Okami Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Because I want to breed it :] Besides, I'm sure most Feebas' on GTS would be the ones that never made it to the 180 Beauty point, duds.
Mewtwo Ex Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 That is of no importance. You have to make it's beauty higher than it's other stats and level up.
pokemonfan Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Feebas has an egg group actually 2! Water 1 and dragon. Those are the egg groups they're in. Here is a list of pokemon in water 1 egg group. Here is a list of pokemon in the dragon egg group. So feebas can breed, and people might be more likely to give feebas away then milotic.
Mewtwo Ex Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Feebas learns a lot of good attacks unlike his ugly brother as Wraith puts it.
pokemonfan Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Yes, feebas learns far better moves. since it can be tutored, is has egg moves, and it can learn HMs unlike its weaker counter part magikarp.
empoleonmikel Posted May 31, 2009 Author Posted May 31, 2009 i just bred a Feebas from my shiny Japan Event MILOTIC, however, i do not feel any satisfaction after doing that.. Locating and catching Feebas is a real challenge, and you know how you feel after overcoming a challenge, isn't it great? So, i'm wondering why some others resort to hacking, trading or migrating and get contented? Anyway, i respect their opinions, but for me, I will still try my best luck for that "fugly" muddy "carp! Conclusively, hunting Feebas within the game is a real big challenge.
Okami Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 ^ Yeah, but also remember that specific IVs and nature breeding takes a lot of patience to accomplish too :]
pokemonfan Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Yes, breeding can be called a far more difficult way to pokesav. Sort of...if you look at it a certain way...
empoleonmikel Posted June 1, 2009 Author Posted June 1, 2009 ^ Yeah, but also remember that specific IVs and nature breeding takes a lot of patience to accomplish too :] Yes, breeding can be called a far more difficult way to pokesav. Sort of...if you look at it a certain way... I agree with both of you, but at least, in breeding, you are "seeing" results, unwanted or not, and just repeat the process until you get satisfied. And satisfaction will be totally dependent on yourself. Unlike trying to locate & catch Feebas, it's like facing a "blank wall" :frown: It would be easier if catching Feebas requires surfing only, the tedious part there is that you have to surf & use fishing rod, throw it at least 5 to 6 times in each tile
Okami Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 WHOAMAGAH, guys! I hit one of the four tiles today! I was going through left and right and just about to finish my second row (2x each tile) and BAM! There was a male Feebas! I named him Lucifer, after the fallen angel, because he was hard to find, tricky to catch, and was a dang MALE after I had searched so hard to find a Feebas. I had forty GreatBalls on me, and in the end, I caught 20 Feebas. (It wasn't quite two balls per fish, but it looks that way  ) So if anyone would like a Feebas, just PM me and I'll see if I have any specifics for you! I am so happy now~ <3
wraith89 Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Lucifer.................................. -__- I'd really like a Feebas, but I can't use Wifi ATM. I'll look for them myself. Anyways, congratulations
FLOOTENKERP Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Congrats on the Feebas Okami. Yesterday I was lucky enough to hit one of the tiles. Sadly I had nothing on me at the moment to catch it. Didn't matter really since I have many bred ones.
Okami Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Yes, Lucifer. I've also got Aphrodite, Eros, Psyche, Judas, Rahab, some characters from the movie, Sybil (like Mike and Sid, they're adorable! <3)... and a lot of others. I was in an odd Biblical/Greek Mythology/Movie mood this morning. Merci, mon ami mes amis :]
wraith89 Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Merci, mon ami mes amis :] O_O LOL. I didn't give anything the name Lucifer because no one I have is as strong as he >.< But I did give some stuff Norse Mythology names and Greek and Mesopotamian. My Male Scizor is named Enkidu >.>
empoleonmikel Posted June 1, 2009 Author Posted June 1, 2009 @Okami: Congrats. Now, i can throw away the thought that Feebas do not exist in that lake. And please ignore my PM (it's been in your inbox since half hour ago, lol), i'll just try my luck on finding one although i already have a bred Feebas from my shiny MILOTIC.
FLOOTENKERP Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Breeding is much more easier, and you still get the same satisfaction of having a Feebas. But in other news, guess who caught a Feebas in the lake? Me!
wraith89 Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 O_O Congrats floot! Now I need to find one  Looking around the lake... but there's NOTHING here
FLOOTENKERP Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Simply move back and forth between two tiles, if neither obtain a Feebas, move on to the next two.
Aarux Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 So, you don't need to fish to find one? I thought you did. If all you need to do is surf... this'll be a lot easier.
wraith89 Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 So, you don't need to fish to find one? I thought you did.If all you need to do is surf... this'll be a lot easier. Wait, are you sure? I thought you were supposed to fish them out!!
Aarux Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Well... I thought Floot was saying that surfing works. Which I'm hoping that's what he's saying.
Mewtwo Ex Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 According to serebi you need to surf but if you ask me. In every game it has been fished. It makes no sense to have it surfed in one of 6 that have it.
Okami Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 The offer still stands if you want one, Mikel :] I've got more than enough now. Otherwise, these babies are going towards me trying to finish my last 10 needed pokemon in SinnohDex. (I still don't have Riolu? I guess I need to visit Iron Island again...never did get that blasted egg!) And congrats to Floot as well! <3 Anyways, for those who haven't had the pleasure of catching one, in Platinum all I did was take my Good Rod and place it in my selected item and surf and fish 2x each tile. Set about two to three hours or so to fish, going left to right (initially I was going up and down, it's smarter to do it the other way ) And you should get lucky that way. And if that doesnt work, breed like crazy lol
FLOOTENKERP Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 I meant by fishing. Move between two tiles, when you can't find one in either of those tiles, move on to the next two. And thanks Okami.
wraith89 Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 I'm still looking for my Magikarp's ugly stepsister. Do not disturb :-/ Would the Old Rod work?
