In the 5th gen, Pokemon hatched from eggs keep the trashbytes the had from the name "Egg" (or the equivalent in whatever language they're from), this is usually overwritten by the new name when the Pokemon hatches but it is possible to see with some spanish Pokemon as their eggs are named "Huevo".

http://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=1962525 This has pefectly normal Trash Bytes (second xFFFF is the terminator sequence from the name Huevo).

http://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=466144 This is a hack as it is missing the terminator sequence from the name Huevo.

It's legal

Just because it has an origin language of Spanish doesn't mean that the egg originated from a Spanish game. Upon hatching the origin language hex will change.

http://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=466144 "Egg received Day-Care Couple" is it now possible to legally trade eggs w/o having it show up as "Egg received Link Trade"?

And traded eggs retain the language they are originally from, which means even if the egg was traded to his game using a fake GTS service (which does not cause link trade to appear and can therefore cause legality issues if you don't trade it normally after) it would still need to be from a Spanish game originally.

Something unrelated to eggs for a change, http://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=2415954 unless something new was discovered a 0/0 ID combo is impossible to get on 4th gen games, so this should not show up as legal.

EDIT: More egg stuff! http://www.pokecheck.org/?pk=2011205 Hacked for a few reasons, but the biggest is that it doesn't have an "Egg recieved date" and does have a "Hatched/Met date"

EDIT2: LA dos not like French Metang that was evolved on an English game http://www.pokecheck.org/?pk=2458415

LA doesn't like my YoTD (Year of The Dragon, japanese shiny dragon eggs event [damn those egg events]) Salamance and my YoTD Flygon as well... https://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=2470304 https://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=2478804

PS.: I got them as wonder cards in the Black 2 card, hence the English language.

So you hacked some wondercards onto a game they should never be on and are upset they're not legal?

Got a false-negative to report, http://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=2133519 is illegal as it's missing trash bytes from the name "Trapinch".

This is an illegal egg move combination. Shellos can't get both Yawn and Mirror Coat to pass onto it.

It looks good to me. If the original parents were bred or obtained in Gen 3, it's all good. Counter and Mirror Coat were tutors in FR/LG, so if transfered from R/S/E...Twice, one male, one female, then bred in Gen 5 again, it's a legal Mudkip.

It is an error though about Shellos/Gastrodon being legal parents.

It's YAWN and Mirror Coat. Not COUNTER and Mirror Coat.

^ this.

Also, Mirror Coat has never been a tutor, anywhere.

Yes, they were hacked into it, I wanted to see how would that affect their legality. But, my point being: If we have an egg event on english cartridges, wouldn't "Pokemon Center" be a legal location for receiving it? (sorry for the misinterpretation on the post, my bad)

Wondercards exclusive to a certain region (and language) are impossible to get on any other language game. Since the Wondercards are not in the list of the upload's language, it won't pick up on it.

To be legal, it has to be received on the language it was distributed to.

Hi guys :),

I'm new here but I registered cause I may have some questions to ask about Pokécheck.

I've been told that shiny Pokémon - in Gen 5 in that case - found with an Action Replay code can't be legal because they have a wrong PID.

So I tried and caught a shiny Litwick with a code, then sent it to Pokécheck and did a legality analysis. And guess what ? It seems to be perfectly legit according to the checker, just take a look : http://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=406054

I've done this more than a year ago, so I thought Pokécheck had improved its checker since then, but it doesn't seem to be the case. Or maybe I've been told something wrong, and Action Replay shinies are legit ?

I'd like to know more about that =)

btw, I didn't do any other tests since that Litwick, and maybe it's actually a real shiny, which would suck cause I already found a legit one =(

And what about Action Replay shinies from Gen 3 and Gen 4 transfered to Pokécheck ?

Thanks !

Shinies found with an action replay in the 5th gen can be legal, there's no PID-IV correlation as opposed to gen 3/4.

Problem meeting with Darkrai and Arceus. Meet invalid: Ile new moon = Darkrai Encounter invalid / / Columns spears: Arceus = Meeting invalid.

If a Newmoon Island Darkrai is from Diamond or Pearl, it's not legal. Arceus is illegal no matter which game it came from if it's a Hall of Origin Arceus.

I couldn't remember why I had a random Oshawott on my account so I deleted it only to remember i had linked it here :/ Sorry for the repost. Any way, the LA doesn't recognize 65535 as a valid TID in gen 5 http://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=2554936 even though it recognizes 65535 as a valid SID http://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=2402744 and has no issues with 65535 as a TID in gen 3 (http://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=610175) and gen 4 (http://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=1888603)

it is easy: your first pokemon does not have a legit SID 0 only can´t be a number which means 0000 is not legal, you might have to modify it (if it is not from your game) and make it somewhat like 0103 or so!
