language.". However, the OT is English, its "nickname" is Terrakion, which is species name. An error? Edited July 17, 2012 by Lapis Mew Another thing.

Well, the pokemon doesnt say it came from an egg, so the ball is fine. But still, why are you complaining that your hack doesn't show up as hacked in that one part? As for the nickname, well that part is functioning fine, but explaining that to a hacker (even one who wants his hacks to show up as hacked) is just not a good idea ... Hozu
http://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=1478659 Egg events such as YotD shouldn't have the orange warning saying "This event has a nickname (ID abuse or hacked)." because the OT is always the recipient. Thus it can be nicknamed very easily.

randomspot555
What part of hacked/event only is confusing to you? For all intents and purposes, you might as well classify PokeWalker Pokemon as event mons since they differentiate from the norms. Again, legality analyses expect the user to not be an idiot and have the ability to look up move legalities such as event exclusiveness and move tutors and whatnot.
