I cannot give a definitive answer regarding the legality of extremespeed Pikachu until the wondercard for the event is contributed but I would be surprised if this one turned out legal because all previous generation 5 events have had their secret ID set to 0.

Photographic evidence doesn't really help but posting the wondercard in the event contribution forum would settle the issue.

thankyou for the response, the SID did strike me as odd too as I was expecting the error there, for no SID.

Ill have to ask her if she really did go or got it off someone else, because as i said, she is usually quite reliable. for now though, this Pikachu is going byebye

My original post regarding ExtremeSpeed Pikachu and other unreleased Events. You can pretty much assume that the other ones could be hacks / manipulations. It wouldn't surprise me.

The Card for it should come when it comes. We have until May, so I'm not too worried yet.

If you could help us acquiring the Wonder Card through that contact. We'd definitely appreciate it, it would also save me loads of work.

an update to the extremespeed pikachu problem I had. my contact has indeed confirmed she recieved it 2nd hand, as hasnt had time to visit Kyushu yet. so yes, non legit. Ill try to get the PGF from her when she does eventually go... and if not, Im planning a trip over in April, so will make sure to visit Kyushu Station while there with my black jap copy.

Hopefully though, we get the PGF before that

I was looking at some Pokemon just now in 4th gen, and while looking at a Level 1 Burmy's Legality Analysis, I saw:

► EVs This Pokémon has very few EVs for its level.

Of course, it has very few EVs; It's level 1.

Link to the Burmy in question: http://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=316386

Either it's glitched, or you're expecting Level 1 Pokemon to have EVs. I don't think 5th gen Legality Analysis had this error, though; if you are expecting Level 1's to have EVs, then my bad.

EDIT: Alright, I've looked around at some more Pokemon, and it seems that Level 1 Pokemon that are hatched from eggs have that in their legality analysis in gen 4.

Seems it's for all egg hatched Pokemon that are lv. 1

You should add an item check to the legality checker. Otherwise legal Pokémon holding un-holdable items (such as this Kyurem holding a God Stone) aren't marked as hacked.

Obviously items like this that can't be held should be marked as hacked, but unavailable hold items such as the Soul Dew should just be marked as suspicious since giving a legit Pokémon a hacked item doesn't make the Pokémon itself hacked.

Quoting my first post since you didn't respond. In addition to checking items, you should also add a check for ribbons. This movie Hydreigon has a Festival Ribbon instead of a Wishing Ribbon.

1. This Pokemon should not considered to be legal: http://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=906648

2. Pokemon Box exclusive move still "hacked":

3. My Tyranitar is not from Colosseum/XD, but its Dragon Dance still being reported as "Colosseum/XD exclusive"

Signed up to report some problems with the 4th gen legality checker.

Both these Pokemon are private, if this is a problem I can post screenshots.

Scyther. This was caught during a chain (I had to start a chain because of the lack of correct encounter slots), but it says "Possible method J/K slots don't match encounter." Since starting a chain overwrites encounter slots any chainable Pokemon (any Pokemon from DPPt found in grass) has no invalid spread/slot combos.

Above Scyther now a Scizor. Same Pokemon as above, now evolved into a Scizor, this time it says "Static / Magnet Pull encounter.", the only problem is that Scizor has never been catchable and Scyther is not affected by Static/Magnet Pull.

EDIT: Another Pokemon, Shinx. This is a chained shiny with a Static lead but it shows "Unknown encounter.", it's like this for all the shiny Shinx I caught from the same chain.

Sorry about my English. I'm not English use, so my English's grammer might be wrong.

I checked my pokémon to test pokémon's trashbyte of nickname. I named my Shuppet 'オ' in my Pokémon Emerald(Japanece Language) and I used Pal Park in HG(Korean).

Shuppet's data is appeared, checked trashbyte.

オ\xFFFF\x0000\x0000\x4200\x0000\x0000\x0000\x801C\x0D02\xE0FF

All characters in name are valid.

Invalid Pal Park trash bytes.

Why do you think the message is appeared?

I checked my Pokémon's Pokérus too. And, it's data is appeared wrong either.

I sended my Scizor to the Pokécheck, checked the Legality Analysis.

Pokérus

Default strain (might be from hacked pokérus).

I didn't use edit or hack. And the pokérus from another pokémon infected my Scizor. It is gaved for me by another person. Why is it appeared?

Pokemon caught in HGSS Safari Zone are false positives, "Unknown Encounter". I guess it is because their Encounter Type is Tall Grass/Darkrai and not "Safari Zone/Great Marsh".

http://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=985534

Just caught that 100% legit Rhyhorn to control that.

another bugreport: http://www.pokecheck.org/?screenshot=985504&la

Encounter Type is correct and you can catch Yanma up to lvl 31 in the Great Marsh.

Back again.

This Tentacool used to show up as "Valid (cute charm on ESV=whatever)." but now shows "Hacked (valid spreads: 5/8/18/6/19/24, 10/9/8/27/18/8, ).", it's the only Cute Charm Mon I have that shows up as having an invalid IV/PID combo. EDIT: Found 2 more, Caterpie 1, Caterpie 2.

The Location also shows invalid slots.

This Grimer has the same encounter slot problem which leads me to believe it's a problem with surfing CC encounter slots. Edit: Zubat with invalid slots, now I'm lost.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but certain PCNY events are coming up as "Unknown GBA PID".

http://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=741400

http://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=10643

I'm not sure if the Seviper is a legit PCNY Pokemon in the first place, but the Machamp definitely is; I got it at the Gotta Catch 'Em All Station in 2004. Unfortunately, all I have is my word that it's a real PCNY event, since it's not in any event database.

Also, what about the legality checker also telling if a Pokemon can legitimately be a certain level? For example, I edited this otherwise legitimate Typhlosion to have an impossible level, but the legality checker still claims the level to be valid.

PCNY events have an unknown generation method. There's a even a warning about it "This seems to be a PCNY event, PID method is unknown."

As for level checking, I'll enable it back since there is encounter checking for gen 4 now.
