Of course, there are times where you can overpredict. Not a good time for Scyther, because everyone knows Heracross would switch out if they encounter a Scyther, right? I mean, it's got a STAB Flying move, so one shot could easily OHKO Heracross. But alas, Heracross played mind games and decided to stay in and Stone Edge instead. Very tricky part of this game... when to switch out or to stay in and attack... and Scyther paid the price.

FAQs
1) Wait, what do you mean this was orchestrated?
Well, let's say... these two are my in-game teams (from two files for Pokemon Platinum), pitted against each other. So I basically was fighting myself... BUT, without bias for either side. I made some lousy moves here or there, but I did it as if I were fighting a real opponent for each side. Also, this battle was done multiple times with different outcomes. I just chose the most interesting one and decided to make a warstory out of it. For example, in my other ones, Vaporeon ALWAYS beat Flareon, and at 3 of my battles, the lead Heracross's Stone Edge missed, forcing me to switch because Scyther had a + 2 attack... and ouch! That thing kinda, well, swept... almost. There were times when Gallade froze Gardevoir, or when Gardevoir's WoW missed (although Gardevoir usually came out on top... only on two battles did she fall to Gallade, one thanks to a timely critical). I just decided to warstory this one because it was the most interesting :/
2) Chanticleer and Pertelote? Who are they?
They're the names of my chicken. Now why would I name them that? Well... I'd advise you to read the Nun's Priest's Tale from the Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer... then you'll find out ;)
3) Erm, why does Chanticleer have Pokemon with weird names? Feedlstick? spaling? What?
LOL. Let's say I did NOT name them and left it to some other people to name my Pokemon, heh heh.
4) Cool! So how do you fight yourself in Shoddy?
You'd have to open up two ShoddyBattles and log in twice with two different users. Some people disapprove of me doing this, however... but come on. Random battling yourself is fun! ... or not... *people stares at me as if I'm antisocial*
Note: This means don't try it...
5) How in the world did Flareon survive Surf from Vaporeon like that?
Let's say Vaporeon had no EVs in Special Attack while Flareon was running a + Special Defense nature with 252 Special Defense and max HP (252 HP EVs). That left almost no room for anything else though... but it's pretty cool.
Most of the time though, Vaporeon will win that match... but I decided to show you how a Flareon can beat Vaporeon.
Yes, Flareon can beat the other Eeveelutions one on one. Jolteon can't do anything against Flareon. :p
6) Did Gardevoir and Gallade ever get along after? How about Flareon and Vaporeon?

FAQs
1) Wait, what do you mean this was orchestrated?
Well, let's say... these two are my in-game teams (from two files for Pokemon Platinum), pitted against each other. So I basically was fighting myself... BUT, without bias for either side. I made some lousy moves here or there, but I did it as if I were fighting a real opponent for each side. Also, this battle was done multiple times with different outcomes. I just chose the most interesting one and decided to make a warstory out of it. For example, in my other ones, Vaporeon ALWAYS beat Flareon, and at 3 of my battles, the lead Heracross's Stone Edge missed, forcing me to switch because Scyther had a + 2 attack... and ouch! That thing kinda, well, swept... almost. There were times when Gallade froze Gardevoir, or when Gardevoir's WoW missed (although Gardevoir usually came out on top... only on two battles did she fall to Gallade, one thanks to a timely critical). I just decided to warstory this one because it was the most interesting :/
2) Chanticleer and Pertelote? Who are they?
They're the names of my chicken. Now why would I name them that? Well... I'd advise you to read the Nun's Priest's Tale from the Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer... then you'll find out ;)
3) Erm, why does Chanticleer have Pokemon with weird names? Feedlstick? spaling? What?
LOL. Let's say I did NOT name them and left it to some other people to name my Pokemon, heh heh.
4) Cool! So how do you fight yourself in Shoddy?
You'd have to open up two ShoddyBattles and log in twice with two different users. Some people disapprove of me doing this, however... but come on. Random battling yourself is fun! ... or not... *people stares at me as if I'm antisocial*
Note: This means don't try it...
5) How in the world did Flareon survive Surf from Vaporeon like that?
Let's say Vaporeon had no EVs in Special Attack while Flareon was running a + Special Defense nature with 252 Special Defense and max HP (252 HP EVs). That left almost no room for anything else though... but it's pretty cool.
Most of the time though, Vaporeon will win that match... but I decided to show you how a Flareon can beat Vaporeon.
Yes, Flareon can beat the other Eeveelutions one on one. Jolteon can't do anything against Flareon. :p
6) Did Gardevoir and Gallade ever get along after? How about Flareon and Vaporeon?
