wraith89 Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Ewww. It comes up as Mamoswine? That means there's no access to Ice Shard -__- Heh well, as long as it is able to breed and get Swinubs with Thick Fat, then that's fine.
eplushenko Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Ewww. It comes up as Mamoswine? That means there's no access to Ice Shard -__-Heh well, as long as it is able to breed and get Swinubs with Thick Fat, then that's fine. It's male so cannot breed and pass down DW ability.
Guested Posted April 23, 2011 Author Posted April 23, 2011 I've told you a few times now. You just need to go into the Dream World. Once you wake up and leave, the Mamoswine will be sent back with your pokemon.
ReignOfComputer Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 >.< Probably did something wrong. Will try again once I get access to DW in 9 hours or so.
wraith89 Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 It's male so cannot breed and pass down DW ability. Bah, so much for a non fire weak/ice resistant revenging Mamoswine. Oh well... I guess I will have to deal with my Snow Cloak version for Ice Sharding purposes. Hail, Ice Fang, Take Down, Double Hit... if only they were so kind to add Ice Shard. It wasn't meant to be Regardless, Thick Fat is a great addition. I'll see how I can work this one out.
ReignOfComputer Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 96 DW Mamoswine, all caught by me. Enjoy!!! DW Mamoswine..zip
rnstyip Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Gah! In a file? I can't upload it onto my cart. Good work. Do the DW Mamoswine have a specific OT/ID?
ReignOfComputer Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Nope. Their OT/ID/SID is set by the catcher.
rnstyip Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Dang. So the only way to tell that its from the DW is for the capture location to be "Entralink", right?
Guest Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 How are there 96!? I'm willing to bet that he made a backup of the save file before receiving the Mamoswine, then proceeded to capture Mamoswine 96 times by restoring the save file each time.
aquaguy34 Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 I'm willing to bet that he made a backup of the save file before receiving the Mamoswine, then proceeded to capture Mamoswine 96 times by restoring the save file each time. Then that makes sense...
OmegaDonut Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 ReignOfComputer graciously sent me his save file so I could RNG flawless Mamoswines and make them available to everyone for competitive use. Assuming somebody manages to find a competitive use for Ice Shard-less Mamoswine. Attached are Adamant, Jolly, and Naughty (for mixed sets) Mamoswines. Each nature comes in either a Dream Ball (for DW coolness) or a Poké Ball (to disguise the fact that your Mamoswine has no egg moves). FlawlessDWMamoswi.zip
Orcamania5 Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 I'm willing to bet that he made a backup of the save file before receiving the Mamoswine, then proceeded to capture Mamoswine 96 times by restoring the save file each time. So wait one second. I am failing to see how capturing 96 times works. You transfer a pokemon to DW then you make a backup save. You bring captured mamoswine to current save file and extract the mamoswine .pkm file. Then you replace with backup file and bring captured mamoswine again? but isn't mamoswine gone from DW already? I am confused. How extractly do you get whole bunch of DW pokemons?
ReignOfComputer Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 When you download the Pokemon from the DW, it goes into the Entree Forest of the Entralink. No more connections to the DW server is made, the Pokemon is on your game for you to interact with.
Orcamania5 Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Oh. Ok I now get how it works. Thanks for quick reply. But then... Isn't nature and IVs set from the point where mamoswine is transfered? meaning even if u capture again in Entralink, it will be the same as the one before. I guess it wouldn't matter because you can tweak them with pokegen.
James609 Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 Bah, so much for a non fire weak/ice resistant revenging Mamoswine. Oh well... It wasn't meant to be Regardless, Thick Fat is a great addition. I'll see how I can work this one out. Technically you could just use Pokegen to copy the Mamoswine twice and change the gender of the second, then breed it. The egg and the hatched pokemon would be legal and still have the DW ability..
Guested Posted May 30, 2011 Author Posted May 30, 2011 The egg and the hatched pokemon would be legal and still have the DW ability.. Perhaps by in-game standards. But that combination cannot exist, so it would not be legal.
James609 Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 Perhaps by in-game standards. But that combination cannot exist, so it would not be legal. Hm. Couldn't you give an everstone to the male Mamoswine? In which case giving it a fifty percent chance of having the ability? Or do the everstones not work on the DW Pokemon?
croove Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 DW Mamoswine is out in Korea now also and it doesnt require a serial code from a magazine or anything However, you need a kssn to even sign up for korean pgl
