Cyber Phoenix Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Just wondering what I would use for "Location" and "Encounter" when creating a Dream-World Pokemon in PokeGen. There is a location named Dream Ruins, but that is all I've found.
Acanto Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Just wondering what I would use for "Location" and "Encounter" when creating a Dream-World Pokemon in PokeGen.There is a location named Dream Ruins, but that is all I've found. Dream World Pokémon share the same Encounter type as every other Generation V Pokémon (Egg/Event/Honey Tree/Shaymin), and can only be caught in High Link Forest (Entralink Forest in international versions). You can either set 'Dream Ball' as the Ball type they're caught in, or specify a common Ball type. Dream Balls can only be used to catch DW Pokémon in Entralink Forest, but their use is not mandatory. Be sure to set the 0x42 value to 01, since you'll be giving the Pokémon its Dream World ability (I'm not sure if PokéGen already sets it automatically, check it anyway).

It's not (yet) set automatically. That's definitely something that could be done, however.
Cyber Phoenix Posted March 2, 2011 Author Posted March 2, 2011 Cheers for the replies guys. Certain Pokemon have useful DW abilities IMO, like Emboar with Reckless and Zapdos with Lightning Rod.
Guested Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Cheers for the replies guys. Certain Pokemon have useful DW abilities IMO, like Emboar with Reckless and Zapdos with Lightning Rod. Neither of those have been released and are therefore illegal. No Gen V pokemon will ever be released in DW.
Drohn Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 does anyone know what level the pokemon are when you encounter them from dreamworld?
Kaphotics Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 does anyone know what level the pokemon are when you encounter them from dreamworld? Here. Usually it's 10 or the lowest level they are catchable at in previous games.
Guest Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 (Entralink Forest in international versions) Actually Entree Forest. But I'm not sure if PokeGen updated with the actual English names already.
Codr Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 But I'm not sure if PokeGen updated with the actual English names already. It is in the next release.
Neffarious Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Using PokeGEN (cuz pokesav is the devil) do you simply type "01" into the extra bytes field 66(0x042) or do you select something from the dropdown as well?
Andibad Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 does anyone know what level the pokemon are when you encounter them from dreamworld? Is always lv 10, poke stock always set to lv 10....
Guested Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 Is always lv 10, poke stock always set to lv 10.... It shouldn't. The list Kaphotics provided is correct. That stuff is set by the game.
