Thank you for your reply. If the “legality checker” is a tool designed to verify whether a Pokémon was created through improper means, then I agree with your opinion. Although this method had been discovered quite some time ago in the Japanese community, it remained largely unknown in other communities despite its importance. I decided to share it now, with Pokémon Bank nearing its end. (I use a translation tool.)

I mean if they've not entered HOME, you can do whatever they want, it's not like HOME is gonna know (I'm assuming whatever you do, the mon would be legal..). The only issue with changing immutables is *when it has a HOME ID*. If you modified it badly, when it re-enters HOME, it will get Error 10015 and never be able to enter back into HOME.

While it’s theoretically possible to change OT (oversight to some extent on ILCA’s part), they would log the change and could always punish you down the road. As for other details such as TID/SID, can’t be changed.

Its was pretty annoying and cumbersome lol but it really didnt take that long I guess lol. Here's a complete list of all 651 value that can be used in PKHeX's Batch Editor. I went through and made corrections that OCR didnt get right but being this was made from screenshots of dropdown list then ran through acrobat's OCR there are likely still typos i missed that may or may not need to be fixed. If you notice any typo's that need correction please comment. I also attached a .txt file to this post so you can just download the list instead of copying/pasting This will allow you to create edits you can copy/paste into batch editor much easier. PKHeX has no feature to copy the values from the dropdown list. You'd have to add each one, one-by-one, then select them all and copy and paste them to make a complete list. Keep this file handy when you need to make batch edits have it open in Notepad++ and you can copy/paste values you need anbd built groups of edits you can then save for keeping and always have for quick edits. This is what I've been doing instead of having to manually re-type every edit into natch editor every single time. Hope this is good enough for yall. If I may through in my two cents. This is super cool especially for those wanting to do ribbon master challenges, but I don’t think PKHeX legality checker should consider non Battle Tower legal Pokémon with the ribbons as legal. 1) Despite the player being able to do this only with official hardware and software the method is forcing the game to behave abnormal. 2) PKHeX does not recognize legally generated gen 3 Pokémon with the wrong PID method as the player again has to force the game to function abnormally. This is to keep the legality checker actually functioning and not overlooking actually poorly hacked Pokemon. 3) Adding this would be a pandora box effect of edge case additions to PKHeX’s legality checker which could negatively impact it in the end. Similar to the overall sentiment for Pokemon from point 2 you know its legal, but to keep the legality checker working properly PKHeX shouldn’t consider restricted Pokemon with the ribbon as not legal.

Unfortunately this seems to be a bad save file mapping problem. Would you be willing to share with me your save file here or in a DM? I do have some suspicions, but direct testing on your file would make it 100%, and probably help improve the editor.

Short answer: it's a false positive, and the cause is PyInstaller onefile packaging. Not anything in my code. The app is harmless, but you can run it in a sandbox if you don't feel safe. Checkout Windows Sandbox. You'd have to copy the save files and the save editor inside it, and run it from within the sandbox.

Hello! I have been wanting to get a hold of the beta Magearna for some time now, and have seen that the pk8 file has been documented on this site. Amazing! Though I have no way of getting it into my games myself - no modded switch, and regular sysbots don't recognize the glitch event as legitimate due to all the ribbons (as far as I can tell) Onto my request: could someone please help me with getting the Magearna into one of my games via trade? (I looked over the site rules, and while bots would flag the pokemon, it technically is a legit event and not something significantly hacked. I also don't even intend to battle with it against others - my interest is in building my collection). I'd really appreciate any and all help with this request!

Thank you for sharing this post on Discord. By using this method, we can give ribbons to up to three Pokémon at once—not just those that normally can’t receive them. I didn’t discover this myself, but I’d be happy if this post helps everyone who reads it. (It might be difficult, but I’d love it if the developers would consider the legitimacy of awarding Winning Ribbon and Victory Ribbon to Legendary Pokémon and the like.)

I tried using different apps to dump my save data but none of them seem to work. (FBI, PKSM, JKSM, Checkpoint and GM9) Any tips on how to do it? Shadow Lugia cannot be shiny. XD shadows cannot be shiny. You can't use Japanese e-reader cards for international games. Nobody is going to play through the games with your OT then get them with every single ribbon. Just hack them yourself and inject them into your Gen7 game.

Good evening due to the new poke bank info coming out and my time restraints I’m requesting 3 Pokemon that would be my ribbon masters. All 3 would be from XD Gale of Darkness with OT: ZACH. Whatever the legal random EV’s, iv’s and natures would be perfect. 1st being a shiny Japanese Scizor from the e-reader. 2nd being shiny shadow Lugia with its exclusive moves from Gale of darkness, and last being shiny ralts. I’m requesting them to be all the same OT, TID, SID, and all legal ribbons and marks to bring to my switch. Thank you so much for anyone that helps.

At-rest digital game save files are not in their decrypted state. Their encryption is console specific. Trimming to 512KB is only applicable to Gen4/5 save files. Use homebrew to properly dump your save data.

I've been trying to get up to speed with PkHex since being out of the game for a while, and I notice a lot of people saying to never modify the immutables. With bank closing, I'm looking to do the exact same thing as OP, but I would like to be the OT for all Pokemon where it is legally possible. Is it possible to change the OT and related information to my own while still being seen as legal? I would anticipate doing this before they ever enter Home, so the Home tracker would be generated after the OT was changed.
